A few days after having the rear window glass replaced now the rear door on my 07 Santa Fe will not open. I hear the electric motor locking/unlocking the mechanism but the handle won't open the gate.
I guess I will need to get to the locking mechanism but it seems to me that it will take a lot of work to get the rear panel off from inside the "trunk". Is this a somewhat common issue with the SF? Any way to get it fix.
My wife's 2007 SF has a stuck gas door. When the button is depressed nothing happens. Is this a known issue ?

Sounds like the squeaking is coming from the left side "Rear Door Hatch Support" ..i believe that is what it is called. Is this something I can WD-40 and lube? Car is under warranty..
View 3 RepliesI am speaking on behalf of my Mother who just purchased a 07 Santa Fe, a long story short my niece in the rear passenger seat attempted to put the window down while my Mother attempted to put the window up at the same time. Now the window is stuck down. We have owned the car less then a week. I was thumbing through the Owners manual and it specifically states something in there about "Do not attempt to move the window in opposite directions at the same time" So it is only my assumption that this is what has happened. The door control does not work and the Drivers control doesn't work on that specific window but works on the others. I checked the relays and fuses for the power windows and they looked fine. I have never seen anything about moving a window up and down simultaneously causing issues in any other car I have owned is this a hyundai deal?
View 4 RepliesWe have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata Limited Edition. The problem started when the rear diver side door window stopped working. we took apart the door and saw that the cable was all twisted. We found the part at a junkyard and replaced it. Window worked. We closed the door and didn't think twice. A few hours later we tried to open the door and it's stuck. Both inside and outside handles move but nothing happens. The door won't open at all, what to do. We obviously can't get the door off without it opening. What may be causing this??

Bought as 6 month old demo in 2011 and from day one rear driver side power window has gone up and down slower than other three windows. Going up decidedly worse. My fault for not having it looked at while still under warranty.
Behavior the same using either driver's switch or the rear switch.
Well, now it occasionally gets stuck in down position. Neither switch works. But, if I press switch and pull up on window I can eventually get it to close.
I looked at other posts and saw no clear solution for this intermittent problem.
As long as we are mentioning things, the trim/gasket around my rear doors on my 08 Santa Fe does not fit right. You can see it in the attached photo. The gasket is one piece, and there is no way to arrange the slack so that there is not a gap. Maybe someone used the wrong one at the factory, or is this a common/known problem? I'll ask about it the next time I'm in the dealer.

Tried taking inner door panel off. very little access and liberal spraying of WD40...............
I have a 2007 santa fe and my rear passenger door is locked shut and i cant remove the door card to gain access to the lock ! i have tried the key fob and all the other doors lock and unlock fine !
The lock lever inside the car for the offending rear door flickers when you try and unlock the door with the fob but that is all .
Driver side rear door will not open by key, key fob or internal handle, 2007 model. Also is there an Haynes manual for this model....
View 6 RepliesJust noticed that when I lock the doors with the remote or when the doors auto lock when putting the car in gear, the right rear door does not lock. upon watching the process, it appears the the actual lock itself does not move all the way to the locked position. However, if you lock it twice in a row, it locks. it would appear that something is blocking it to close all the way, like say gum or some other type of sticky substance but I could not find any.

This really ticked me off big time today, whatever I do the gas cap won't open when I tried to at the gas station. Before I noticed that I would have to try this a couple of times before it will open, but today, it just won't open at all.
View 10 RepliesSo it's dark out and very cold so I have done nothing yet to see if it is easy. However my '03 3.5 acts as if the rear brakes are stuck or the "E" brake is stuck. Put the car in in drive or reverse and you can feel the grab. Same thing in Neutral. Not sure what is really going on. Will get it jacked up in the morning.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2007 golf 1.4, the rear door handle doesn't seem to be working and the child lock is enabled. I have been looking online and have struggled to find an answer for the mk6 golf.
- Tried so far- Standing there for about 5-10 minutes locking and unlocking the car while trying the handle
- Tried putting something down the side of the handle but either the coat hanger end is too fat or there isn't a gap like the mk 4/5's
- Tried hitting the handle bit where your thumb would be and just below there with a rubber mallet
Still no joy. The handle feels different from the other side which works so i am guessing the cables not attached to the catch behind.
Experienced the cargo door got stuck after rain? I have started to notice it and realized that it was after it got wet in the rain. It makes the electronic noise trying to open, but takes about 5-10 tries to get it open.
Also, is it impossible to make the cargo door electronically open/close like many other car models? I hurt my shoulder, and it is very hard sometimes to reach up and close it.
The power rear door to my wife's rx350 is stuck, mainly because there is a thick strap stuck in between the door. Pressing the power door open button won't work or even trying to use the manual button above the rear license plate. I can't even pull the strap out since it's jammed in there pretty tight. How to get the door working again?
View 10 RepliesMy 2010 Santa Fe's transmission has been smooth since the TCM update except there's always a clicking sound when the speed first reaches 30 km/h. The sound only happens once during each trip. It seems like it only happens when the fluid is cold. Once it's warmed up, it's fine.
Yesterday all of sudden I feel something is dragging my car. I noticed RPM is over 2000 when the speed is only about 60 km/h. (not mile). And the ECHO light is not ON. So I shift to '+/-' mode and the display shows 4. I guess it means it's in 4th gear. I shift up to 5th gear and RPM drops right away. ECHO light comes back ON. So is this a symptom of 2010 Santa Fe transmission?
I also feel my brake pedal is very stiff when this happens. And the brake pedal has not much travel distance. If the brakes are dragging car down, can this cause the transmission stuck at low gear?
The passenger side 3rd row seat is stuck in the down position. The driver side lifted and locked in place just fine, but when I pull the release lever on the passenger side the outer part releases but center portion won't budge at all.
I've tried everything I can, which isn't much other than pulling and grunting at the same time (usually works for me )Critical because I need to set the 3rd row up in order to reach the bolt holding the 2nd row seat so they can be removed so I can access the fuel covers in order to replace the faulty fuel sensors so my gas gauge will work.
