The rear wiper on one of my two 2004 Santa Fe has stopped working. Checked that the fuses are OK.
Then I swapped the wiper motor and then the control unit to the other Santa Fe & both work in it so are OK.
What else could be causing the problem?
I have a 2003 hyundai santa fe 2.7 V6, the problem i am facing is i want to fix my rear wiper as it is not working, I order a new rear wiper motor as my old rear wiper motor was completely rusted, so i got a brand new one with a new wiper now the problem is it still does not work, i checked the fuse as well but it still is not working.
the only last option i can think of is rear wiper control module, how do i check that or does any one has any clue how to fix the rear wiper as mine is not working at all.
The rear wiper on my wife's 20th stopped working the other day. I checked the fuse and it was fine. I pulled off the rear panel and got to the wiring. I don't have a Bentley so I'm not sure what wire does what. I tested the wires and the far left is a switch 12V and the far right is the ground. The center two didn't show any voltage with or without the wiper on. When should these wire see power? What else should I check?

I can only assume they stopped at the same time as the truck doesn't belong to me, I was just asked to see what it would take to fix it. I've looked it over and see no fuse and don't really have a clue where to start looking for the culprit of the problem.
View 2 Replies03 santa fe... During a stereo install the door panels were off and somehow we found a way to screw up the window switch. (the good new's is the stereo sounds awesome) and I can't pass it back onto the installer, he's my brother
all 4 windows stopped working, and of course, they are in the down position which complicates things just a bit
I checked the fuses but they seem ok at least on a visual, although I haven't eliminated that all together the likelihood that its a fuse, or multiple fuses is moving to the bottom of the list.
The window switch, it looks ok on a visual, anything obvious that I can check or look for ? No loose or crimped wires that I can spot.
If the switch itself somehow got fried I can get a replacement, but I'm hesitant to just go out and buy one right now (75ish + ship) and get it in the mail, to get the ball rolling, and god knows what the dealer would want for the part locally. I'll also check local salvage yard to see if at least I can get the part faster if it comes down to that.
Maybe when the new speaker wires were fished through the flex boot we disconnected or loosened the connector under the dash that goes to the switch ?
My 2002 Santa FE's cruise control has stopped working, light comes on but no hold or anything, any obvious faults they have that I can try. I checked the fuse, that's OK...
View 7 RepliesI own a 2004 hyundai santa fe and just recently my turn signals have stopped working. My bulbs are fine because they still light up when I lock my car and my hazards work too. The flashing arrows on my dashboard wont show up for my turn signals but they will show up for hazards. I checked the fuse and its completely fine. I am so confused with what is wrong. The only thing I was doing before was messing with my new head unit which involved unplugging a lot of the stereo and fog lights and hazards but that all should have no affect on my turn signals.
View 6 RepliesThis morning my speedometer started behaving erratically. The needle would swing plus or minus 10 miles per hour. driving home from work eventually it would not respond at all. I also noticed when I attempted to use the cruise after that it was not working either. I'm thinking these issues are connected. Do i need to replace the speed sensor that is on top of the transmission?
View 2 RepliesNever had any issues with it before and was working fine on a trip a couple of weeks ago. On the way home I had it on, we stopped to get some food, and then when we started up again cruise control wouldn't turn on at all. I tried turning on and then setting, but nothing happened so I don't think it's the light. Checked the fuse and it looks fine (no noticeable distortion or break to the wire anyway) and brake lights all work.
View 8 RepliesLow beams don't work. The fuses are fine (under the dash, and in the engine compartment) and the bulbs look good. The fact that both went out at the same time has me wondering. One post on this forum for something not related mentioned a headlight relay behind the fuse panel?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2004 Santa Fe GLS that the cruise control just stopped working. It will not turn on when I press the ON button. Could it be a blown fuse? I recently had a new AC compressor installed. Could it be related to that? Maybe something didn't get plugged back in?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2004 Santa Fe, recently all the door locks stopped working at once. When I use the Key Fob The Blinkers flash like they are supposed to but it does not lock/unlock the doors. The panic button also works. When I use the key in the door it only unlocks that door, meaning when I double turn the other doors do not lock/unlock. Now that this happened all at once I do not believe all the actuators broke at once. Is there a fuse or a relay that might of broke or blown?
View 8 RepliesSame car I posted about a couple of days ago. It was running fine. My son was driving on the freeway, and tapped the brakes to disengage the cruise control, and the transmission just stopped working. It was not in gear after doing this and the transmission would not engage. It was nothing like a slipping transmission. The engine just revs with no resistance.
Got it towed home and checked the codes: P1529, generic 'Check Engine' light from the TCU; P0760 Transmission solenoid C and P0765 Transmission solenoid D. I have googled these codes individually, but not sure how they tie together.
Oh, I overfilled the transmission. Probably a quart too much because I didn't know how much extra I needed for the torque converter. I doubt this is the issue, but I will drain the excess. Where to check next?
Our rain sensing wiper has been working flawlessly since new. However, it decided to stop working two days ago. It just goes constant speed now.

I stopped to get gas and turned off the wipers( it was raining), got gas and went to turn on the wipers, they are not working. I don't even hear the motor run. When I was trying to research online, one of the solutions I came across was spraying WD-40 on the motor to dry up the water and try to fix the problem.here are my questions. 1. does this work? 2. do I need a new motor? 3. If I decide to spray WD-40, do I need to take the wiper arms and the plastic guard on the front to access the motor or can I spray through the grill on the plastic cover?

View 2 RepliesThe rear door hatch on my 2002 Sante fe is not working. The Latch freezes in position to the handle and does not release or rebound back to the normal position, the door remains locked. I have taken the inner door cover apart,lubricated working controls and checked for any broken items.

I noticed the other day while out on the property that the rear wheels were not pulling and after a little investigation found that my AWD has now become a FWD. I checked the transmission fluid (not sure if the trans fluid even goes to the transfer case or not) and it was about a quart low but clean and not burnt. Topped the fluids off and still only have the front wheels pulling.
I was going to pull the rear diff plug and see what it looked like in there but I have a feeling it's probably froze in there and the bolt may break taking it off. I may have to wait till I can dedicate a weekend to working on it before I start tearing anything apart. The drive train is flawless and has been minimal effort since we purchased the vehicle new and all the sudden without warning this is happening.
My 2001 Santa Fe has developed a failure in the rear seat back folding ratchet. I recently had my rear seats folded flat and when I came to restore them to normal use I found that the seat back ratchet would not engage.
I have taken the left hand (60%) seat out of the car and can clearly see that the cogs do not come together - well they almost do, but not enough to hold the back in position. How this can be adjusted?
2007 Santa Fe just broke the rear wiper arm while trying to replace the blade. Went to rockauto.com to get replacement arm but they don't list one for the Santa Fe but do for the Tucson. My question is will the Tucson arm work on the Santa Fe?
View 1 RepliesI just noticed today that the piece that connects the rear wiper to the window is rusting. It is only 1.5 years old, so seems odd to be rusting already. I'll be taking it in for an oil change soon, so will get it looked at and see what they say.
