I have 2007 Santa fe Limited and have problem with door locking while driving. All doors was locking automatically after acceleration before, but now all doors remains open no matter what speed and what distance I drive.
View 5 RepliesI'm a new owner of a Santa Fe 07. My car will not completely lock with the remote. I have to remember to manually check it if the alarm doesn't beep. All the other doors will lock except this one door behind the driver. My model is AWD, it the 7 passenger one . It's not the base model. I didn't have the hard copy of the manual but I have a digital copy. We just got this on 4/24/15. It has 90 warranty but don't think they will fix this issue that I thought was only the childproof lock mechanism somehow or was not a big deal but now I'm not so sure.

View 5 RepliesI have a 2012 Santa fe SE that with 22k miles on it. I have developed an annoying rattle in the back driver side door. I have gone around all of the doors with a screwdriver and tightened up everything but this rattle persists when driving on moderately rough roads. As odd as it seems I believe it also occurs more frequently on smooth roads when going around a left curve.
View 10 RepliesJust got the girlfriend a 2002 Santa Fe and the front passenger door locking is a bit random! Sometimes it unlocks and unlocks ok from the key in the drivers door or the lock/unlock buttons, other times it half locks / unlocks (the lock button on the door panel half moves!) and other times it just ignores me all together! The cabling and cable boot from the body to the door seems in good condition (my audi A4 had that problem and you really dont wanna know about the wiring nightmare i had to fix that!!! bloody Germans!!). My feeling is that its a worn actuator.
View 2 RepliesI have a sante fe which has problems (suspect multiple) with central locking , intermittently locking itself - very annoying - even driving down the road.
Drivers door controls for central locking unlock button does not unlock the doors - button just doesn't do anything. Lock button works fine. In addition window controls on drivers door dont work - only control that works is the one for the drivers door.
Final piece of the puzzle - the red light in the drivers door does not work either nor does the drivers door button panels light up. Starting to wonder is there a fuse or quirky power supply problem somewhere.
2003 supercrew. Could this be because of a switch, fuse, etc?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2009 Sante Fe Sport 3.3; that recently just started locking itself. The way i knew was because the horn kept going off as if we were pushing the lock button on the keyfob a bunch of times. Well the keyfob wasn't being pushed and the only way I could get it to stop beeping was to hold the unlock button on it. I thought it was the battery dying on the keyfob but I took it out and the car continued to beep. We are taking it in to the service department tomorrow. The only was I can stop the madness is if I have the door partially open, to break the circuit (I would imagine)
View 16 RepliesI had a flat tire and used the spare. I took my 2007 santa fe in to the shop to get the tire replaced and an oil change. The 'shop' put the spare back where it belongs.
Now my keyless entry locks the doors (audible) but does not flash the lights or honk the horn. The lights flash when unlocking and when pressing the panic button. It all worked correctly when I dropped it off at the 'shop'. What to look for?
I have a 2011 Santa Fe 3.5L automatic with AWD. I have had a issue with the traction control indicator locking up. The traction control light on the dash goes on and cannot be canceled by the on/off control. It will reset when the engine is turned off and restarted. It is my understanding that the indicator should be lit when the system is actively meeting a traction control issue.
The dealer has performed service on the vehicle twice for this issue, and on a recent trip the system triggered again. It has engaged and locked on dry surfaces during a moderate turn while accelerating (merging from exit ramp). I have seen it engage under slippery conditions (snow... we live in Wisconsin) while turning and then return to normal once the conditions are stable.
My concern is that since the traction control affects braking in order to achieve stability under unusual conditions, that the possibility exists for a malfunction under braking conditions that might cause more problems than it solves.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and over the last 3 weeks I have been having a lot of trouble with my door locks. One thing is my automatic lock that happens when you hit 14mph, every time I hit 14mph my doors sound like they are locking 4 times, and every time I stop and take off again they sound like they are locking 4 more times. It is driving me crazy. Another issue I am having is my back passenger side door doesn't always unlock with the FOB or the button on the driver door, it has to manually be unlocked.

View 2 RepliesI'm slowly reading through the ES-350 manual, picking and choosing parts to read. There are several 'Personalized Preferences' that I've noted down and will have addressed at my 1st month service.
I noticed on pg. 21 of the manual that there are settings to set and cancel the door-locking/unlocking functions. These functions are also mentioned in the 'Personalized Preferences' section, so there is overlap here (on paper anyways).
Anyways I tried a couple of times to follow the instructions on pg. 21 to disable the door locking and unlocking when the car is placed in Park and Neutral.
It didn't work for me. The instructions aren't all that clear to me, nor of what they are supposed to accomplish. I'd like to not have the doors lock when I place the shift out of Park and not have the doors unlock when I place the shift into Park.
Right next to the tire pressure monitoring reset button (situated above the gas and brake pedals) there is a knob that when turned all the way right will click as if it was in an "off" position. What is this knob for? After doing a search, someone posted it is for volume control of the door locking chirp noise. Does it have any other function, or is this its real function at all? I didn't test it yet.

View 2 RepliesI just purchased a certified 2011 Santa Fe GLS and has a mysterious creak or "pop" in door pillar or door area when on a rough road or the frame is in bind on uneven terrain (minor at most). It's not major....just irritating. Will I get anywhere when I ask Hyundai to see if they can find it?
View 2 RepliesAs long as we are mentioning things, the trim/gasket around my rear doors on my 08 Santa Fe does not fit right. You can see it in the attached photo. The gasket is one piece, and there is no way to arrange the slack so that there is not a gap. Maybe someone used the wrong one at the factory, or is this a common/known problem? I'll ask about it the next time I'm in the dealer.
