I have a 2009 Sante Fe AWD: What it means when the battery and seat belt lights flash on the dashboard while driving? The headlights also dim slightly and sporadically as if there is a huge load on the system. No noticeably pull or drag while driving.
View 5 RepliesGoing down the highway the other day my '07 SE started to flash the battery and seat belt "dummy lights" in the instrument cluster. There was no discernible change in power, other lighting, or anything else that I can tell. The lights didn't seem to flash in any particular pattern either....
What this might be?.....other than gremlins?
2007 Sante Fe Limited original owner. 87000 miles, great car. Having a problem with battery light coming on and then going off, also seat belt light off and on but no sound. The other night my ESC light came on for a while. New battery, alternator and serpentine belt installed a few months ago.
View 25 RepliesI replaced the battery in my 2006 Hyundai Sonata (3.3 V6) 3 weeks ago. 5 days ago the battery light and seat belt lights started flashing. Both lights would flash then go off. This occurred on and off for 2 days (no change in driving condition) then stopped for 2 days. Today the lights are flashing again and right before turning my car off, the check engine light came on. I turned the car off, then re-started and the check engine light remains on. What could be causing this?
View 3 Replies6 months ago After replacing both the battery and the alternator..The seat belt light and battery light both began flashing and then going off ..with no loss of power.. It has been coming on a lot more lately,with no loss of power...I do have a mass air flow code coming up with no issues as far as the car goes..no issues driving. So with a new alternator and battery put in what can be the issue?
View 4 RepliesI have just purchased a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fa and was wondering as to why there is no warning when I get in the car telling me to put my seat belt on either audio/visual.
How you turn it off but I am asking the opposite, no matter how annoying that sound its safer to have that belt on.
About 4 months ago, I had the battery replaced since the car was not starting easily and they said voltage was not good. They also shimmed the ignition coil at the same time. I thought it was a bit early for a new battery but ok.
Last Friday I started getting a flashing battery light on the console but no other issues. Thought I would bring it in Monday.
Sunday I was driving on the highway and all warning lights came on, flashing, console died then came back on with a bunch of warning lights and then the car died. I managed to get off the highway with about 10% power and park in a lot. Car would not start once I turned it off, click, click, click, click like no power etc but rest of power in car seemed fine. Started fine Monday morning and I drove it to the dealership.
The dealership says the code was P2502 (Charging System Voltage). They are going to replace the Battery Sensor first and then if that doesn't work replace the Alternator.
I am having an issue with the turn signals on my 2010 Santa Fe. When changing lanes to the right and moving the turn signal lever up slightly, the turn signals activate normally. However, when releasing the lever, the signal lights stop flashing (as they should), but the flasher clicks at a rapid rate and won't stop. I have to jiggle the turn signal lever to get it to stop clicking. I have checked all lights and the bulbs are fine.
View 5 RepliesLast night, while my wife was driving, the battery light on her instrument panel started flashing. This morning the battery light came back on when she started the car. As she was driving on the highway, the ABS light, the stability light, and couple other lights came on, plus her she was losing power to her wheels. She said it then felt like the car was towing a heavy object and that there was no power going to the wheels or any other part of the car. She was able to drive it a few miles to a parking lot, where it died.
When she tried to restart it, she heard a clicking sound, but had no power and the engine was not turning over. She could not remote lock the doors because the all power was gone.
The tow truck driver tested the car and said the battery is fine, but that the alternator was dead. She had it towed to the dealer, who also says it is the alternator that is the problem.
This all occurred after we had a previous, and resolved issue, to the instrument panel (including the light around the cigarette lighter) and the taillights going out intermittently. The dealer disconnected the electrical connection to the towing package and the lights have stayed on since.
Seems odd to have an alternator go on a two-year old vehicle (we bought it new in Jan 2011). Could it actually be the alternator or something else?
I have a 2007 Santa Fe. I was at a drive thru when my instrument cluster started to go nuts.. all of the lights came on then started flashing.. the RPM gauge was bumping around too.. for a couple seconds.. then it went away.. the next day I was on the way home and it started to do the same thing as the motor began to lose power while climbing a hill then the transmission couldn't figure out which gear it wanted to be in then I could press the gas all the way but nothing would happen.. the battery was completely dead. so I replaced the battery an about a week later it did the same thing. I had the alternator checked out but it was fine..

