In the clock settings, GPS is on, Daylight Savings Time is on, but the time is incorrect. The only way to set the clock is to turn GPS off and then you can set the clock manually.
If the GPS is working properly in these cars, certainly the clock should be set correctly. Why this is happening.
My '15 sonata Limited w/ Tech package has been having some issues appear with the clock on the Navigation unit.
A few weeks back, I noticed that the Date/time display across the top of the navigation screen was showing May 28. When I dug down into the clock settings, it was pulling the date May 28, year 2035 from the GPS signal. Each day it would increment to the next day.
Then last week, the date and time would not load across the screen at all. Only the normal blue bar appears across the screen without any text or numbers.
With the Daylight Savings time change over the weekend, I tried to change the time on the LCD clock in the middle of the dashboard, the clock settings are grayed out and I can not change anything.
I already hit the reset button next to the knob on the dash, and also pulled the 15A fuse but neither one worked to reset anything.
2015 Hatchback 25,000 miles ... Have a noisy clock spring? Are there any fixes available?

I have the lights set to auto , push the stalk forward and press the auto button; however, the brights do not go off when approaching oncoming vehicles at night. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something wrong with the car?
View 13 RepliesMy wife is driving my 2012 GLS today. I have the keys with the remote with me. Shes at a friends house and only has the key, no remote.
She just called me and said the car wont start and when she opened the door using the key the alarm is going off. She said she can't turn the key all the way forward to start the car
My plan is to go by her friends house on my way home from work and use the key with the remote. However WTF with this situation???
I just did a quick google search and found how to get the alarm to stop going off by leaving the key in the ignition for 30 seconds while its turned ON.
Just wondering if RC owners have noticed if the memory setting buttons on the drivers door panel forward of the door lock illuminate in low light conditions. I could swear they were illuminated at one time but now are not..
View 5 RepliesI was attempting to change my trunk light to LED but when I finally finished it didn't work! I tried to re-open the trunk with my remote and that didn't work. I had to start the engine and open the trunk using the switch on the door.
When I started the car I saw the clock was not working as was the dome light.
I probably should have unhitched the (-) battery cable, but was too lazy.
I started going through the fusebox under the hood and now I'm going through the fusebox just inside the door.
Does this look like a bulb may be burnt out?
It is dark between 5 o'clock on the speedo and 8 o'clock on the tach.
Where are the dash lights and what type are they?
Today while driving my clock/temp went out. After I parked, my remote lock/unlock was not working. At first I thought it was a battery issue in my key fob but then remembered the clock going out earlier while driving. Then it dawned on me that a fuse must have gone out. I checked to see which one was the clock fuse (third one over from the left on the top row, 10A) and saw that my add-a-fuse was in that exact slot that powers my interior LED's. I removed it and put in the original low profile 10A fuse to diagnose if this was the issue and the clock did not come back on. I tried several different fuses with no success. My first question is, what could have been damaged since evidently it is not a fuse? Second, could this be an issue that is not covered if I tell them an add-a-fuse was in there? Obviously I will just not mention it and remove it but what could be the issue here?
View 5 RepliesMy A/C has been making a loud noise for a couple months now ,only when I put the A/C on the highest setting. I was LONG overdue for a cabin air filter change so I bought a new one and while I was down there I looked inside the blower motor and here's what I saw... It is now blowing fine and not making a noise . Sprayed some Ozium New Car spray on the new cabin air filter and my car is smelling great now !
View 4 RepliesThe indicator lights stopped working on the switches and the dealer replaced a fuse and they worked again. Now they are out again and it seems like the heater on the drivers side is on the low setting for random intervals.
View 3 RepliesI've been driving this Sonata 2015 Limited and while going very light on the pedal in eco mode it is barely hitting 18 to 20mpg. I find that very odd, and presume something is either calculating wrong or the car has an issue.

Seeing issues with A/C not getting cold? I thought it felt a little warmer than it should, and then my wife got in my car and instantly called it out, and now it is pretty close to room temp. air....Could it be low pressure in the lines? Or the fluid itself (freeon...? =s) ?
View 10 RepliesHere is a quick video I shot the other day. This is the second time this has happened where the Cruise just won't engage. There is no error showing other than the message that comes up when I try to engage the cruise (Cruise on, press switch to the bottom to set.)
I've seen this same error if I try to Resume speed without having previously set the speed, but this was not the Resume being selected, but the Set.

Variable-Displacement Compressor (no clutch, anyway, so that's what I'm assuming)
Is it OKAY to drive the car without refrigerant to circulate lubricating oil, or am I going to be looking at a new compressor in a few years?
A week ago, a grasshopper put a hole in the condenser. Yes, a friggen BUG, complete with bug guts and wings stuck around the tiny dent and pinhole. I'm arguing with Hyundai over the warranty coverage, they say "outside forces" and I'm saying "defective part or crappy engineering"...
The dealer's service writer said there would be no problem driving the car while we wait for parts, as long as we didn't turn the AC on. Okay, it's not summer anymore, but doesn't the compressor want to be on in DEFROST setting? Supposedly the system won't try and turn on the compressor if it's low on charge, but...being a variable displacement compressor with no clutch...
I bought some new bulbs for the headlights and tried to install them today. I couldn't get the bulb to come out. The manual doesn't really show how to get it out. I know how to take the wire out and that;s about it. How to take the headlight out.

View 18 RepliesSo I noticed that my interior lights do not come on at all when I unlock the car, stop the car, turn it off, etc. If I push the map lamps directly they come on and stay on but don't shut off when driving. I have the front door lamp set on the in and out positions but nothing makes the interior lights come on unless I push the map lamps or the front room lamp button. Am I missing something here? Or is it possible the front door lamp switch is not working?
View 3 RepliesTrunk not open all the way when using the button on the remote, inside the car, or the smart sensor? It is pretty useless if your hands are full and the trunk opens a few inches and you still have to manually open it the rest of the way.
View 5 RepliesStrange thing happened today. Sitting at a light today, the car started to stall out and no amount of gas kept it going and it died. Tried restarting twice, it started and stalled again. The third attempt I immediately put it in drive and hit the accelerator and it took off like normal.
Just under 24k miles, absolutely no signs of issues before or after. Had a little under 1/4 tank at the time and it was a cold humid morning after a very rainy day yesterday. Possibly water in the gas or a result of the damp weather? Always use top tier gas and no CEL's or hesitation
I read in another post that when that person put their car in reverse, the back up camera came on, and the outside mirrors pointed down to assist with backing. My outside mirrors dont do this and I havent found anything in the settings to enable this. Is this only available with certain trim levels? Do mirrors move when you put your car in reverse?
