View 13 RepliesCannot figure out how to get the heated air to flow through the back via the rear vents. All I get is outside air. I cannot find anything about it in the manual. The dealer has no clue but is trying to find something on it. New 2009 Santa Fe Limited.
View 11 RepliesI have an issue with my a/c. The left side blows out air but it is not cold. The right side is cold. The whole front dash has 4 vents total so the left two does not blow out cold air at all.
View 14 RepliesI cannot get heat in the back seat area until the car has been used for an hour or so. The front vents are very hot...but the back blows cold air.
View 16 RepliesI have a 2007 3.3 with 42K miles on it and the AC just started passing air that's not quite as cold as it used to be. When its at idle I would say its a mild cold and then when driving its the same mild cold but with more force. Understandably today is really the first hot, humid day of many to come so I was wondering is there any good indication that its just low freon with a leak or the compressor is going or is there any adjustment to the belt in case its just slipping? I did it drive it for quite awhile and it never improved. I would hate to drive it more and ask for a bigger problem.
View 2 RepliesSo, I purchased a 2004 Subaru forester at the in of 2013, from a private seller. When I turn on the a/c the air is warm, I thought maybe the refrigerant so low, so I check the level and it is good, the a/c compressor clutch engages, but warm air still comes out of the vents. I am asking what else could cause the a/c to blow warm air?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2014 Santa Fe and after about 2 hours on the highway the A/C freezes up and won't blow air through the vents. If I shut off the A/C and run just fresh air in about 10 minutes the volume returns, and I can once again turn on the A/C for another 2+ hours. I run the A/C on fresh air not recirculate.
View 5 RepliesPush A/C button is always on green. The (air speed) 01234 button is also always on green. the Push button turns on and off orange whenever I click it.
Anyways, the AC doesn't blow any hot air... always just cold. I've adjusted the dial to red and have left it there for a long time... no hot air. Any trouble shooting I can do?
The front a/c blows cold air but the 2nd row and back blows warm. Yes the temp dial is on cold on both dials. Is there a separate a/c clutch that I dont know about to ck the air gap? Is there a separate port to put freon in besides the front. I need to get this fixed because with my bulldogs in the back the heat will kill them.
View 14 RepliesWhen I turn on the air conditioning, the driver's side works well, but the passenger's side vents blow warm air. What could this mean and could I fix it from home?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2000 yukon and the climate control stopped working. The defrost works just fine but the heater/ac stopped working nothing blows out from my vents when ac/heater setting is on. I checked all fuses and wires and everything is ok and connected. I just replaced my cd player and the next day climate control stopped working. I went back and checked the wireing of the cd player as well, everything is fine. Would i need a new climate control, or senser or is there a fuse on the heater itself.
View 1 RepliesMy defrost & front vents work fine. My back vents that are in the back of the console switch from hot to cold like it suppose to, but they do not blow out enough to feel it in the back seat or third row seat.
Also when I use the heat the front flat part of the console by the drink holders especially gets red hot to the point it can melt plastic ink pen or anything else you lay there. which concerns me since I have a 9 yr old.
After some diag I got the A/C to blow out the front vents. There are million threads on this issue half of them are never figured out. This is the second time I have come across this problem so will make this really informative for those who have this problem. If you A/C blows to defrost, yes most of the time its going to be a vacuum leak issue.
Step 1) turnkey on engine off, stand by passenger fender and listen.. can you hear the pump running? If it is your pump isn’t dead.
Step 2) does the pump run for 30 seconds then shut off? You may not have a vacuum leak. If keep’s running for ever you have a leak. Inspect all lines, especially those going down to the hubs for cracks. Also inspect vacuum lines under passenger glovebox.
Step 3) can’t find a leak? Disconnect the line going to the ESOF solenoid and plug it, if you pump stops running then your ESOF solenoid has an internal leak. That was my problem 6 months ago, replaced ESOF, A/C blows normally.