When I pull outward, lengthening just the shoulder harness, the light stops flashing. Letting go of the shoulder strap starts the light flashing again. Is there a sensor near the floor where the shoulder strap take up roller winds and unwinds the strap?

I've only had one passenger, once in the car, and yesterday, I noticed that the passenger seat belt light is continually flashing when I'm driving. If I'm in park, it's off, but when in gear, that little red light flashes non stop.
Is this normal when there isn't a passenger? I don't remember this happening before, and, I'm sure I would have noticed that annoying little beacon.
If it's wrong, how do I fix it? If it's supposed to be there ... how to I fix it?
I have a bizarre issue, once the car is running about 20 minutes, the seat belt icon on dash and passenger seat belt light (unoccupied) start flashing. Then the flashing become more like a flickering with a noise. At this time all power windows become sticky and operate under the same bop if you will as the seatbelt light. The doors the will not lock and the alarm will not work. Today it took me about 6 minutes just to close one window and i had to lock the car manually. After a few hours with the car being off, everything works fine again, then another 20 minutes of driving the issue reappears.

Ok so first the battery light came on then all the other lights on the dash came on, ended up dying and we replaced the battery but the abs, esc break light and battery light still are on the dashboard. Also I can use the shift release to drive the car but other then that it is stuck in park. I was reading that the car has a atm but I don't know where its located.
View 7 RepliesThis morning I asked the Hyandai dealer in Hilton Head, SC to repair the passenger seat belt warning bell in my 2014 Sante Fe. They said there was nothing wrong with the warning bell and that there was no error code in the system. They also claimed that the passenger front seat was not designed to have its own warning bell. Strange since it had always worked that way before. After a fairly long discussion it seems they did not want to fix this safety issue because it apparently involves replacing the seat.

View 26 RepliesThe headrest of back seat will bend over when fold down the seat. But one of the headrests can't go back to original up position. The dealer has adjusted the cable but this just temporarily fixed the problem. The problem is back again. I will go back to dealer but can they really fix it? Should I ask for a replacement of the whole seat?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 Toyota Camry LE, and the seat belt light keeps on flashing and the airbag light is solid. We have tried literally everything possible, tried replacing the seat, replaced the seats sensors, tried a airbag module out of another 07 camry with exact same part #. Toyota have diagnosed that all the systems for airbag is fine, except it has something to do with the seat belt of the drivers side/or module but all that's been checked and still no luck. My car is due for Safety inspecting coming month and need this to fixed. How to handle this. Btw light came on because we had a blown fuse for the drivers power seat, and my mechanic thought that it was the motor so we replaced the seat and noticed that it wasn't the motor. Was just the fuse and we put back the original seat and everything is functional except the lights came on. No accidents on it to the extent i know. and the wiring is all plugged back properly without anything like wiring damage.
View 9 Repliesadjust the electrically adjustable seat to her position. Since that is quite further forward than my programmed position the seatbelt was quickly choking her. So before I knew (I was sitting next to her) she unbuckled, with a bang.The bang was because there was quite a lot of pressure on the seatbelt.
No harm, nothing broken, at least ... until I heard the ping ping ping sound even though both of our seatbelts were in their sockets or whatever you call them. Inserting again, no change. Still the 'seatbelt light' on + the annoying sound.
Should I try to open the seatbelt socket/block/the thing where you insert your seatbelt in and see if there is some broken wire inside ?
I have a 2007 camry le, the driver side seat belt will not go in or out. How do I get into it to see what is going on.
