Turned car off yesterday for 2 minutes when I started it back up no volume coming from the radio. Everything seems to be working just fine except I can't hear a thing. Tried Factory Reset didn't work also pulled the audio1 and audio2 fuses and that didn't work either.
View 1 RepliesThe stock stereo doesn't use the full range of speakers unless I use XM or my ipod. I'd love to listen to the radio with the same range of sound. Is there a code fix from the dealer?
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've waited 5+ years to try and fix it.

This weekend, I drove 2 hours, stopped for a few minutes, then when I started the car there was no sound from speakers. Just 2 tapping noises from right rear speaker. Turning the radio off, then on I only heard the 2 pop sounds.
I left the radio on even though no sound. Monday night, starting the car for the 3rd time that day, the speakers worked. The next morning the speakers did not work. Now I just hear the 2 tapping noises, when the car is started or radio turned off/on, then nothing.
This happened twice before, once last year and once 4 weeks ago. Both times, the speakers started working the next day.
Bought a 2011 Santa Fe in May. When I'm warming up the car, there is a banging or knocking sound coming from the passenger side wheel area (I think). The colder the outside temp, the louder the sound.
View 9 RepliesSince few days ago , at the morning when moving from P to D , There is hit sound coming from the transmission with Car shaking, the issue started as like shifting sound with small hit sound , after 3 days , the sound be like hitting with car shaking .
This happened Just at the morning after around 10 hours of stopping, the case reproducible as I moved from D->N->D , But If i drive the car for short distance like 50m, every thing getting be normal .
The gear shifting smooth, the fluid at the level with good quality, the fluid changed at the 60K, now the car at 73k . What could be the issue ??
Encounter loss of sound from speakers? I installed a line output converter for my 2 12" subs and I recently noticed that there was no sound from 5 out of the 8 speakers. I checked the LOC and I noticed that the box had melted on the sides, I dont know if this is the cause. Subs are still working though. I dont know what to do or how to check and see where I should start to diagnose?
View 3 RepliesJust like the title says out of the blue the esc light will come on and it sounds like the front brakes are grinding. This only happens once in a while but more often as of late. Grinding noise does not occur until after the light comes on. Sometimes the light will stay on for a minute and then go out and everything is fine. Other times we need to shut the car off and on for the light to go out. Grinding noise only occurs one time in all instances.
We just had a brake job done 3 months ago so I am at a loss as to the problem. This is an 07 FWD Sante Fe.
6K mile 2011 Santa Fe Limited front wheel drive V6 and I am getting a humming/howling sound at 55+ MPH and it is very annoying, not too loud but there. It is really bad at 75+...
The tires were road forced balanced and a alignment was done by the dealer. The Rear was way out of align but they supposedly fixed it.
I do not get any kind of vibration in the body or steering wheel but the humming/howling sound is terrible. Almost like when you crack one of the rear windows and you get that pressure sound...
Is there any way to disable rear park sensor? I don't like the sound, but I want to disable it, also allowing to enable it again if needed....

I have a knocking sound from my D4EB engine (2008 Santa Fe. 120,000 miles)
Problem has been any diagnosis of the cause because the mechanics cannot agree. One has said top end and another bottom end. If it is top end when I think the consensus would be to get the present engine rebuilt. However, if bottom end then, because of the increased cost, the better option might be to replace with a reconditioned engine.
I have a 2011 Santa Fe 3.5L with about 108,000 kms (roughly 65,000 miles) that seems to have produced a bit of a whining sound from the engine. It will do it in park, or in gear, and the sound seems to increase slightly with an increase in RPMs.
View 7 Replies2008 Santa Fe Limited .... Car won't start. It has a new battery and alternator, new wires running to the battery. When I try to start it, there is no click and the headlights and dash lights go dim (they were very bright) then go back to bright when I stop trying to start the car. The same thing happens when I try to jump the car (using a car I have jump started this one with before). It has a Viper remote start and car alarm. When I first try to open the door it sounds like the factory alarm is going off, not the Viper one (and the Viper way of disabling the alarm with the valet switch doesn't work). The alarm seems to stop when I try to start the car, but not always. What could be wrong?

View 1 RepliesI sold my OEM navi a while back and never really drove the car enough to care I didn't have a radio. So this weekend I picked one up. Its a kenwood unit single din. The problem is that there's no sound coming out of the speakers, and i know everything is hooked up right and the headunit is playing because I was able to hook up and external speaker to play sound from the back side of the adapter. They worked all before and nothing has been changed or anything they are all OEM speakers.
View 4 RepliesI was driving the other day and heard the light thump thump sound behind me. I wasn't sure but its the same as when the door locks are toggled. So I guess the system was locking or trying to lock them. I noticed my passenger door was showing unlocked (Red showing). I manually toggled it but the e-lock over rode opening immediately as I was driving. It just wiggled.
I tested parked at home and the passenger door lock does work. Locks and unlocks with the FOB. The manual passenger lever which should move in/out appears to be disconnected. It moves slightly each time but stays showing Red.
Now to pull the panel off but it s a long hot weekend here. Shops a closed and I expect something is broken. Maybe a plastic tab holding the arm. I'll look into it tomorrow in more depth. This doesn't account for the original sound but it stopped for now.
Our 2009 Santa Fe has a knocking sound coming from the undercarriage of the vehicle. It cannot be heard when parked or when coasting. If I gently depress the gas pedal enough to rev the engine to 1500-2000 rpm when traveling at speeds of 35mph or greater it can be heard. The rate of the knocking / thumping appears to be related to vehicle speed, i.e., the faster we move, the higher the knocking rate.
Yesterday I emptied the vehicle of all contents and was still able to produce the sound upon demand.
My air con is not working, it started making an oscillating sound and not getting cold, which I think is the compressor. Garage couldn't find any leaks using a dye. So I asked my mechanic to change it. The generic part was a little over 300 but when he went to fit it it had the wrong number of mounting holes. Think he said it had three instead of the four from the original part? So he was not sure it was a suitable part, so didn't fit it. Because in the UK the CM model started selling in 2006 not 2007 it's possible he got confused and got a part for the older model? The car is definitely a CM!
View 4 RepliesI've got a 2011 santer fe auto with a foot hand brake. i park the car on my drive which is on a slight incline, when i put it in reverse and then release the hand brake there is a crunching sound and the rear offside wheel locks. It eventually releases after a number of revolutions but it sounds very mechanical clunky.
View 5 RepliesMy 2007 Hyundia Santa Fe has an erratic knocking/clicking sound when idling & has for about 6 months or so. Other than the clicking noise it drives just fine. I am wondering if this may be a result of a bad oil change experience I had in 2012. I'll explain ....
When driving home, once the car had warmed up, my oil pressure warning light came on whenever I came to a stop or idling. I thought this was strange but thought maybe it had to do with new oil fill & would go away.
All I knew was I didn't have the problem before the oil change - nor have I ever in all the time I have owned the car - seen the oil pressure light come on and stay on once the car is started. So I brought the car into Hyundai as soon as I could to explain the situation. They opened the oil filter compartment and quickly realized that whoever changed the filter neglected to put back a part that sits on top of the filter that regulates the oil pressure (only a $15 part without which the damage & cost of driving without is potentially huge).
There is more, but I think you get the drift. So, I am wondering if possible damage as a result of that faulty oil change might have something to do with my current problem or is it not possible given the time/km between when that happened and now? The car had just over 80,000 km at the time and currently has aprox 105,000. I have properly maintained the oil etc since that as well as prior to.
