The visor suddenly made a clicking sound while I was lowering it and stays in the lowered position. The mechanism holding the visor up has apparently broken inside the visor. What is needed to remove and replace this under-engineered part?
View 20 RepliesI just replaced rotors and pads on my 2007 Sonata. I got top of the line premium rotors and ceramic pads from Napa. Cleaned the oil off the rotors and gave them a light sanding before installing, made sure that the caliper bolts moved freely and the caliper pistons were not seized and also used new hardware kit (springs?) that came with the pads.
Everything seems to be ok, except for a clicking sound that occurs on hard breaking as the car is coming to a stop. I think its caused by the pads moving within its mounts (I did notice it was very easy to slide these pads into the mountings, more so than in previous pad replacements).
Reading from other posts I think this is still safe, but the clicking does bother me, should I use pad adhesive to stick the pads to the caliper?
Where the flashers are located? I turned my turn signals on to find the clicking sound, but I couldn't see anything under the dash.

1. Freon pressure is high level in red and I didn't add any new freon.
2. Checked fuse 7 A/Con and 19 A/C Relay and both are OK.
When I click on AC on/off green light on AC panel the light is lit but I don't hear any loud clicking sound.
So I just replaced the front rotors and brake pads on my 06 Sonata. Before I replaced them, the front passenger side had a clicking sound coming from it when I turned. So I thought this whole time that I needed a new CV joint. But after I replaced the rotors and pads I took it for a test drive and I noticed that the clicking noise was gone! So I guess my question is, can bad brake pads and rotors cause a clicking sound when turning?
View 4 RepliesM/T 2010 Sonata. I'm just out of warranty at 102,000 mi. No issues before with clutch. I noticed a clicking or crunching sound when pushing the clutch pedal down. I took a gander and noticed the pedal was traveling farther than it used to because there were indentations in the carpet. So this happens for about 3 days. Then I start the car and cant get it into gear. If I shut it off, it easily goes into gear and I can drive. Usually it is ok after that point but is getting worse. Mechanic briefly tried to bleed it but the pedal stayed on the floor. He was able to get it to its original problem but said if he replaces the master & slave cyl then might as well do a new clutch. Because I had no slippage, no pedal issues or anything prior to clicking. Is 102k miles and 6 years usual time for these components to fail?

View 1 RepliesI normally drive with my arm (elbow) on the armrest and my hand resting on the gearshift. I have an automatic 2013 SE and for a while I didn't think much of it but sometimes it just concerns me because it's almost everyday now that I notice it... bu there is some kind of clicking sound a I can feel it through the gearshift. It sounds like it's coming from under it or somewhere behind the dashboard (like behind the radio console). I hear it every 3 seconds or so.. it's very subtle so I mostly hear when at a red light... it kind of sounds like something stretching or expansion, sort of like the sound wheels (or the exhaust.. not sure which makes that sound) make after you stop driving. The car seems to be running fine and I have no other issues with it. This is more of an annoyance so far but I just want to make sure this won't turn into a bigger issue.

The push start wouldn't work this morning, the car will make the annoying clicking sound, the dashboard is lit up but bunch of icons are active, the brake is very hard.
I saw few people had same issue and they said it could be either 1) dead batter 2) starter kit issuue.
My car is parked on basement garage, not sure how it can be towed. I wish a simple jump start would fix it and maybe I can bring it to nearby shop for checkup.
I've got a issue on the passenger side interior of my car that only seems to happen when it's cold/cool. I can hear a rattle coming from something plastic. I've turned off the radio and emptied the glovebox to ensure they weren't at fault.
Here is a recording I made last night with my phone. There was a decent amount of road noise on I-295, but when listening just now from stereo desktop speakers, I could hear the sound.
I have a 2010 Sonata GLS that isn't starting. I have full battery and plenty of gas. It doesn't click or anything, but all of the lights and electrical equipment work fine. Is there a common problem with this car that causes it not to start?
View 24 RepliesWhen I turn off my car I always get out within 10-20 seconds until today. When I shut it off after a errand I was checking messages on my phone and after about 45 seconds I started hearing this repetitive clicking noise from the left side of the dash near the vent area by the door. It clicked about 5 times and stopped for about 20 seconds, then clicked 5 more times, stopped for 20 seconds and again, 5 clicks, then it stopped and didn't start again. I am not sure if it is just the computer making adjustments, etc, but it is a little unsettling on a new car with 320 miles.
I thought maybe a bomb was in there. It was about 90 degrees outside and I had been using the A/C. I plan on listening again tomorrow evening when I get home from work and see if it does it again. (My car is a '15 SE 2.4L if that makes a difference). Maybe I am just paranoid, but you buy a new car to get rid of worries, not still have to worry if your car is breaking down, but I know new cars have a lot of features/settings/computers, etc and certain sounds may be normal.
My 07 is making a clicking noise while pushing on the gas, in cruise mode and while idling but doesn't click when I take my foot off the gas. It sounds like cards in bicycle spokes.

View 6 RepliesI bought a second hand Sonata NF 2006. Excellent car. At the beginning to me was hard to tell if the car were running or started because of the silence and non-vibration at all.
but, recently I think that I can hear a little click click noise, no the normal one, another and some vibration on the steering wheel that wasn't there before.
My car engine is G4KD 2.0 L 2009, no shift interlocking mechanism installed (I don't have the small button near the gear box to release it) also I am able to shift from P to anything else while the car not turned on, and I can shift without the brake.
2 weeks ago, I started to hear click noise (I am not sure if it was there before, maybe it got louder) when I switch from P to R, and from N to D, my car is on 80000 Km and didn't replace the gear box oil (dealer said oil is fine).
Car run smoothly but I am curious why I have this click.
I have a 2010 Sonata GLS and it has a starting issue. When you turn the key I have power to everything like dash, radio, lights etc. but it doesn't start. No crank, no clicking, just dead. I have checked the battery cables, battery posts, ground, starter cable. I kind of got the impression from reading other posts that it may be the starter or maybe ignition switch. I have replaced the starter once before but I'm wondering if you all think it's possible to be the ignition switch? If it was the ignition switch would the symptoms I am having be adding up? I guess what I am trying to say is if it was the ignition switch would you still have power to everything like the dash, lights and so on and the car not start or would there be nothing at all (dash lights, radio, headlights) in addition to the car not starting when you turn the key?

View 6 RepliesI was wonder for those of you that have lowered tigs, mainly coilovers, if you have expereince any creaking sounds in the front. I used my OEM sway bar/bushings/end links and I think that could be the issue. For those with coilover have you changed to shortened end links / aftermarket sway bar? My sound is not a constant issue. Mainly first thing in the morning, or if the Tig has been sitting for several hours, backing out of my driveway and pulling off at low speeds. Once I get to normal driving speeds, over 20 mph the sound goes away and doesn't come back unless it's been setting a while or I am backing out sharply and move forward at low speeds. Once back up over 20 mph it's going and I have no sound even at low speeds.
