View 5 RepliesI have a 2007 Santa Fe and recently both rear doors don't respond to the car remote and even to the driver-side control panel on the door. The only way now to lock and unlock the rear doors is to manually do it from the inside. Both front doors are fine. What could be the problem with the rear doors? Is it just a fuse? Or do I need to open the door panel and have a look inside? If I do need to open the door panel, looking for instructions on how to open it.
View 26 RepliesI have this problem with both the key fobs provided with my 2007 UK spec. Santa Fe 2.2crdi: The fob works only intermittently to lock/unlock the doors. I have replaced the CR2032 batteries, and the red light on the fob works as well. Is there a sensor that needs cleaning/adjusting?
View 1 RepliesI recently purchased a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT and don't know very much about it, nor Fords in general. I was just wondering if there is any way to have the power doors unlock automatically when I shift into Park or turn the ignition off? It has the option to have the doors automatically lock once I reach 5-10 mph, but I can't find any information about programming it to unlock automatically. It doesn't have the programmable computer display, so everything requires pressing a bunch of buttons when the key is turned on accessory and things like that. I have kids who are always in the back seats, and it gets annoying trying to get them out of the truck when it's off and I forget to manually unlock them.
View 6 RepliesIs there a way to not have all my doors to unlock when I put my 2012 Lexus IS F in park. I would love it if they all stayed locked, and only the driver door unlocked when I unlatch the door from inside.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2004 GX470, fully loaded. When I shift into drive from park, all my doors automatically lock. However, when I park and shift back into park, the doors do not unlock...I have to manually press the unlock button. Is this how it is supposed to be? I have ridden in later Lexus's where the doors unlock when you shift to park. Or is there a switch or method to get the doors to unlock when shifting into park?
View 7 RepliesI have a 2011 Azera. The rear doors don't automatically unlock when shifting into park. They function properly otherwise. The child door locks are set in the open position.
View 2 RepliesWhen I put the truck in to park, the doors do not unlock. They work fine with the button or the key fob. What do I need to do to fix this issue. Its quite annoying considering I have passengers with frequently that need to open the door a lot.
View 7 RepliesMy son used my Santa Fe this afternoon, and when he came home the fob would not lock or unlock doors. Additionally, the door lock button in the car will not work-I had to manually lock all the doors. Car starts. Am I missing something?
View 12 RepliesI have a 2001 santa fe. replaced the battery, alternator and I keep losing power while driving, radio goes on and off, a/c blows on and off, doors lock and unlock by themselves it holds a charge for about a week then breaks down again!
View 5 RepliesI have a sante fe which has problems (suspect multiple) with central locking , intermittently locking itself - very annoying - even driving down the road.
Drivers door controls for central locking unlock button does not unlock the doors - button just doesn't do anything. Lock button works fine. In addition window controls on drivers door dont work - only control that works is the one for the drivers door.
Final piece of the puzzle - the red light in the drivers door does not work either nor does the drivers door button panels light up. Starting to wonder is there a fuse or quirky power supply problem somewhere.
The rear doors on our '07 V10 no longer unlock when the handle is grasped. They also refuse to respond to the unlock button on the key fob. They will unlock in response to the button on the inside of the driver's door.
View 1 RepliesI typically carry my keys in my laptop bag, and on my 09 LS460 when I use to open up the back door by grabbing onto the handle all the doors would unlock. Now on my 08 LS460L when I open up the back door it doesn't open all the doors. Is this some type of setting I can change? Or is this something they changed from 08 to 09?
View 11 RepliesSix year old car, 115k on the clock. Starting last week, I've been unable to unlock the doors on the es. Whether it's via the key fob or the sensors on the door handles. I've noticed the behaviour in the morning when it's cold, so I'm assuming it's mechanical. When the weather warms up, everything seems to work again. I've done some research here and while nothing turned up for our es's, I think it might be the actuators for the locks based on responses I've seen from the is and gs owners.
I guess the weird part for me is that all locks but the driver door lock seem to have failed - all at the same time. I can lock, but not unlock. Trying to figure if there's singe common point of failure which would cause three failures simultaneously. Perhaps it's just coincidence? I'm fully prepared to remove the panels and tackle this project.
2008 LS... It's been maybe 12 hours since I drove it last. I've had dead batteries before but the lights still worked dimly and there were clicks when I tried to start... there was at least SOME level of life in the car... but now I get it... NOTHING.... doors won't lock or unlock... not one light comes on...
View 14 RepliesI have a problem with one of my key fobs. It does not lock/unlock the doors or open the hatch but it still starts the car. The red LED light flashes for an extended period of time too. The other Key Fob is working fine.
View 3 RepliesMy car has been great until April this year. Out of nowhere, I could not unlock any door with the key FOB or black piece on the handle. I had to manually unlock it and then the car would not start.
Took it to the dealer, left it; they found nothing wrong. Same exact thing happened again in May and again on June 18th. I have only 49,390K on the car. I want to talk to Corporate but dealer will not give me the information.
Experienced problem with the Automatic locks on the doors? The doors on my camry lock as soon as I move the shifter out of park. The owners manual indicates that I can get the doors to lock automatically at 20 km/hr. I have tried following the instructions in the manual to make this happen but without any success.
View 14 RepliesI did a search and read the manual but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there a way to unlock all of the doors by pushing the unlock button on the key fob once? I see in the manual it can be done I think by turning "remote 2 - press unlock" on in the car settings but it doesn't seem to work. Also am I reading correctly that there are no door unlock sensors on the rear doors? With my LS and my old IS I could touch the rear doors and all of the doors would unlock but this can't be done on the GX?
View 3 RepliesAfter going through a car wash my Prius has started locking all doors when I start the car and unlocking driver's and passenger front doors when I turn it off. Kind of wondering how this could happen, but since I like it that way I don't really want to change it back. Is there a way to toggle this and can I change it so that rear doors and hatchback unlock also when I turn the car off?
View 7 RepliesI just came back from a 3 day trip and went to get into my car with my regular FOB and it won't work. I tried to open the door using the actual key in the front driver side door (the only door with a key hole) and it would turn but not unlock.
What could be wrong? I've had the battery die on me before and I was able to get into the car to boost it, so I don't think its the battery.
Just find it strange that the FOB AND actual key won't open the door (even though the key turns).
