My low beam have shut down. I have checked the fuse for right and left, and as I can see, it's the same fuse as for the high beam ...
Is there any known problems regarding this faults ? Of course, the bulbs are ok ...
I have a low beam that just isn't working at all on the right side. I changed the bulb 3 times now, confirmed I had the right dual beam bulb (Sylvania 9003) and still the same result. The low beam doesn't work on the right side, but the high beam works.

Low beams don't work. The fuses are fine (under the dash, and in the engine compartment) and the bulbs look good. The fact that both went out at the same time has me wondering. One post on this forum for something not related mentioned a headlight relay behind the fuse panel?

When the lever is in low beam mode I have no headlights or fog lights. (parking lights fine.)
When the lever is forward in high beam mode I have no headlights or fog lights. (parking lights fine.)
But if I hold the lever back in "fash the high beam" mode the high beams turn on. This got me home last night, but I don't know where to start looking for the issue?
Faulty relay? Faulty switch? Something else?

My 2003 Hyundai sante fe would not shut off. I had to disconnect the battery in order to kill the engine. The one thing I did notice was the ignition assembly didn't seem to have anymore kickback to it when engaging the starter. It just turns freely. weird, I hooked the battery back up and noticed that all my dashboard lights came back on with the key in my hand. I new something in the switch must be broken. I ordered both a new key and tumbler and also the ignition starter switch. When going to install it I notice that the cam looking part is the culprit.

It shuts down at any speed . seems to cut out mostly when cornering and applying the brakes. Check engine lite stays on . code p401 cnf
My car has the same issue, its a 2001 santa 2.4 . Its starts and then shut off after 3 seconds. camshaft was replaced twice already. still same issue, die after 3 seconds. everything seems to be fine.
What about fuel pressure at the rails? If the pump runs for a moment when the key is turned to the on position then when cranking it stops. That would let the engine start and run for about three seconds. Could it be the ignition switch?
Was in town stopped at a traffic light when my 2003 Santa Fe just shut off. No warning, started right back up again, no CEL, no DTCs. Scary. I'm happy it happened with me driving the car instead of my daughter driving. Also happy it didn't happen on the highway.
I've had hard starting issues for a while now. Replaced crank sensor, it's fine for a few starts, then goes back to hard starting, but I hadn't had a problem in a few weeks.
I've been having a "turn off" problem with my 03 santa fe. After driving it doesn't want to shut off. The switch will be in the off position and it just keeps running. When I put it in Reverse or drive and then turn the switch off it stops. But which should I look at first? The ignition cylinder/key replacement or maybe something in the ignition switch/electrical? The cylinder assembly is over a hundred $$ and the switch is only $25.

This morning took a look .. Connected ground cable too battery. Expecting low beam lights too go on. Did not .
Turning lights on & off. Head lights work fine. yellow and rear stay lit ..
Disconnected battery, OFF .. Reconnected battery cable yellow light stays off until I turn on head lights, and will not shut off from switch .. Thinking light switch ?
Could a burned out fuse in another fuse cavity cause this effect? How can I test ??
Where the adjustment knobs are for the low beam specifically? 07 Santa Fe 3.3L.

View 42 RepliesI have a 2008 Hyundai Santa fe and have recently had both low beam headlights go out. The running lights and high beams still both work. I read both bulbs as sat 0.5ohm(left) and 0.5ohm(right). Connections were right. I also read fuses in engine compartment HLP LO for both RH and LH. Still I swapped them both with the HHP HI and both worked for high beams but no change for low,on,either side. My next idea is the switch but I am not sure how to test it.

After driving my Dad's Santa Fe, I notice the low beam casts a U-shape light pattern on the ground, makes it extremely hard to see what's on the ground right in front of the car. After a failed attempt to find a replacement at 9PM I had no choice but to continue on my way, about an hour later, as I was driving along, it suddenly came back on with no trouble since. View 3 RepliesI have a short somewhere in my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. I got in one night and had no lights. Found a fuse that was blown and thought i solved the problem. The left Low Beam is still out.All other lights work. I used a light tester and I get power on both sides LH Low beam fuse where on the right side low beam and all other fuses I only get power on one side (Light Lights up). The low Beam left relay is same way. I get power in center of relay where I don't get it power in center on right low beam relay. I have switch all bulbs. Even switched entire light assembly with the right side thinking short could be there but the left side low Beam still has no power to bulb and same short in fuse and relay. So somewhere from fuse box under hood to the Multifunction Switch is a short and is it possible for an average DIY to fix this. Is Multifunction Switch easy to replace and would that be the cause or is it inside tightly taped wire bundle or something else I am missing.

View 2 RepliesOn driving it at night I have noticed the main beam is not very bright, dull in fact. Took it to Hyundai and they re seated the bulbs and realigned the lights, although slightly better they still seem dull. My last car had zenons....

The high beam works, the turn signal, and fog lamps work, just not the low beam. the passenger side is fine. I checked the fuses and they are not burned out.
View 1 RepliesMy car is fully stock, with all options available to me (cold weather package not available here). The low-beam triple-LED headlights are aimed way too low compared to all my previous cars, and where they should be. BUT high-beam is aimed properly. So if I adjust the low-beams up, my high-beams might end up lighting up the trees, not the road.
If adjust the headlights up on a fully stock car (not lowered at the front)? Are the high beams still lighting up the road fine? And if you can be specific as the number of turns on the screwdriver, it'd be good too to have an initial adjustment reference.
This morning a dash light informed me a headlight bulb was out. It was my DTR light on the passenger side.
I purchased Sylvania H7 high intensity, installed it and it failed to work properly. Daytime light on only drivers side works.
High Beam on , both lights works.
I checked my manual and it said to check fuse in the 5 slot on the driver side dash/door panel and there actually is no fuse in there. I checked the driver side and there was no fuse there either.
I replaced my driver side bulb last year and it took 5 mins....i am already 4 hours into this!
