I have a 2009 Santa Fe . The AC blower fan will have some days where it just doesn't work. I have taken it to the dealer on 4 occasions without the issue being rectified. It seems that unless it isn't working on the day , they won't even look for an issue.
View 4 RepliesBlower only works on high speed. From what I have read the problem is either the switch or the motor resistor. I am leaning toward the resistor which is behind the glove box. Where can I find directions for removing the Glove box?

View 5 Replies12 Santa Fe, I decided I better give it the once over. I found the cabin air filter was pretty bad and that surprised me because I don't drive in dusty areas etc and usually don't drive much at all any more since I got a company car but anyway....to the question: AFTER I changed the filter, making sure the airflow arrow was correct, I noticed that the blower motor is much noisier than before especially when set on the higher fan speeds. The sound is much like a off balance fan with a bit of a thump to it. Could I have dropped some of the dead bugs into the fan when I changed the filter? I was careful and didn't see anything fall into the fan area but the noise is annoying as heck. Is this something that would be covered under Hyundai's warranty? Headed to the Florida Keys Saturday and not looking forward to hearing that racket all the way down there.
View 3 RepliesOn my first trip with the new Santa Fe. After 400 miles today, while just 50 miles from Vegas, the A/C blower quit working. It sounded like it was blowing as normal but almost no air was coming from the vents. Being just 50 miles out I pushed on.
After arriving home (only 98 today luckily) I turned off the car and unloaded. After about 20 minutes, I started the car and the A/C and blower seemed fine. I looked at the ground and about a pint of water (at least it looked and felt like water I did not taste it) seemed to leak after I started it from the center of the car about even with the front door. What happened? Any cause for alarm?
My 2009 Santa Fe GLS a/c, heater, etc. blower has stopped blowing air. I have checked the fuses, did the push test on the air adjustment button but nothing has worked. Sometimes it's like I can feel a VERY SMALL amount of air blowing out the vents.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 Santa Fe Limited and recently the main AC blower has been cutting on and off for long periods of time. The rear blower has not had any issues and has always worked. The main blower cuts off randomly and stays off until I tap under the glove box and then it normally kicks back on. Recently that has stopped working and I need to figure out what the problem is. Having the AC on or off does not effect this issue.
View 7 RepliesI have had this car for about a year now, no problems other than the check engine light has come on and after a code check found out its the Cat converter *yay*.
Most recently the A/C blower is working rather intermittent, can start off blowing just fine and then the blower seems to decrease while the screen still shows it on high. AC temp is just fine, just the blower is having issues. Sometimes it will turn off all together and not come back on at all for several hours. I am thinking it might be the fan motor, but I don't know enough about these cars to say for certain.
I was driving today and at a traffic light a severe smell of burnt plastic filled the cabin and the A/C blower started to change speed than stayed at full blast and even if I'd turn the knob from side to side or tried to shut everything off with the ""OFF""button nothing would happen........so we drove home and at some point it shut itself off...tried it again and seems ok now.....every dealer closed today and leaving for the USA tomorrow morning.... What the problem could be?
View 5 RepliesThe air conditioning blower motor stopped working this past summer (worst timing ever). I took it out, put it back in, and it worked again for a day before dying for good. So, I ordered a new one and replaced it. The replacement was working fine for about 5 months, but it then began exhibiting the same problem as the original: it wouldn't come on until after I'd been driving for a while. The new unit never made any unusual noises while running (the old one got noisy just before I replaced it), but now it isn't coming on at all. I find it hard to believe that the replacement blower motor has failed after only 5 months. What else should I check?
View 5 RepliesA couple of months ago my Yaris was hit just behind the driver side door by a Ford F150, luckily traveling at a low speed. Other than body damage, my car seemed to be fine. After driving the car around for 2 weeks with the damage then taking it in for its 10 day repair, I brought home my wonderful little car. I live in Florida and even though it's winter, we had a rather warm day, just a couple days after bringing my car back home. I turned on the AC and ...nothing came out. So I tried it on higher settings and ...still nothing came out until I got to the highest blower setting. Suddenly it sounded like someone had turned a blender on inside my car but some air was making its way out of my blowers.
I called the shop that did my repairs and they said "well, you probably just blew a fuse. It's not accident related so we can't take care of it without charging you." My understanding was that I would not be able to get my blower to work at all if a fuse was blown, and my air certainly worked following the accident and prior to getting repairs done. If a fuse was blown, I'm willing to bet a lot of money that the shop was responsible. ...the fact that they also broke my glove compartment, got paint all over my seat, and made my car smell like a paint store also make me weary of using them again, but my insurance company swears by them. First of all, what is wrong with my car? Second of all, how do I fix it?
2007. Blower motor not working. Replaced 2 fuses for blower motor and relay. Blower motor working. Horrible racket and steam coming from under car when I engaged car. I took the fuses back out. Air conditioner stuck on. I had to take the Compressor fuse out also. Car drives fine just have no heat/air.

