View 4 RepliesMy 2009 SE V6, I have the grey cloth/leather combo and the drivers seat is pretty much cracking. I am not sure if it is cheap or the unusually cold winters we had here in MD. The car has 28,000. I am going to show to the dealer because in the cracks, the dye is coming off. I had a Trailblazer LTZ for 3 years and never seen that happen but it was tan leather.
Second, my car at higher speeds has a lot of wind noise, I think it is the mirrors. I am going back to the dealer for my 30k gouging soon and I will show them the seat again.
When Rolling Either Of The Front Windows Down For The First Time Of The Day, It Sounds Like The Window Glass Is "Sticking" To The Weatherstripping When Rolled Down. Hence The Cracking Sound, I Can Only Assume Something Is Loosening Up In The Door.

What i'm trying to do is get the chrome to black but cannot figure out a safe way to remove them to either wrap in black vinyl, paint or just replace with black strips. View 10 RepliesSo my GTI is going back to dealer tomorrow to deal with a few problems that are driving me insane.
First the hatch is rubbing against the bumper in the corners and has worn away the paint on both sides.
Then there is the A pillar trim on passenger side that has come loose at the top, also we have the rear lights that are letting in water on both sides and finally the start button is starting to fall apart and has cracked!!
I have owned 4 vw's from new and never encountered this level of shoddy workmanship. I can only put it down to new plant and new model, very annoying.
Purchased in June and has 12,000 and love it but these niggles are frustrating.
I was searching for instruction how to replace the chrome trim that appears to be a seperate piece of trim on the rear of the Phaeton. Mine has some issues on the passenger side and would like to remove it to have it either repaired or replaced.
View 11 RepliesI bought the car from dealer, there are now FOUR! holes on the front bumper. I don't understand why they couldn't just use the existing holes to put the license plate holder. Now I'm stuck with these holes and I'm looking for a cheap alternative to fill them. I like the clean look of the front end without the plates and don't want to spend a fortune at a body shop, but I also don't want 4 dots either. What I can do/use?

View 4 RepliesSo I recently bought an '09 Elantra for 52K miles. Car's a beauty except the front bumper cover is loose under the headlight on the driver side(got it that way). The first two pics are from the driver side whereas the third shows it in comparison to the passenger (which is totally fine). The gap seems to be getting bigger ever so slightly. What would be the cheapest and easiest fix?

View 3 RepliesI have an 09 SE, In the center area under the radio I had a access card slide over the open bottom door into the abyss where I lost a tire gauge and who knows what else lurks in there. It was supposed to go in the top open area but the person just put it on the open door and it slid back and fell.
How to remove the side panels that run from the console in the center to under the dash? I need to access the area under the dash below the 2 storage areas.
I am assuming you take the screws out on the side and possibly pop the shift indicator panel out and lift the console off? Seems a little overkill unless there is an easier way. I really don't want to experiment and break anything.
I have a strange rattle from the center vent. This happens only at idle when at light or stop sign. If I move shift to N the rattle stops. This happens after car is warmed up to operating temp. seems like maybe the idle is a bit low. I have 35k miles.

View 2 RepliesThe radio trim/bezels around the center console and down to the shifter tend to be noisy when its hot outside and the car driven over rough roads. How to insulate these radio bezels with felt or some kind of insulation so the noise is dampened? I think any rough road tends to make them creak and the hooks tend to rub against the plastic..

View 5 RepliesHave a cracking noise coming from the rear windshield/deck when going over bumps when the car is cold? I've had this consistently since I got the car. It also has been consistently cold so there have been no warm days for me to tell if this noise goes away when it's warm out or not. It is extremely annoying though and I can't really pinpoint what it is either.
