I had the windshield replaced in my truck and now my drivers side wiper doesn't work. The passenger side moves normally however drivers twitches and doesn't move. Also if I grab it it moves freely without any friction. I'm stumped.
View 5 RepliesI just picked up my new GTI a couple weeks ago and today is the first time using the wipers. The passenger side wiper doesn't work at all. I took a look at it and the wiper is different from the driver side. The wiper itself is cheap plastic with holes every inch. The connector to the wiper arm is purple. Could this be a "temporary" wiper that was installed during shipment and the dealer forgot to switch out?
View 7 RepliesMy passenger side power window does not work from the drivers side control, but works from the passenger control. I replaced the master switch on the driver side and it still does not work. I have checked the fuses--Side, below and under the hood and have even found inline fuses below--all were good. Could the dealer have to program my new switch? I do not have child safety locks.
View 2 RepliesI have this 2005 Camry since 2010 and never had any issue. Yesterday, I used wiper and the driver side moved slightly. The passenger side wiper blade went over it. So I checked and the driver side arm doesn't move at all but the passenger side is working fine. Winter is coming here and it'll be terrible without working wipers. Is it something I can tinker on?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2000 Sierra and my driver's side brake light won't work but the light bulb is not bad. The Passenger side light, however works. What should I check on the truck to solve this problem. Would it be between where the bulb snaps in and where the plug for the lights plug into the truck under the bed or should I check something else?
View 5 RepliesSo my battery had died and just got a new one. But i noticed that my automatic up/down on the drivers side window doesn't work, I have to keep pressing the button for it to go up or down.... the other 3 windows are working perfectly. Is there a way to fix this?
View 3 RepliesSo it started when the auto up DID work, and when it closed, it automatically came back down. In order to close the window, I had to use the switch in the non-auto mode. Now, the auto up and down don't work.
View 11 RepliesLast night while driving in the ice and snow storm we had in the north east my passenger side wiper started acting funny was hitting the driver side wiper and not going full cycle. I think there is something wrong with the linkage,the driver side works fine bringing it in for service Monday.

I had the heater core flushed, inspection done, a tie rod end replaced, and both low beams replaced to pass inspection in January. The driver's side low beam stopped working after a week.
When I would hit a bump in the road, it would start working for a while till I hit another bump and then it would go off. Now the driver's side low beam never works.
I could have gone back to the mechanic, but it's an 80 mile round trip(they used to be a lot cheaper than the dealership). Now that the weather is starting to get better, do you think it's a simple problem that I can fix myself? I don't want to waste 80 miles worth of gas just to have them charge me for something that they already charged me to fix. The next time I'm due an oil change I may go there and demand that they fix the light too, but I'm not going to waste 80 miles of gas just for the light.
I just bought a 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD. Bought it with 99k from a older gentleman who seemed like he took really care of the car. Gave me all type of Lexus dealership service receipts. I recently noticed that the driver side seat heating and cooling doesn't work right, passenger seat works fine. I haven't checked the fuses yet just wanted to get some opinions before getting into it.
View 2 RepliesI have checked all wires for krosion and fuse's are good so confused! Just put brand new tail lights bulbs in! The top one comes on as a running light but nothing else works. I also checked under hood fuses too!
1.Only Hazard light that works is on the Right Front passenger side.
2 Drivers side Brake Light & Turn Signal Doesn't Work. But passenger works fine! Left turn signal is out and blinks really fast!
3.Passenger Side Overhead Outside Light on cab is out . Okay that's probably just a bulb!
I've got this 1998 Monte Carlo with 191K on the odometer. Last year, when it got cold out, the washer pump did not work. But when it warmed up, it worked. This last summer, I replaced it with a new one. I clean out the squirters and verified that it all worked beautifully and was ready for the cold again. Well, it worked a couple of weeks ago, but now that it has gotten cold, it does not work. And the real weird thing is that when you are trying to get the washer to work, the wipers are going, right? Well, when you engage the washer, the wipers slow down, like there is a tremendous load on the circuit, but there is no sound from the washer pump.

View 2 RepliesI have an O4 Phaeton here - the passenger wiper motor doesn't work.. After removing unit - verifying mechanical operation I've found that it's function just fine. However there is no power to connector. When wipers are running I supplied power with power probe and wiper operates just fine.
Cant find location and # for what I presume is a bad fuse. I looked for fuse diagrams all over and cant find one.
I have a 1997 GMC Sierra. I had a turn signal out in the front driver side. the old bulb was rusted out so i had to remove it with needle nose pliers. replaced bulb, and now i have absolutely no turn signals at all. not even the clicking noise or the turn signal illuminator in dash. I have since replaced the turn signal relay, but that was no luck.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2003 GMC Sierra with 146,000 miles. Yesterday morning when I lowered the driver side window, I heard a loud pop. After which the window would not go up when I pulled on the up button. However, when I pushed the DOWN button the window went back up. This was to me a good thing. It stayed up until this morning when while trying the passenger window I accidentally touched the driver side switch It dropped a little then slowly went down about a half inch as I drove. Luckily when I pressed the down button it went back up again. I've Benn told it is the window regulator.
View 10 RepliesThe driver side track on the bottom of the window has rusted out on my 1994 GMC Sierra pickup. Every place I've talked to that is supposed to handle glass repairs either doesn't fix this kind of thing or just plain doesn't want to attempt to fix it. The only advice one place would offer is to buy a new window with a good track on it, but how to get the old one out without breaking it or putting a new one in. I know they sell just the track for these windows, but I don't know how to remove the old one without breaking the glass.
View 24 RepliesMy Driver side wiper arm does not seem to work well. If there is a little bit of snow, it won;t move. If it does move, it is not in sync with the passenger side. It will even go off the window.
What may be the issue? This started when my wife move the arm manual over some snow.
The Prius that I bought brand new last October has developed a crack just above the driver's side windshield wiper. I noticed it today while washing the car. At that time it was about eight or nine inches long, and relatively hard to see due to being so low on the windshield. I inspected the crack very carefully and could not see ANY type of impact damage. After driving it around for the day, the crack has now splintered off and is going in a few different directions now. In a couple of places along the crack a few small chips have also broken off.
View 10 RepliesBought new wipers (Michelin) a few weeks ago. For the first two weeks, there was a nice, smooth, noise-free wipe.
Now the driver's side wiper has developed a very annoying chatter. What I noticed is that there were a bunch of very thin lines on the driver's side windshield, almost as though the rubber had rubbed off and left the lines (which ran in the exact same direction as the wiper). I've tried a special glass cleaner, wd-40 on the wiper. I clay barred the windshield this morning as a last resort but haven't tested it out yet.
I have a 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring Wagon. I've only had it for 3 months. Right after I got it, I noticed that the wiper on the driver side left streaks when used. I replaced both wipers with Trico Exact Fit, but the problem persisted. I just changed the driver's side one [b]again. This time with a $21 Teflon top-of-the-line blade (24"). It now streaks less, but the top 6" or so (outer edge of the wiper) still streaks.
Having ruled out the blades, could this be a wiper arm tension issue or am I using a blade that's too long?
