Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Volume / Channel Buttons On Steering Wheel For Radio Not Working
I have a 2012 GLS and on the way to work this evening I noticed that the volume/channel buttons on the steering wheel for the radio will not work. The mode button still works properly, so I attempted to change the radio station on the radio itself to no avail. No buttons other than the volume work on the radio as well.

my timing chain slipped and had to have engine repaired - then when I picked up my car the display for the radio/clock didn't work and neither did the buttons. The knobs worked (to turn radio on/off and tuning) - but of course since the display is blank can't see what radio station I'm on.It worked perfectly when I dropped it off, but when I picked it up, it was non-functional. Mechanic says they didn't do anything with the dash - but how else would this have happened? Is this not the fault of the mechanic?

Stock FM/CD/SAT radio that came with my Sonata, AM stopped working intermittently while FM and XM both still worked. Upgraded the radio to JVC with Bluetooth and found that AM still does not work. FM works fine as well as all other functions.

Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Stock Sat Radio / DVD Head Unit Quit Working
My 2009 Sonata GLS stock sat radio, dvd head unit stopped working. Appears no power to it, won't light up or anything? Looked at the fuse shows OK? The radio / dvd fuse circuit, shows the led-digital clock is also on same circuit. The clock is working fine. I can not find any of the radio's wiring loose or disconnected. Has my radio gone bad already? Car has ~ 14,300 mi on it.

I bought my 2011 GTI new in June and shortly after delivery noticed one of the radio pre-set buttons sticks. You can pry it out with a fingernail, but it's clearly not right. This was no big deal because I was planning on an aftermarket stereo, so I told my sales rep we'll just take care of it on my 90 day inspection.
When I took the stereo in for service last week, they refused to fix the problem, stating I had voided the warranty by removing the stereo from the dash.
So now I'm looking for a way to fix the thing so I can sell it for the $100 it's worth on Ebay. Better yet would be someone from VOA who could talk sense into my local service department (Volkswagen of Oakland). Threatening to never let them see my car again didn't make them any less stubborn.

Funny thing - had the truck in the body shop for several weeks and when it went in, everything worked. Got it back, and some of the radio buttons don't work. These are rocker style buttons, and when I push the AM (left side) that works. Press FM, and it won't go to FM. Press the right side of the tuning button, and it won't go up the dial. Press the left side, and it will go down. Same for cd. Left side of button goes backward through the tracks, but right side won't advance. Bass/treble button: Press bass (left side) and that works. Press treble (right side), and nothing.

Looking at the face of your GM Delco radio, hold down the preset buttons 1 & 4 OR 2 & 3 (Depending on year and model) for approximately 10 seconds or until a set of 2 or 3 numbers comes up on the display. Write the numbers down. But the radio continues to display 'LOCKED', and no numbers appear.

In the 2009-2010, there is a blank all the way to the right panel next to the Dimmer/ESC buttons. My question is for those of you to have removed their dash, is it just a blank plate or does it have anything behind it?
I am going to mount my fog light switch there since i don't plan on removing them from the car and I do not plan on installing the oem multifunction switch. I have a really nice switch with blue light to match the interior cluster blue and it would be a nice use of a blank plate along with a functional location.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Navigation Screen / Surrounding Buttons Not Working?
For the past few days, every time i turn the car ON (with the headlights ON), the nav screen, clock and surrounding buttons illuminate as they should, but after ~3 seconds, the illumination for the surrounding buttons and clock shut off.
Also, the touch-screen functioning and surrounding buttons do not work at any time. The nav screen remains illuminated, however the touch-screen buttons and surrounding buttons do not work. If i turn the car off and restart, same thing; all lights illuminate for about 3 seconds then stop.
During the day with no lights on, the clock will illuminate for ~3 seconds, then shut off just like above. None of the surrounding buttons (climate, map, infom audio, display, etc) work at all.
What would cause this unusual condition? I feel like if a fuse were blown, it wouldn't work, period. But, the lights illuminate for a few seconds before shutting off.
The emergency flasher button works and illuminates always, and the passenger airbag lights do, likewise. I pulled the nav unit from the car and checked all cables, and they all appear in place.
I can communicate with the car via the voice commands, but that's it.
what might be causing these strange symptoms?
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: 2013 Radio Not Working
Shortly after buying a used 2013 Sonata the radio started working intermittently then quit working at all.It's the base model radio with no navigation and no reset button. I have tried disconnecting the battery, re-seating fuses and even pulling the harnesses off of the radio and it is still not working. Before replacing the radio I want to see if i can use a battery to power it up on the bench to see if the radio is bad or if the problem is somewhere else in the car.

There is a problem in radio of my 2008 Hyundai Sonata. The radio display illuminates but does not display anything. But sometimes it displays ok magically then again problem appears. All the buttons are working and sound is ok.
But, a week ago radio stopped working at all. When i press on/off button, nothing happens. Only once in 2-3 days it works for some hours then again turns off.

Open up the radio and put black touch up paint on 3/4 of the surface area of each LED along the side, there are 4 each side. This is a pic with 1/2 done and it was still a bit bright. so I opened it up again, it takes time, and lots of patience. Worth it though , maybe. If you are smarter than me, you can find the illumination wire back there (green/silver) harness/connector closest to driver, wire closest to driver again....up top (above blue/yellow wire) and stick a pot or resistor or whatever the heck....As for a/c lights, dont bother, it is almost impossible.

My 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited dimension radio (no nav or touch screen) is not working the display stopped working with no sound coming from the radio. It was cold one night and i shut the car off ran inside turned it back on and then came back out to start it and no sound then next day it came back on then shut back off. and no turn on 3 months later. I only had the car a year this Feb 2016 & of course they are saying nothing can be done. It'll be one thing if the radio just didn't turn on but my display is completely blank. No light no nothing. What was the result?
