I have a 2010 santa fe ,when I push the remote start button on the fob the park lights blink 2 times and no attempt to start I checked the rear hatch switch, door switches and the hood switch and they are working. What is the troubleshooting procedure for the remote start system.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2011 Santa Fe. I had to take it in for service in April because the shift lock was not acting correctly. Since I have gotten it back, it will not honk when I press the remote button twice. It did before the service was performed. The lights flash properly and the doors are locked, but I still want it to honk sometimes. Is there something that was turned off that I can turn back on?
View 8 RepliesThe 2012 SF I bought last weekend has a sticker on the radiator brace near the left head light stating the vehicle has a remote start function and there is a blue button with a key symbol on the fob that (I think) is supposed to make it work, but I have yet to get the remote start to operate. What's the secret? Is there a selection in the ECU that enables/disables it? Do I need to cross my eyes when I push the button? This would be great to have on cold or hot mornings - if I can get it to work.
View 4 RepliesMy dashboard goes out periodically then magically is restored. They say to replace that. I've decided just to trade it in and get a non-Prius. This morning, however, after driving for a short time, I pushed the power button to turn off the vehicle and it only partially shut off. The key wasn't in, so I put it in and tried again. Now it says there's no key in the ignition and still will not turn off nor turn on.
View 16 RepliesRecently my 2010 Santa Fe's remote start key fob is not acknowledging a response for any function on it and there is no blue light activating behind rear view mirror. I figure it has to be something fairly simple since it worked just fine last week. I have two remotes and when buttons are pushed I'm getting bright blue lights on both key fobs so I doubt if both batteries are bad, the factory key fob for door locks still works fine. I've read other posts and I'm aware that there is not many fans of the remote start feature. Its been -30 here in MB for far too long and I need this feature to work for me.

View 4 Replies2011 Sonata Se. Keyless fob will not unlock car or open trunk. Brake lights and overhead lights are all that will light. Immobilizer indicator flashes yellow when start button is pushed with brake depressed, car does not even attempt to start.
Putting fob in console will also cause the Immobilizer light to flash, no start up. Holding start button with foot on brake for a minute does nothing.
Owner's manual says call dealer. Car battery is 1 year old and 2 fobs have new batteries, and neither will work.
I just picked up 2007 LS460. I used the remote to open the trunk, but can't use it to close the trunk. Can only close by pressing the button on the trunk to close. When i press close on the remote, it beeps, but does not do anything.
View 7 RepliesI have a 07 Elantra with 68,000 miles. I am having a cold start issue. When the car sits overnight and I attempt to start/place the car into gear (auto), the car will stall. This occurs whether the car is placed in forward/reverse and with the a/c on/off. The vehicle will start fine the rest of the day with no issues.
View 8 RepliesHere is what is happening, if I press the unlock and lock button on remote or from any switch in the car , the front passenger door will not unlock! all of the doors will lock and unlock, except the front passenger dorr will not unlock only, it does lock,just not unlock, i think it may be a bad motor or actuator, I am sure it will be covered under the CPO warranty, especially since its only been less than 1 week since i had it.

View 4 Replies2007 Escape XLT 3.0 AWD. During the winter there can be quite the exhaust smell in the interior upon startup and especially if using the remote start. During driving the smells will clear out and appear again with an extended stop but not as bad as initial cold startups. I realize the hotter the engine and exhaust components the smaller the leaks become. Hopefully not an exhaust manifold leak.
Looking for a way to find where a leak may happen. I saw a video of a garage using "smoke" pushed up the tailpipe to find leaks. Or any other techniques or similar situations.
the problem is, i was listening to music in my prius 05 setting the equalizer. After i got my work done, i pulled the key and closed the door. when i was pressing the lock button in my remote key, it wasnt working. Then i went inside my car and even the locks and other things werent working.. nothing was working eventually.

Controls are manual version, not automatic climate control. a/c works fine but compressor is engaged whether a/c button is pushed on or off. the only way i can disable a/c is too set fan speed to OFF. does not matter if control is set to vent, or feet. a/c runs with a/c switch set to on or off. This is not an issue of selector set to dash or defrost. I assume it is not a clutch gap issue since the compressor shuts off if i turn fan control to OFF.
View 1 RepliesSanta Fe 2013. I bought it a few months ago and soon after a strange issue appeared from time to time. When I push the start/stop button it spins the engine but it wont start no matter how much I wait. Usually it start fine for the second time. This happens sometimes and sometimes not. About 2 months ago it didn't want to start for about 5-10 minutes no matter what I tried (push the button with the tip of the key), so I decided to go to a service station.
There they connected the car to a computer to check if there were any error codes logged. But they haven't find anything, after the second time I visited the station they replaced the battery in the key, told that maybe that was the problem.
I really don't know much about cars but it was a strange idea as I would expect the same behaviour when the battery is low than when the key is not present: Car not doing anything but displaying a message that the key is not present.
Anyway, it kinda worked, or I was lucky. For more than a month everything was fine, not a single issue. And today morning it started again. I brought my car to a hand washing, and after they cleaned the outside with steam they wanted to park the car inside the building to clean the interior, and the same issue occurred. And after that it happened with me as well several times this day.
I had a remote start installed on my santa fe and initially it worked great. Recently it stopped working correctly. The car still starts but my heat/defrost will no longer turn on. I have tried every combination possible but when I get in the car the heat is turned completely off and will only turn on when I put the key in the ignition and manually start the car.

Anyway, I accidentally pushed the key button and now the sks functions don't work. Car still (un)locks by pushing buttons on key fob. Car still starts by inserting fob into slot.
The display it's always on when you drive.I do not have a navigation system and sometime I don't want to listen to music while I drive.The Manual won't say anything about it,you can push the power off for the CD but then the display stays on.This is the first car that I own that you can't shut the display off complete.
