Does 2008 Santa Fe have horizontal lowbeam aim adjustment? After driving my Dad's Santa Fe, I notice the low beam casts a U-shape light pattern on the ground, makes it extremely hard to see what's on the ground right in front of the car. I've attached a picture of what it looks like driving it at night.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2008 Hyundai Santa fe and have recently had both low beam headlights go out. The running lights and high beams still both work. I read both bulbs as sat 0.5ohm(left) and 0.5ohm(right). Connections were right. I also read fuses in engine compartment HLP LO for both RH and LH. Still I swapped them both with the HHP HI and both worked for high beams but no change for low,on,either side. My next idea is the switch but I am not sure how to test it.
View 5 RepliesMy headlight aim is all out of whack, the driver side light is aiming all the way to the passenger side. I searched the forums and know where the screws are for the vertical and horizontal adjustments. Counter clockwise for making the headlights go up and you're suppose to go the same direction on the horizontal adjustment as well. But my driver side headlight is aiming so far towards the passenger side already,I need to get the horizontal adjustment back to the left, which direction to turn? Clockwise or Counter?

View 12 RepliesMy headlights seem to be off. The beams are spread too far apart, leaving a dark spot right in the middle. It is a 2016 and I just noticed it tonight. I have been trying to find the horizontal adjustment. Is this it? I have tried to turn it but did not notice any difference. Which way am I suppose to turn the left and right one to have the beams move closer to each other?
View 7 RepliesI have a strange problem. My driver side low beam dont work and my right side high beam dont work. Try different relay (switching), check fuse, bulb etc. Also in my dashboard the right green arrow for the flasher always still on(solid).
If I activate (with the control arm) the right turn flasher the flasher light blink in the dash board and my outside flasher bulb flash but my left high beam also blinking in the same time!
Driver's seat is stuck in partial recline mode. It goes down, but won't come back up...

After a failed attempt to find a replacement at 9PM I had no choice but to continue on my way, about an hour later, as I was driving along, it suddenly came back on with no trouble since. I haven't touched any wires or fuses.
View 3 RepliesI have a short somewhere in my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. I got in one night and had no lights. Found a fuse that was blown and thought i solved the problem. The left Low Beam is still out.All other lights work. I used a light tester and I get power on both sides LH Low beam fuse where on the right side low beam and all other fuses I only get power on one side (Light Lights up). The low Beam left relay is same way. I get power in center of relay where I don't get it power in center on right low beam relay. I have switch all bulbs. Even switched entire light assembly with the right side thinking short could be there but the left side low Beam still has no power to bulb and same short in fuse and relay. So somewhere from fuse box under hood to the Multifunction Switch is a short and is it possible for an average DIY to fix this. Is Multifunction Switch easy to replace and would that be the cause or is it inside tightly taped wire bundle or something else I am missing.

View 2 RepliesOn driving it at night I have noticed the main beam is not very bright, dull in fact. Took it to Hyundai and they re seated the bulbs and realigned the lights, although slightly better they still seem dull. My last car had zenons....
View 7 RepliesI suspect that I already know the answer but will ask anyway. In another lifetime I could adjust the headlights on my car (two spring-loaded screws on each bulb for up-down and side-side adjustment).
The low beam on my 2010 Camry seems to run out at about 30 yards. Some night I am going out and actually measure it. High beam has no problem as it goes forever. It just seems that the low beam does not allow me to see very far down the road. I have not asked the dealer yet and thought I would ask here first. Is there a way to adjust the headlights on these new cars with the total headlight system in one big package?
For those lowered, how did you go about getting the beam height back to stock spec?
View 1 RepliesI had a low beam bulb go out a month ago on the driver side. I bought some silvania silverstars to install on both sides. The drivers side went fine but as I installed the passenger side the inside reflector housing came loose, apparently popping off some spring clips inside the headlight housing. The passenger side headlight assembly now pointed towards the ground 10 feet in front of the car... I tried to adjust the screws to bring the light pattern back up. No joy.
Anyway I messed and messed trying to get the reflector housing to fit back on the spring clips. I ended up having to pull the bumper apart and the whole front side of the car to totally remove the headlight assembly. Once I got it out I found these little ball/socket spring clips and was able to put the assembly back together.
Now my issue is I have lost track of the adjustment screws and where the headlights should point. Any formula such as, "park your car 10ft from the garage door on the flat level. The low beam should be 30 inches off the ground on the bottom and the 40 inches at the top. The beam should be 50 inches from the center line of the car" Something like that so that I can get my headlights back to factory settings.
This morning a dash light informed me a headlight bulb was out. It was my DTR light on the passenger side.
I purchased Sylvania H7 high intensity, installed it and it failed to work properly. Daytime light on only drivers side works.
High Beam on , both lights works.
I checked my manual and it said to check fuse in the 5 slot on the driver side dash/door panel and there actually is no fuse in there. I checked the driver side and there was no fuse there either.
I replaced my driver side bulb last year and it took 5 mins....i am already 4 hours into this!
The other day, I had occasion to try to start my '08 Ltd, and there was no starter response to the key. Everything lit up and didn't dim when turning the key. Jiggled the key a few times, no change. Jiggled the shift lever a few times, no change. Turned the key a few more times, and it started. Yes, the vehicle was definitely in Park at the time.
This one has an automatic, so I'm assuming it was either a shift interlock switch (aka Neutral Safety Switch) or possibly the ignition switch itself, but as noted, neither responded to my ham handed approach to solving the problem. First time, it took about half a dozen start attempts. The second time, only three.
Haven't had the problem since then, but then again, I haven't been cycling the ignition as much as I was that day (probably 20 start stop cycles). Now I'm just wondering where and when it will bite me again. Some of the places I take this vehicle to the boonies in the Rocky Mountains would cost me dearly in tow charges.
Encountered this on an earlier CM model? I don't recall ever seeing this mentioned here over the years.
Have 2008 Santa fe with a driveline hum noise. Originally thought is was a wheel bearing so I replaced what I thought was the suspect ones (1 in front and 1 in the back). Noise still there! Carrier bearing on the drive shaft? Front axle shaft? I'm at a lose.
View 7 RepliesJust replaced all 6 plugs after getting p0300-p0306 codes. Still getting all codes, always starting with p0305. Was told coil was bad cause the shop only was getting p0305, but I have all misfire codes. We have over 95k on it, have owned since 2008. Its the 2.7 in it.
