My 2009 Santa Fe GLS a/c, heater, etc. blower has stopped blowing air. I have checked the fuses, did the push test on the air adjustment button but nothing has worked. Sometimes it's like I can feel a VERY SMALL amount of air blowing out the vents.
View 3 RepliesI have a SF 2009 Limited. Since I bought it 2 years ago, I noticed the heater blows luke warm air. Not hot. It takes 20min for the cabin to reach 22degC when it's only 0 outside.
It was like that when brand new.
It has the auto temp control, so it might be playing tricks on me but I don't think so.
I am tempted to find the pipe feeding the heater radiator and insulate the pipes. Maybe the heater only gets warm liquid.
What else can I do?
AS topic states, it just stopped working on my wife's drive home from work... I believe the fuse is the 2nd one from the top.. far left... I checked it, and it's in-tact...

View 2 RepliesI took my truck to autozone to get a new flasher relay because my old one was making alll sorts of noise. After replacing nothing was fixed. I moved my tilt steering up and magically my blinkers worked. In the mean time the autozone guy was messing with the relays under the steering column and then in noticed my heater wasn't blowing any air, i turned it to A/C and still nothing, defrost nothing. so I replaced the relay next to the flasher relay and still nothing? Also the manual says nothing about a fuse designated to the blower fan, and all fuses checked out ok!!
View 4 RepliesThe heater/ac blower stopped working on my 2004 Lexus GX470. All the lights and display work but the fan doesn't work on any speed. I replaced the relay in the fuse box under the hood but no luck. I removed the blower and it works when I hot wire it to the battery. I checked the voltage coming into the blower and its at 13.5V, same as coming off the battery but it doesn't turn the fan.

I'll probably clean it out and spray something in it before I replace it but I just wondered how hard it is to get to. On another note, this 4 wheel drive Santa Fe rocks in the snow! I can't believe what good traction it has!

View 5 RepliesI have a 2007 Sonata 2.0 crdi which is poorly. The heater stopped blowing out hot air on Saturday. The heater is only blowing slightly warm air. The passenger side seems to be slightly warmer. I have looked at the side of the heater matrix whilst rotating the temp control on the passenger side and this moves the plastic adjuster on the matrix freely. When I turn the fan speed controller then the adjustment on the drivers side on the matrix moves. Both of these move freely.
View 6 RepliesWe have a 2013 Elantra. This evening we washed the car and when we started up again, the heater / ac fan inside the cabin would not blow air. I looked at the fuse panel by the driver's left knee and checked the 3 fuses labeled 'blower'. They were all fine. There are a couple of fuses under the hood that are also labeled 'blower' but I'm not sure which of them might be the one I'm looking for?
View 4 Replies247,000 miles on '98 Toyota Camry as of last summer, car owed us nothing. Suddenly lost oil a month after regular oil change, ruined engine. Mechanic found used engine from totaled car (w/ approx 65,000 miles). Current problems:
1. speedometer/odometer not working,
2. heater/blower stopped working this week, blower makes a LOUD, HIGH FREQUENCY sound, sort of like a siren.
Was hoping to get another 2 years from her considering recent cash outlay. The mechanic couldn't figure out issue #1, and he hasn't looked at it since #2 started this week. I guess we can live w/ issue #1, but #2 has to be fixed ...
I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5 litre 4wd and am having a crazy problem. It has the automatic heating and air conditioning module (digital). The heater fan comes on as soon as i start the engine and runs in the 2nd highest speed. I can adjust it so it goes one speed higher but never lower than the one it comes on at and cannot shut it off. It operates the same under heat OR A/C modes. The temperatures adjust o.k. but it is always on. Where would i find the a/c control module? Could it be the transistor or resistor and where are they located?
View 2 RepliesI am trying to troubleshoot why my heater blower, cruise control and info center above my rear-view mirror has stopped working. I am trying to confirm power to an orange wire next to the driver-side fuse box. I have confirmed no power at the fuses. I am hoping the problem is the wire box below the fuse box and not the ignition switch. I have a wiring diagram and the power feed to these three fuses is via an Orange wire. There are two Orange wires in the box, I am trying to determine which one feeds the fuses for these three devices. I have a picture of the fuse box.
View 2 RepliesIt worked fine and then just stopped blowing on any speed. The #303 relay was swapped with another and made no difference. The #101 40 amp fuse checks good. The blower fuse under the dash checks good too. The actuator moves the flapper door as it should.I suppose it could be the switch, but that requires some dismantlement of the dash. When a blower relay goes bad, it will usually allow (in fact cause) the blower to go only on high If it doesn't blow at all, can that still be the cause?

View 7 RepliesWhile driving to work this morning my I4 shook hard, the dash dinged twice, the heater blower went off, and the dash lights either went dim or off. Just as the engine about hit its last revolution, it fired itself right back up and off I went.
The car had been driven for at least 45 minutes, it has 3/4 tank of gas, it was 21 degrees outside, and I was at a complete stop with my foot on the break. When it died I immediately put it in park but it restarted itself. I drove the rest of the way to the office and drove an hour home tonight without incident. When the car went down I noticed that the "miles since start" on my dash display went to zero. To me that sounds like an electrical shutdown. I do have a new battery too, it's less than a year old and the terminals are clean.
This car had 147,000 miles on it but only 50,000 miles on a rebuilt engine.
Looking for the diagram on how to remove the heater blower unit from an ES350 2008, i need to clean out the unit since i can hear rattling when the blower is on, sound like foreight objects inside.

2001 LX 2.7L 4WD. Was driving home the other day. Stopped along the way, and when I restarted the car, the ac was blowing hot air. It was working perfectly up to this point. It did not fail with any noise, just quit working.
After some tests, I've realized that the clutch coil is open, and the clutch does not engage. It is getting power when the ac button is pressed. The clutch spindle turns manually, but there is some resistance - it does not spin freely. Also, there is a whining noise now when driving - even without the clutch actuated - I'm thinking its a bad bearing in the compressor.
Repair shops want to do the whole compressor replacement job. What are my chances of getting away with the coil and bearing replacement as stated in this thread Ac In-op ? Or is the clutch resistance and the whining noise a sign that the compressor is dead?
The air conditioning blower motor stopped working this past summer (worst timing ever). I took it out, put it back in, and it worked again for a day before dying for good. So, I ordered a new one and replaced it. The replacement was working fine for about 5 months, but it then began exhibiting the same problem as the original: it wouldn't come on until after I'd been driving for a while. The new unit never made any unusual noises while running (the old one got noisy just before I replaced it), but now it isn't coming on at all. I find it hard to believe that the replacement blower motor has failed after only 5 months. What else should I check?
