Looking for a wiring diagram for a 2006 Sonata SRS system they can post? I have a 2006 Sonata with the drivers side red Air Bag light staying on. Wiring diagram, and or SRS component required value (resistance, inductance, impedance, etc) ranges.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2006 Sonata that the driver side fog light stop working. I assumed it was a bulb from the posts I read. However when I replaced the bulb I noted it still did not work and I checked the replacement as well as the original bulb with an ohm meter and found both bulbs were good. So I wiggled the socket & wiring to see if there was a break or short but nothing seemed to fix the problem. Since the fog light on the other side still works, I did not check for a blown fuse.
View 1 RepliesSo I noticed a while back when I bought this car that my driver's side side-view mirror was a little loose. I didn't think anything of it back then b/c it still worked fine. Then just a couple of weeks ago the driver's side side-view mirror fell & hung by the wires connected to it. I can put it back to how's is supposed to be but it's really loose now. So I looked at the plastic pieces that hold this thing in place and I saw this:
If I put it back where it's supposed to be it stays up there but is very loose!
I have an 09 Limited with the dual automatic climate control. It finally got cool enough to start running the heater. The passenger side vents are throwing cold air instead of warm like the drivers side. This includes the windshield defroster. I'm thinking there is a diverter "somewhere" that is not working properly.
View 2 RepliesI have a problem with my drivers window, it will only work sometimes. It will just stop working, and to get it working again I have to mess with the window switch, pressing it up and down, up and down, sometimes locking and unlocking the windows a few times will get it to work. There is nothing that I have noticed that makes it start working faster, or stop working, it just decides on its own. I was thinking it might be the window regulator, but I wasn't sure if it would be that because it still works sometime?
View 4 RepliesSo, my driver's side window decided to die on me. When hitting the auto-up botton the window would go up 3/4 of the way and then atomatically go down. This happened the other day and when I tried to do it again, I heard a click. Then the window wouldn't move at all. So, now I hear clicking when hitting the window button, but no motor sounds or window movement.
To me this sounds like a dead motor and not the regulator. Do other's agree? I'd like to purchase just the motor and not both.
I have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. About 3 months back I noticed that the driver side window won't come down. When the switch is first depressed, I hear a sound like the motor is trying to kick-in but the window doesn't move.
What might be wrong, what I should look for and instructions.
I have an 08 Sonata Limited. About a 3 months ago, a noise began appearing on the driver side, sounding like it was coming from the engine compartment, and it has become steadily worse.
Today, I am learned how to replicate the sound, but I cannot locate where it is coming from. Here is the scenario:
The sound is a squeaking, like 2 pieces of styrofoam being rubbed together. The sound comes and goes. The engine must be in Drive or Reverse, and under load, meaning the driver side tire must be on the ground. If I jack the car up so that the drivers side wheel is off the ground, and put it in D and let the tire turn freely the noise does not occur. The car does not need to be moving for the sound to occur; in fact, it sounds worse when the car is at rest.
Today, I jacked the car up and took off the drivers side front tire to see if I could identify the source of the noise. Later, I put the tire back on the hub, and without lowering the car, started to tighten the lug nuts. When, I tightened the nuts with a wrench, I began to slightly turn the axle and shift the location of the engine and lift it, and I heard the squeak! Obviously, the car was turned off, so I was able to repeatedly shake the wrench and slightly turn the wheel, which shook the engine, and repeat the squeak each time. I lowered the car and jacked up the passenger front side of the car and did the same thing; I was unable to get the sound to occur.
I could now identify the direction of the sound, and it was coming from under the air filter chamber. I tried removing the air filter box, but it is held in place by a rubber plug and the air intake tube. Unable to remove the box, I could not see exactly where the noise was coming from.
Is there a motor mount under the air intake box, or is there another part that may shift over time and begin to make this noise? My best guess is that when the car is in Drive and under load, the engine vibrations are causing something to make a squeaking sound.
When I ease off the gas in D i hear a clunking noise (not too loud) from the drivers side (and even feel a it a bit in the pedal) over the slightest road imperfections in the road. it is not as loud as bad strut mount noises i have heard on other cars. sounds somewhat like what slightly loose lug nuts sound like except its intermittent. Could it be the ball joints?
View 10 RepliesWe have a 2008 NF, and have been experiencing popping noises from the drivers side near the door. Especially when it's been colder out, but in general.
The tie-rod ends, ball joints, and the struts have been replaced. The question is: What we is it likely to be?
The car has ~100k on it, so it was not really to surprising that those items would need to be replaced.
However, since I didn't have time to do it, we had someone else do the eval and work.
Are there any typical issues that stand out with the NF Sonata that would cause this based on what I've told you all?
It's a great car, but this is driving us nuts.
Recently got quite a noticable clunk/knock from the front driver side of my '10 Sonata with the 2.4.
Only happens at low speeds, most notably in parking lots.
My best guess is a stabilizer link or a ball joint.

When I lifted up my floor mat today while vacuuming it was wet under the mat. I'll have to get pictures later but I spent a couple hours tracking it down. It is originating somewhere up by the rear window and tracking itself down to a non complete seam sealer job in the back seat. I'll probably have to look a little closer at this area also WATER LEAK. Trying to figure out water leaks sucks!

It will either lower and then not come back up, or not lower when the button is pressed.
Most of the time the button is tilted downward.
Got the Airbag lamp on, so I checked the fault codes, it says that the resistance o the driver side seatbelt tensioner is to high. Is this just a oxided connection, a bad wire, or should I be prepared to change the tensioner-assembly in full?
View 7 RepliesI just purchased a 2009 Sonata with 78,000 miles. Car appears to be in great condition. I am using the air conditioner alot. I noticed the other day that there was significant moisture under the drivers floormat and the carpeting was damp. I let it dry and put the mat back down. That was about 5 days ago. I checked it again today and it is damp again. The car has not been in the rain during that time. Neither the carpet or the car smell damp or musty. What could be causing the moisture? It is only on the drivers side.

View 8 RepliesRecently when I first start my car in the morning, there is a rattling noise, which sounds like it's coming from the driver's side of the engine bay, or possibly just under the drivers side door. It only lasts for a couple of minutes. It will increase I accelerate, and then decrease as soon as I lift off the gas. After a couple minutes, the rattling goes away, and everything is right in the world. Today I drove it around the block and parked while it was still rattling away. When I put it in park the rattling went away. I put it back in drive and it came back. Then as usual it finally went away whether in drive or park. I'm completely stumped on this one. It's an '08 2.4l GLS and has 138,000 miles.

View 31 RepliesI am now having my first issue with my car in that the rear drivers side door lock won't always work.
After using the search function, it seems replacing the door lock actuator/solenoid solves this problem, but I could only find a diagram showing how to get at it on the drivers front door, not a rear door.
Looking for a diagram on how to do this, or info on it?
My driver side brake light keeps going out. I replaced the bulb couple of months ago and had to replace it again. Switch the socket? Switch to led bulbs?
