On my wife's car a 2009 Sonata, the driver's control of the power windows for the right side stopped working last Friday. The window switches operate on all doors, but can't control them from the Driver's door.

View 10 RepliesThe indicator lights stopped working on the switches and the dealer replaced a fuse and they worked again. Now they are out again and it seems like the heater on the drivers side is on the low setting for random intervals.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2006 Ford F-150 with about 43,000 miles .. love it. However, my driver side window stopped working today. For about the past month when you would power up, it would delay and then go up. This happened every so often. Going down was never a problem. Some times window would go up, then drop down an inch or so. Now this morning I went to the store and the window won't go up and it is down all the way. I do not hear grinding, only clicking. All other windows work fine.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2006 Sonata that the driver side fog light stop working. I assumed it was a bulb from the posts I read. However when I replaced the bulb I noted it still did not work and I checked the replacement as well as the original bulb with an ohm meter and found both bulbs were good. So I wiggled the socket & wiring to see if there was a break or short but nothing seemed to fix the problem. Since the fog light on the other side still works, I did not check for a blown fuse.

View 2 RepliesWe've got a 2006 Civic EX Coupe, and the power windows and power door locks have both stopped working. If I can remember correctly, they kind of faded out over the course of a few weeks, working intermittently then not working at all.
All window and door lock fuses (interior and under the hood) are still good.
What this could be? Is it something DIY fixable? I've removed door panels for random stuff, but haven't really done much with power window electronics.

My power windows have stopped working from all locations. I checked and the fuses are good. I can no longer use the exterior keypad to unlock the truck, yet my remote keyring switch will electronically open both driver and passenger doors. Neither driver's nor passenger's interior door switches work.
My brothers window won't work from any of the switches and the locks won't work they only work from the driver side no window action though from either side, checked the fuse and relay but nothing.... 1996 Ford Escape 4wd....
View 1 RepliesI have a 2006 sc430 and have been having problems with the drivers memory seat although the passenger one works fine.
I have disconnected my batter for 5 minutes, moved the passenger seat all the way forward, heard the beep. Moved the reclining part all the way forward until I heard the beep, and the memory seat for the passenger works great.

I even replaced my drivers mirror (didn't tilt down due to bad motor), but that didn't work. Of course, I did redo disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it resetting both drivers seat and passenger seat.
I've been having some troubles with my 2009 Hyundai sonata GLS 100k 4 cyl. Its quite an odd issue I've been having with my power windows. It seems that the switches or relays stop working intermittently however it does it in an odd fashion. First the drivers master switch works for all but sometimes not for the front passenger up nor down . The front passenger switch/relay does not work at times, up nor down, the rear passenger does not go up at all and the rear driver switch does not go down at all. I can't for the life of me fathom what might actually be the issue other than, all the switches breaking at the same time(due to power surge ?) Another theory I have is that is that my passengers and I sometimes place cellphones in the door handle and may have somehow damaged the switch ? I know these are some whacky conjectures but that I can think of.

View 2 RepliesI just noticed this the other day. The three climate control buttons on the right side of my steering wheel--fresh/recirc, front defrost, rear defrost--have stopped working.
The functions still work if I use the MFD display to control them. What this might be? Is there a separate fuse for these buttons?

View 4 RepliesSo my car is just under 2 weeks old. I had the car tinted today and now the drivers side window switch will not operate the passenger side window. The switch on the passenger side works fine and the window operates perfect. The drivers side window operates perfect.
The tint guys are still out there trying to fix this. There isn't some locking mechanism that could be preventing this correct? Or did they somehow short the switch out only on the passenger side switch? So aggravating.
All windows except the drivers window stopped working last night. And the front passenger window is down 2". Wouldn't ya know it before I got home it started raining. Stopped by a store and got a large box of cling-wrap to wrap the top of the door in plus stayed off the interstate to get home without soaking the inside but where do I start looking for the problem? Why the drivers window works fine but not the others. Seems they should all be on the same circuit. Everything else seems to be working fine, door locks, etc.

I hadn't used my car for like 3 weeks until yesterday when I drove back to PA from MA. I turned the car on, a/c on and went for a nice 6 hour drive. About 2 hours in (with a/c working) I stopped for a break. The a/c blower would not turn on at that point. I could hear the compressor clicking on (and the RPMs would respond appropriately). I tried turning it off and on a couple of times but no go. I decided to keep on driving and figure it out when I got home.
About hour 5 I turned the knob from OFF to Max A/C and it turned on! It worked fine all the way home. I drove the car a couple of more times last night with no A/C issues at all. Well today the same thing happened. Went to go drive and no a/c blower. Compressor still turning on. I changed the only fuse/relay I could find that was dedicated to the blower inside the engine compartment (40A) with no luck. Am I missing any other important fuses?
Being that it intermittently works I'm thinking something might be lose or some electrical connection.
This afternoon my instruments (speedo, Odo, Tach, fuel, and temp) stopped working. At first they were stuck in the position where they stopped. Got home and found a fuse labeled "cluster." Pulled and replaced it and all that happened was that the needles dropped to zero when I started engine again. Is there another fuse besides the one labeled "Cluster" in the box near the driver door?
View 10 RepliesMy driverside headlight randomly stopped working last night after i came out from a restaurant. the driverside was off the most of the ride home until it flickered on. now it randomly will only turn on for a split second then shut off.
i recently had my headlight / front bumper replaced and i was wondering what could cause this? normally if it was hid instead of led i would say its a weak ballast or so but i do not know how the LED headlights work. also the car is too new to have a weak ballast.
i do not believe its a fuse because the headlight will not turn on at all if it was a fuse. i also checked the box and all the fuses look intact.
