I noticed today that the bass from the Infinity stereo in my Santa Fe was making my passenger door rattle pretty bad. I haven't noticed this before (maybe it was from the cold weather?)
Has taking off inner door panels fixed the rattle? I read a few threads that made it sound like people just took them to the dealer.
I purchased a 2014 Santa Fe 2.0T last June. Has been an awesome car up until about 2 weeks ago. I started to notice a squeaky rattle sound coming from somewhere around the rear passenger door. I've tried pressing on things, checking all the door pockets and can't seem to find it. Looked at the front mud flap in front of the rear tire and it's tight. It only does it when I get above 45 MPH and is sporadic. I'm afraid the dealer won't be able to replicate the problem.
View 5 RepliesAny good fix for the door panel rattle caused by bass from the stereo? I've had the car to the dealership twice and it hasn't been fixed either time. It's not the door trim it's the actual panel, if you push right below and to the front of the arm rest it stops. Turning the bass down is not an option, if it's not meant to be up that far they shouldn't have made it that way. How hard is the door panel to remove? Also is there a fix for the seatbelt adjuster rattle?

View 4 RepliesI have a 2012 Santa fe SE that with 22k miles on it. I have developed an annoying rattle in the back driver side door. I have gone around all of the doors with a screwdriver and tightened up everything but this rattle persists when driving on moderately rough roads. As odd as it seems I believe it also occurs more frequently on smooth roads when going around a left curve.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2010 Santa Fe. The passenger front door does not close well. It needs a very firm push to latch completely. Regular push and it only catches first click and bounces partially open. I loosened the catch on the jamb, but it seems this is not adjustable.
View 2 RepliesI'm a new owner of a Santa Fe 07. My car will not completely lock with the remote. I have to remember to manually check it if the alarm doesn't beep. All the other doors will lock except this one door behind the driver. My model is AWD, it the 7 passenger one . It's not the base model. I didn't have the hard copy of the manual but I have a digital copy. We just got this on 4/24/15. It has 90 warranty but don't think they will fix this issue that I thought was only the childproof lock mechanism somehow or was not a big deal but now I'm not so sure.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2007 santa fe and my rear passenger door is locked shut and i cant remove the door card to gain access to the lock ! i have tried the key fob and all the other doors lock and unlock fine !
The lock lever inside the car for the offending rear door flickers when you try and unlock the door with the fob but that is all .
The stock stereo doesn't use the full range of speakers unless I use XM or my ipod. I'd love to listen to the radio with the same range of sound. Is there a code fix from the dealer?
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've waited 5+ years to try and fix it.

i have been searching forums and cant find nothing with this exact problem. i have been having a problem with my ML stereo system, i have a 2007 Lexus Ls460L, like a week ago my driver side door speaker was going in and out then it just cut out completely, 3 days later all my door speakers and sub went out but all my highs are still on playing normal i see post saying the amps go bad but everyone says a chirping noise or no sound but i have sound but only in for my highs i have no bass at all.
View 2 RepliesI picked up my 2014 Tiguan about a month and a half ago, and I am experiencing a tinny rattle from the front-passenger side door...and sometimes from the rear passenger door (or at least it seems that way). It is intermittent. Sometimes it is very slight, sometimes it is quite noticeable on acceleration in colder weather, and sometimes it is just not there. It is, however, bothersome...especially on a new car with 1400K miles. It is also the kind of problem that, in my experience, is hard for technicians to locate and fix. Where it might be emanating. Is it is a common problem with this line of VW?
View 4 RepliesMy wife's 2012 VR6 developed an annoying buzzy rattle that, I believe, emanates somewhere from the front passenger side - either from around the glove compartment area closet to the firewall/A-pillar, or the door itself.
I took everything out and still cannot figure out where it's coming from; thought it was the puddle light being loose (and btw they are loose) - but that was not the source of the sound. Best I can describe it as a cross between pebbles in a tin can and small buzzer; and it happens only on rough roads.
Many months ago I had a rattle in my 13 Azera. Of course when I took it back to the dealer they heard it but when I left it was gone. I had a scheduled service to have it looked at but the rattle never came back.
The last two weeks it is back louder than before. I thought it might be coming from the passenger seat belt housing on the side of the door but now it sounds like it might be coming from the passage side rear door or maybe the sun roof. Hard to tell yet my girlfriend was in the car last night said it wasn't coming from the passenger side seat belt housing sounded more like the rear of the car.
So going to make an appointment to get it looked at next week. I hate rattles! I looked all over the car yesterday after had her cleaned up. My trunk is empty, so not sure what it could be.
Having issues with passenger side door making noise on the highway at higher speeds or over bumps? I've recently begun to notice a slight rattle coming from the passenger side door when at highway speeds which becomes more noticeable and annoying when driving over a bump or less smooth roadways. I just reached 1500 miles. I have looked around on the forum and found some issues that various GTI owners experienced most dated from last year (talked with a MK6 GTI owner today at work who mentioned there was a recall not too long ago on this issue?), but I feel like that would have been since fixed with the R if the recall was last year.
View 9 RepliesHave been to dealer multiple times with concerns about speaker vibration from rear passenger door and rattle when going over rough spots from same general area. They end up saying they have not heard anything and I end up feeling like I am losing my mind. Does seem to be worse some times than others. Last weekend I opened the door and tapped the area around the base speaker. Lo and behold, sounds like there is something loose in there. Seems like it is moving around freely at times and may be caught somewhere and thus quiet at other times. What might be in there? Any easy way of getting at it on my own?

