View 7 RepliesMy dashboard lights and radio are not working. I checked the radio fuses and they are ok. I cant find why these aren't working.
View 3 Replies2006 pontiac g6 radio stop working after shop wiped engine & dashboard. Changed fuse and still nothing...
View 19 RepliesSo if i turn off the radio and turn the cabin fan on (lowest level) i hear a tick-tick-tick within the dashboard. It seems to be louder than I remember it to be..
Its there with both the a/c on and off, all temp settings. Fan going bad?
I have no owners manual and cannot determine the meaning of this light indicator on my dashboard. It resembles a letter "U" more horseshape with the exclamation point in the middle of the U. How to determine the problem that this light indicates? BTW, I have been driving my car and concerned that continuing will damage.
View 11 RepliesMy 2009 Hyundai Sonata's dashboard readings suddenly went "dead" yesterday that is - the fuel gauge read empty, the speedo wasn't registering nor was the tachometer and the led display couldn't be altered? What might be wrong and whether I can do anything to fix it?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2006 sonata and my alarm light on my dash board is blinking rapidly and then my blinker lights will turn on and stay on for a few seconds then it does everything all over again. My car has never done any of this except a slow blink in the red LED alarm light. I don't want my battery to die! Is there anything wrong with my car or is this normal?
View 1 RepliesI have a 06 sonata v6 with 120k. Today while driving the car started to lose power then the lights on the dash board flickered radio went nuts and the car lost all power. What could be causing this? Moved battery a little bit and got power back but then started driving and it did the same thing. I did have the heater on 2. You can feel it lose power while accelerating.
View 6 RepliesI just purchased a 2008 Sonata Limited and the XM Radio is not working, when you press the button to turn it on it gives you a loading status on the screen and does nothing else. The radio will play on AM, FM, and CD
View 1 RepliesI've notice it do this probably 4 or 5 times in the last couple days. I turn my brights on and the radio will turn off for a second and turn back on by itself. Its not just the display going blank because the sound goes off also.
I trying to figure out all electrical I have going when this happens. Rear Defrost etc.
I think it went out once without turning the brights on but I can't remember what I was doing that time. Have less than 4k on my warranty.
I have a 2009 3.3L Limited with the Nav system. Sometimes when I start the car the radio/nav display is locked up and will only display the Hyundai logo. During this lock-up, the radio still works. Using the steering wheel selectors I can switch beween station presents, between radio bands, and can change XM radio stations as well. The USB flash drive will not play any music during the lock-up. If I turn the car off then turn it on again, the problem goes away. This lock-up typically happens once every few weeks.
View 3 RepliesI'm facing a bit of a problem on my girlfriends dads 2009 Sonata (Non-Premium sound system). I just installed a Pioneer aftermarket head unit and am getting no sound when the car is started or when its in ACC mode. However, when the ignition is just turned to the "ON" position (first click) the head unit works flawlessly and all 4 speakers output sound. As soon as I turn it to ACC or start the car, there is no sound at all but the head unit still powers up and shows the track playing. I'm really stumped here guys. I've done literally countless head unit installations and I just can't figure this one out, nor have I ever seen this before. I thought the problem might have been a factory amp, but the head unit does not say JBL or Infinity so that leads me to believe it doesn't have a factory amp. Maybe I'm not the pro I though I was lol.
At any rate, just in-case it matters, there is a line out converter attached to the system in order to add a sub/amp to the stock head unit that I installed a few years prior to attempting the aftermarket head unit installation. I don't think that would matter but I may be wrong. I was planning to remove it and route the RCA's to the aftermarket head unit once everything was up and running.
I have a 2009 Sonata. The radio preset buttons stopped working. Any quick fixes to this problem???
View 1 RepliesAll the things radio, CD player and lights on the radio is dead. Cannot find a fuse for the radio. Hyundai Dealer says to bring it in next Tuesday. Says it may have a dead head what ever that means.
View 8 RepliesMy 2006 Hyundai Sonata ESC light keeps coming on and the radio and lights dim on and off. I already had two alternators installed whats up with that?
View 3 RepliesAt some point in time I noticed that when I turn on the rear defroster a hiss develops in my (factory-installed) radio, operating on the FM band. Most of the time this hiss is strong enough to mask the audio entirely. I noticed, too, that one or possibly two "printed wires" in the rear window may no longer be operating; however, I don't know whether this is connected to the hiss problem.
View 6 RepliesWhile playing the radio or a CD the unit will frequently generate a LOUD "pop" thru the speakers. It will repeat itself at various intervals which leads to my turning the unit off as it's most disturbing. I temporarily removed the negative battery cable but that didn't reset / correct it.
View 1 RepliesI just purchased a 2009 Sonata (82,000) miles for my daughter to drive. Didn't notice this issue during the test drive, but discovered it shortly after leaving the dealership.
The radio will randomly adjust the volume to 0. If I attempt to raise the volume it immediate mutes it again, and no other radio controls will work. Turning off the radio and turning it back on seems to fix it for about 5 minutes and then it happens again.
Also, any use of the steering wheel audio controls will trigger this behavior, and the steering wheel control buttons themselves just seem to do random things.
I'm annoyed at myself for not noticing this during the test drive, and phoned the dealer who just sold me the car but naturally he just said, gee, that stinks...or in so many words.
Does this seem like the head unit? The steering wheel controls? Something I can fix? I did try pulling the fuse but that seemed not to work. Also turned off the AVC. A bit of a bummer after only owning the thing for an hour...
My 2006 Sonata has an on again/off again problem with the left rear brakes getting very hot... Took it to my mechanic and of course the problem never manifested itself there and all checked out fine... Got to work last night and I could smell it as soon as I stepped out of the car and and the drum is glowing cherry red...
View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 Sonata V6 with 85,000 miles. A week ago, as I was making a sharp left turn into a parking space, there was a loud clunk clunk noise when I applied the brake and then it almost felt as though the brake pedal was slipping. I took it to a repair shop on Monday and they said I needed new front brakes and rotors. I said fine and had the work done. The clunk clunk noise is still there. There's no problem when I'm driving straight, in reverse or making a right turn, only the left.
View 13 RepliesMy radio never turns on with the car right away. The only way it turns on is when i crank my heat on for about 3-5 minutes. Then it powers on. Fuses seem ok. The service center didn't know what could cause this...
