View 16 RepliesMy Downhill Brake Control light came on yellow three times today, Each time I was able to reset it by shutting the engine off/on but after a few minutes, it kept coming back on. I am hoping that it was the result of the cold rainy weather today.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2014 Santa Fe. Noticed the fog lamp light in the gauges does not come on. Got out of the vehicle to check fog lamps both are not working. I am wondering if there is a bulb burnt out in one of them, would that cause them both not to work. Therefore leaving the light in the gauge not to work. I am thinking this may be a feature to tell you there is a bulb burnt out.
View 9 RepliesIt was discovered last night that the third brake light (or Center High Mounted Stop Lamp/CHMSL) on our SF flashes a few times before going solid when I brake. I did a little searching and it seems that it is not legal in TX, so I guess I get to put in a call to the dealer today.
From what the interwebs say, it seems to be something dealers do as an added "safety feature" (and I even found research that shows it does get attention better than solid lights). There's a lot out there about people wanting to install this feature, and there are companies that do this for you. But I've never seen it on the road myself, and to be honest, it's kind of annoying. And the TX code is not the clearest, but I think it's saying "no flashing lights unless you're a bus."
Here's what I found from the TX transportation code:
(c) A person may not operate a motor vehicle equipped with a red, white, or blue beacon, flashing, or alternating light unless the equipment is:
(1) used as specifically authorized by this chapter; or
(2) a running lamp, headlamp, taillamp, backup lamp, or turn signal lamp that is used as authorized by law.
(d) A vehicle may be equipped with alternately flashing lighting equipment described by Section 547.701 or 547.702 only if the vehicle is:
(1) a school bus;
(2) an authorized emergency vehicle;
(3) a church bus that has the words "church bus" printed on the front and rear of the bus so as to be clearly discernible to other vehicle operators;
(4) a tow truck while under the direction of a law enforcement officer at the scene of an accident or while hooking up to a disabled vehicle on a roadway; or
(5) a tow truck with a mounted light bar which has turn signals and stop lamps in addition to those required by Sections 547.322, 547.323, and 547.324, Transportation Code.
Have had my Santa Fe now for about a week and the wife noticed a small flashing red light on dashboard almost to windshield. Looked in manual and cannot find anything about it.
View 19 RepliesMy 2013 Santa Fe's airbag light came on suddenly tonight. The car was not hit or anything. The light just came on and that's all I know.
View 12 RepliesAWD Warning Light comes on from time to time over the last week or so, estimated ever 4th-5th time I start the vehicle. No weird noises or odors, no sign of liquid substances on the driveway, drives fine in the snow etc. I wonder would dirt/grime/salt come in to play on the sensors?
Had an appointment to go to the dealership but cancelled because it didn't come on in while, but came back on today. I turned off the vehicle, and started back up and it was gone again. I find it's a total waste of time to go to a dealership unless the light is actually on at the time.
Light came on, most likely due to colder weather. Jacked all tires up to 35psi. Now shows 2 tires low pressure. Why? What is the exact pressure to be at? Says in the car there at 29psi ....
View 8 RepliesI noticed the "shield" or "reflector" in my OEM fog lights sagging. I've never really paid much attention to them but noticed that both were sagging. I'm not sure what the part is called, but you can see from the pic. Is this is an issue? Would this be covered under warranty? It looks like a screw has vibrated loose and the shield has dropped. I have a regular service anyway.

On two occasions we've had a warning light appear that is not the CEL. It's a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle of it. The first time, my wife called and told me about it and it only appeared for a few minutes and disappeared. I checked the codes and there were none--that was several months ago.
The second time it happened (a few weeks ago), I was driving on an interstate at 70 mph with the cruise control on. The aforementioned indicator light appeared for about two minutes and disappeared. I immediately called Hyundai Bluelink (within a minute) and asked them to look at the code history and they advised they couldn't see any indication of malfunctions. They further advised that indicator meant that maintenance was needed and that I should make an appointment with the dealer. I pushed them for more info, but the operator remained vague about what maintenance my Santa Fe required.
Why does it only illuminate for a few minutes?
2013 SFS 2.0T.... Rear hatch locks/unlocks good. When opening hatch illumination light will NOT turn on. Yet I can manually turn it on (switch by the light itself). It will stay on forever if in that "mode".
Front passenger/driver light unit was replaced under warranty. Just recently noticed it that rear hatch light issue...
2013 SF Sport 2.0T .....
Recently found that trunk area light will not turn ON when you open hatch (in DOOR mode). First I thought bulb is burned out ,but I can manually turn it ON and it will stay ON always or until I switch it to OFF. No recent hits/bump on hatch or any warning lights on dashboard that hatch is not closed. Alarm locks hatch and the rest of the locks OK.
2014 Sport bought new with 2400 miles is showing the yellow warning light that the level is low when in fact it's full. What the problem is so when I take it in for it's first oil change this week I could explain better to the service department. This is my wife's car.
View 5 RepliesWhere the Day / Night light sensor is located on the 2017 SFS? I am looking for more control regarding the brightness of the dashboard illumination.
View 5 RepliesI have a Hyundai 2013 Santa Fe limited with a warning symbol on the LED screen showing an exclamation mark in triangle (orange or yellow) that I cannot find any info on in the owners manual..
View 32 Replies1.4 yrs in, 35,000 km driven... now noticing moisture build up in my drivers side fog light lens. Called the dealership and made an appointment to have it, along with an annoying rattle sounds looked after - and when I asked the question 'would this be covered under warranty", she said - it depends.
Well... why? It either is or isn't... and what came from it?
This morning during cold start up I noticed my check engine light was on constantly, I was able to get a OBDII scanner from a friend and perform a scan after work and brings up P0116, google search says HYUNDAI - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Range/Performance.
I did notice the radiator fan seemed to be running all the time. I had a look at the coolant level and it's near the full level line (green color if that matters). My questions is it safe to still drive it to the dealer (30 km away)? Would this be part of the powertrain warranty?
Since my wife is out of town i took her car as I did not want to cause any damage.
2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport - 2.4 AWD - mileage is at 67,000 km.
I had my dealership install a car starter when I purchased my 2014 Santa Fe a year and a half ago. I noticed that this blue flashing light constantly flashes up by the rearview mirror. It looks like an anti theft device which it isn't' and really bothers me especially at night because it lights up the whole dash. How to disable this and still keep the remote functional?
View 2 RepliesSo I was driving along at about 50 MPH and came to a normal stop for a red light. Sitting at the light for approximately 10 seconds and feel the engine stumble or possibly misfire.
I immediately look for any idiot lights and see none, however above the mileage range instead of the pages that are normally shown I see:
LIMIT --- MPH
I drove for about a mile and everything seemed fine, I pulled off into a lot and rebooted the car and now everything is back to normal.
I noticed the turn signal light on the passenger side and mirror staying on. Wether it's started or off. Locked or unlocked. Don't know what the issues could be. Front one not on though
At the dealer now. I have 600 miles on it so I'm assuming it will be warranty covered.
I own the 2014 Santa fe turbo 2.0 litre limited which has 4000 km on it. Within 210 km the engine light came on 3 times. I took it into the shop and they ran a code of P0303 which is a misfire, they changed the coils #2 and #3 and cleared the code. The second time it showed the same code but the shop said it was in the history so that is why the same code came up again. They ran an update ECM? and all was good. Now the 3rd time they tell me no code has come up and can't do anything about the engine (they cleared it) but it was like chasing ghosts. My vehicle runs great so not sure why I am constantly having this issue.