View 15 RepliesI have a 2002 F150 Lariat Supercrew, and suddenly a bad rattle developed inside the passenger side door. The window still works fine, but I'm afraid it won't much longer. I have taken the panel off, and can reach into one of the supports and mimic the rattle. When you shut the door, it sounds like the glass is going to fall out. I had to replace the motor on the driver's side door a couple of years ago, and I'm hoping to prevent another window sliding down inside the door. How to fix this situation? I haven't been able to feel anything that may have come loose.
View 3 RepliesNow that I have the audio upgraded in my LS, we have uncovered a slight issue with the drivers rear door. The installers will work with me, but I thought there is so much knowledge up here, why not ask.
Everything else on the vehicle works perfect, its just this one door as if all the power is off or disconnected.(ACC or ON power it functions fine) I have checked the fuses under the driver side and the ones in the trunk, they are all fine and we took the front driver door apart to make sure any connections were good. everything seems secure, we even looked over the ECU in the door to make sure it didn't seem fried or anything, all functions on front and passenger doors are perfect.
Here are the symptoms: passenger rear door light wont come on with the door open unless the ACC is on. the other 3 turn on, with or without ACC.
The door lock actuator from the outside on this door wont lock the doors or with the sensing when you approach with the fob and grab the handle (as in the lights there wont light up).
The door closer that finishes off the door being slightly open wont grab and pull it in.
The trunk lights wont come on and there is no fuse or connection issue we can see. Its puzzling.
Has noticed a rattle when going over bumps. The rattle seems to come from the rear passenger side at moderate speeds.
View 9 RepliesI think that one of them is coming from the passenger door. It is more of a clicking sound kind of, than a rattle. Maybe as if the door panel isn't tightly attached so it moves back and forth a little and clicks.
The other rattle is from the cupholder area.
I took this car to my dealer and they fixed another rattle from the passenger door (claimed it was a screw in the speaker that had fallen out?), but it was replaced by this new clicking rattle. They also claimed they did something to the cupholder to fix it, but it didn't work.
My question is, how the door panels are attached to the car? I was thinking that if it is attached by a few screws I will try tightening those up myself before I go back to the dealer. It would be great if it was just attached too loosely and I could fix it myself.
I have recently purchased an Hyundai Santa Fe 2006 2.2 diesel (Mk2).
I am experiencing a rattle when the car is out of gear. First heard it this morning. When I am in Neutral and I rev the car, as the revs drop back down to idle (700-800 rpm) i get a rattle from about 1000 rpm downover. Seems to disappear when at 800 rpm but not all the time. If I depress the clutch when sound is evident then it disappears.