View 7 RepliesOver the past year we have been noticing that the HVAC blower doesn't turn on from time to time. All settings in the control panel seem normal and the fan speed is turned on. Most of the time everything is working normally, sometimes when the car starts the blower isn't working and then starts after a minute of driving. Sometimes I notice the blower isn't working and I turn up the fan speed and after a few clicks it starts working normally for the remainder of the drive. And then sometimes the blower doesn't ever start and I need to turn off and restart the car a few times. When the blower hasn't been working the a/c compressor has been turning on, something in the blower circuit is failing.
There are five possibilities:
The HVAC controller isn't telling the blower to turn on
The power relay isn't always working
There is a wiring or connection problem
The blower motor itself isn't working
The power mosfet is failing.
What needed to be replaced?
About a month ago my ac stopped pushing any air out, but it only lasted for a day or so...then it has worked fine for the last month.
This morning it stopped again. No obvious signs of anything wrong, what might be causing this? not enough freon? I do get air when I turn it to the button that shows air coming from outside when I am at fast speeds, but not on the recirculation button. (I don't know the technical names of these button modes)
I have the 2012 Santa Fe Limited, bought brand new 0 miles off the lot.
I have a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. At first just the left head light went out, the next night I tried to turn my headlights on and they didn't come on. The high beams work but the low beams doesn't. I've replaced the bulbs from assuming they went bad. That didn't work, so I checked out the fuses, all of them were good. I don't know what else to check.

My lights; running, fog, high, and low beam, all worked yesterday. This morning when I try to go to work, all but the low beam lights work. Nothing was done differently, all fuses and relays appear to be intact, and the bulbs appear to be fine.
My headlights worked on Tuesday. Wednesday night driving home I put my headlights on and neither is working. My brake lights, directional and highbeams work. The only thing that doesn't is the headlights.
I replaced both headlights and still not working. I purchase fuses 15A and switch the fuses which were blown and it resulted in my horn going off. I had someone check with a gauge and there is power in the light socket. We tried to replace the fuse again and the horn went off. We removed the fuse for the horn and replaced the fuses for the headlights and the horn still went off even though the fuse was missing.
The mechanic, checked my fuse box and wires around it and was not able to determine the issue.
The stock stereo doesn't use the full range of speakers unless I use XM or my ipod. I'd love to listen to the radio with the same range of sound. Is there a code fix from the dealer?
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've waited 5+ years to try and fix it.

2007 Santa Fe. Recently my turn signal has not been working. It seems to act finicky and not want to work every time I need it too. I noticed that this happened once every blue moon in the winter time when I purchased the vehicle new back in '07. However it has been occurring more frequently as of the past 3 days.
I have checked the fuse and it is fine. My hazard signals work when my turn signal works if that is any additional indication of what might be going on. What can be done to remedy the situation?
