For some reason, the search button isn't working. Anyhow though, I am wondering if there is a way to adjust the high beams on the Sonata? I know how to adjust the low beams but am at a loss regarding the high beams---the owner's manual only tells about how to adjust the low beams.
View 7 RepliesI replaced the high beam headlight bulbs in my 09 Sonata, resulting in no high beams working at all. Took out the new and put the old ones back in. Still not working. Checked all the fuses, and the relays. No problems there.
View 3 RepliesJust purchased a 2009 Sonata and the dealer did not give me an owners manual. In a recent phone call he promised to be mailing one so with that said I've looked on countless forums about this tedious issue I am having. I can't seem to figure out how to turn my high beams on. All other lights are working correctly and from a diagram i read online its like any standard high beam, just pull the lever forward. I've tried every which way but can't even get the light on dash to turn on telling me the high beams are even available. I clearly see them in the front of my car. And driving at night they would make a big difference on those back roads.

View 1 RepliesRecently i replaced the old lo beams on my 06 Sonata for some brighter ones. Roughly a week later while driving home on the freeway both lo beams went out. I noticed when this happened that the ESC, ESC (Off) and green headlamp lights all came on and stayed on for several seconds.
I replaced the bulbs after reading that if you leave the lights in the "ON" position while starting the car there is a risk of them blowing out sooner. I left them in the "OFF" position for about a week, but they blew out again. I've checked the fuses which all appear to be in very new condition.
My searches have lead me to the same solution (replace the bulbs) over and over.
My truck only has low beams. When you move the stalk on the colum backwords it changes nothing, when you move it forwards the low beams go out but the high beams do not come on.

In my manual, it says the 2002 has a fuse panel behind the glove box. I took glove box out but it doesn't look like a fuse panel.
I recently installed new halo HID headlights in my 2003 f150 with HID bulbs and ballast the passenger side worked and the drivers side didn't nth lights wired exactly the same. I switched everything from the passenger to the drivers side still nothing I switched everything back to passenger side and they don't work now. I tired regular bulbs in the passenger side an it worked then on the drivers side and it worked for a split second and went out and then I retried t on the passenger side and it worked for a split second and went out a now neither are working. I checked all the fuses and their good. What the problem could be?
View 5 RepliesI'm trying to get my fog lamps to turn on when my parking lights are on and low beams are off. I obviously want the foggies to be on when the low beams are on as well, but mostly I'd like to have the fogs and parking lamps on in tandem. Not illegal here in Illinois (not that I'd care anyway...there's enough corruption in the state to overlook such little things).
How to make this happen without a) voiding any warranty, melting anything, and c) blowing any fuses? Pictures would be most useful.
I'm hoping to make an easy fix (take wire A out here, put in slot B here, etc) so that my Sonata looks a little more...unique.

I have a 2010 prius the basic model I turned the lights and both headlights went out they only worked on high beams.
I changed the bulbs no luck they still only work on high beams checked fuses they looked good is there anything else I can check?
After spending weeks ordering parts and doing research on this issue all my attempts have not solved the issue. To reiterate the issue, the high beams work, and the low beams do not. Thus far I have attempted the following without the desired result-
1. Changed the headlights out just in case both bulbs burnt at once.
2. Changed the blinker stalk in hopes of a faulty switch.
3. Changed the headlight switch to a brand new OEM Euro style switch.
4. Checked all fuses (did this first actually).
The other night on my way home, I flipped on the high beams and the low beams didn't shut off. Flash to pass still works, and pushing in on the end of the stem turns the low beams off as well.
Having the column switch apart, is it possible this could be fixed without having to pull the steering wheel? Or, am I better off just spending the hundred dollars of so and putting in a new part?
It ford related but I just bought a used car that has hid low beams and when you turn on high beams there is no light at all. The blue light on dash comes on and head lights go off. I just got this car 2 days ago and haven't really looked into it.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2006 F-250 Super Duty (6 liter diesel). The high beams stay on unless I pull the fuse (fuse 30). It doesn't matter what position the headlight switch is in. It is like the high beam flash on the multi-function switch is stuck. It feels fine, but high beams stay on regardless of position, even with the truck off. The low beams (if in low beam when the truck is shut off) do go out as do the running lights after 15 or so seconds (normal) it's just the high beams. Also the high beam indicator light is on all the time (until I pull the fuse) and the fog lights will not come on until I pull the fuse. Should I replace the multifunction switch or look elsewhere?
View 10 RepliesI just ran into an issue with my 08 Sonata. Tonight while I was en-route to a emergency call, I came very close to hitting a dear. The low beams are angled almost to the ground and I don't know how to angle them up. I have to have my fog lights lit to see the road signs when my high beams are not on. Also need to know how to angle those as well.