Try This Second! So my AC isn't blowing through my front vents again.... (more diag)
AC not blowing through vents and can’t find a vacuum leak? Take off glove box door, turn AC control switch to floor/defrost/front vents, watch the metal arm connected to the side of the big black box move up and down into various positions. I noticed on mine the arm will go down in positions (floor or defrost) But it will not move up! Which needs to happen to switch to front vents. If I push the rod up by hand manually, the ac will blow through front vents, and stay blowing through front vents even after I let go. PIC of metal arm thing connected to diaphragm, which changes air flow by moving flap inside the big black box
I am guessing the Diaphragm is the issue? The truck will continue to blow from the front vents even when the truck is shut off and restarted, it will stop when I switch the ac to a different position, it will not return back to front vents.
6 months ago AC started to only blow through Defrost, replaced EOSF and problem went away. Today my ac started to blow through defrost, switched to floor it will shift from defrost to floor, switch back to defrost, it goes back to blowing to defrost, switch to front vents, nothing stays at defrost. Air pump kicks on for 30 seconds (KOEO) then shuts off. If I disconnect a vacuum line pump turns on. I am pretty sure at this point.. its not a vacuum leak. What else should I look at?
View 4 RepliesIn my 2007 SF Ltd 3.3L both the Cig lighter and front console power outlet keep blowing fuses. I've checked inside the of the sockets and they seem just fine. This is no big deal but I would like to charge my phone. What I should look at next?
View 11 RepliesHere's what I have. 02 X 7.3L 4x4.
Heater will work fine. Then out of nowhere just blow cold. I can turn it off then back on it'll blow hot for 1 minute or 20 minutes. Then out of nowhere blow cold again. It doesn't matter if I'm highway driving or city driving.
I'm kinda thinking it may be the door in the duct that's just closing. I real don't know.
I took my 2000 V6 Passat into the shop because my heater vents were blowing cold. They tested the system and told me the following:
The hoses leading to the heating core are warm, but no warm air is leaving the heater core, indicating that it's plugged up with corrosion. They testing the coolant fluid and found that the incorrect coolant had been put into the system and that the fluid was carrying an electrical charge that must be corroding the aluminum portions of the system. In addition, the engine temp sensor is kaput and never goes up.
They offered a garden hose flush the heating system for a few hundred bucks, but warned that it is only 50% successful. They recommend replacing the heating core.
I have an 06 Prius. I was driving my Prius today and I've noticed that my car has NO HOT AIR...
And this is Winter!! I was driving for about 20 mins and still...No Hot air...vents are blowing cold (cool) air.
I recently changed my condenser/radiator but I did NOT fill my condensor with the A/C gas yet. (could that be the problem?) But isn't the gas inside condenser is for A/C and not for the Hot air??
Any other stuff that I need to check to solve this problem?? (harness, fuse etc.?) It's cold outside and my car has NO HEAT!
I had my entire A/C unit converted to R-134 on my 93 F-250. This was the entire system done at a FORD dealership. I've got about 1000KM on it, mostly this past winter. I noticed a few weeks ago when i turned the A/C on that the air seemed to be only blowing air, like vent. It was not air conditioned. I ran it for 15 min or so before suddenly there was a blast of really cold air and it held strong until i turned the truck off.
I cannot reproduce the results again, however. I can tell that the compressor kicks in like before, meaning it seems to be working mechanically fine. The temp outside has been at or just above freezing. Would this have any effect on the A/C? Should I park this is a heated parade or something to test it? What to test/check prior to bringing to the dealership?
Nothing will blow out from vents, with heat or AC. I checked the fuse under the hood and that had continuity, I checked the 7.5 fuse under the dash and that was fine. I also replaced the blower motor resistor and the blower motor with brand new ones. Also used a test light to make sure power was getting to the resistor and motor and that is all good.

My A/C is blowing cold but only thru the defrost vents. First it was blowing normally from the dash but during acceleration or under load, the a/c would randomly blow from any vent, from the floor, dash, defrost. Now that stopped and it only blows from the defrost vents above the dash-board.
