Santa fe 2004 - When locking the car with RC, lights did not flash. Cause was hazard light fuse. To verify this, activate the hazard lights, if they do not work at all, check the hazard light fuse. When I replaced the fuse all issues were resolved.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2002 (First Generation) and can not lock the doors with the remote. It will unlock with the remote (lights flash) but will not lock. I have checked ALL the doors and they are closed, not ajar. Assoc. battery is at 12.77 volts. I have tried another remote, same one that came with the car and that one will not unlock it either. Remote batteries are OK. When I try to unlock the car with the Remote, the lights don't flash and it tries to lock but then it unlocks--just like a door ajar????
View 4 RepliesI have 4 differnt FOBs and i get the same response from all of them. they will unlock the doors and the lights flash on the car and remote but when i try and lock with remote, the light on the remote flashes but i get nothing from the car.
View 6 RepliesThere's no beep or flashing parking lights when I lock my doors on my 2011 Prius 2 when using the remote or the door handle sensor. I still get the 2 beeps/light flashes when I unlock. The lock beep was working fine and then just stopped. The doors still lock fine with the remote or handle sensor, just no beep/flash.

View 5 RepliesI own a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx LT and up until recently the remote start worked great. However starting last week when I go to use it all I get is a quick flash of the brake lights and it wont start. The only thing that happened last week was I had the hood up to check the oil.
View 4 RepliesI'm a new owner of a Santa Fe 07. My car will not completely lock with the remote. I have to remember to manually check it if the alarm doesn't beep. All the other doors will lock except this one door behind the driver. My model is AWD, it the 7 passenger one . It's not the base model. I didn't have the hard copy of the manual but I have a digital copy. We just got this on 4/24/15. It has 90 warranty but don't think they will fix this issue that I thought was only the childproof lock mechanism somehow or was not a big deal but now I'm not so sure.

View 6 RepliesI have a Hyundai Sonata 2011 all was fine until a couple days ago when I lock the doors using the remote I hear it click then in 20 minutes later the lights are blinking on and off. I use the remote to lock the doors again and the same thing happens. I replaced the battery in the remote , I also had the battery in the car checked. What could be triggering the lights to keep blinking ?

When I turn off the A/C my Temperature Control unit clicks rapidly with the A/C indicator lights turning on and off. It's almost like something was turning it rapidly between on and off. Maybe a short in the controls somewhere. I may try and take it apart and see if I can find an intermittent connection in the switch or a short or loose connection or bad wiring somewhere in the unit.
The other option is just to replace the whole A/C Heater Temp Ctrl. unit.
When lock button on the remote is pressed twice and held for 3rd time , lights flash but car won't start. I just put fresh battery in remote Haven't used remote start since last winter..
View 1 RepliesI have a 2011 Santa Fe 3.5L automatic with AWD. I have had a issue with the traction control indicator locking up. The traction control light on the dash goes on and cannot be canceled by the on/off control. It will reset when the engine is turned off and restarted. It is my understanding that the indicator should be lit when the system is actively meeting a traction control issue.
The dealer has performed service on the vehicle twice for this issue, and on a recent trip the system triggered again. It has engaged and locked on dry surfaces during a moderate turn while accelerating (merging from exit ramp). I have seen it engage under slippery conditions (snow... we live in Wisconsin) while turning and then return to normal once the conditions are stable.
My concern is that since the traction control affects braking in order to achieve stability under unusual conditions, that the possibility exists for a malfunction under braking conditions that might cause more problems than it solves.
All the service lights will blink and flash whilst driving. After turning the car off and restarting the radio and clock all reset and the dash lights are gone. The car starts right up with no problem. I checked fuses and none are blown. What may be causing this? It is a 2009 Santa Fe 2.7. It has approx. 95,000 miles. The battery is a couple of years old.
View 7 RepliesMy 2005 Elentra GLS, when I use the key remote control and hit the alarm activation button, the alarm goes off and lights flash. And I haven't even opened a door on the vehicle. I am not using the alarm function because of this issue. Is this something I can troubleshoot. Just purchased the car used from a used car dealer.
View 3 RepliesJust got the girlfriend a 2002 Santa Fe and the front passenger door locking is a bit random! Sometimes it unlocks and unlocks ok from the key in the drivers door or the lock/unlock buttons, other times it half locks / unlocks (the lock button on the door panel half moves!) and other times it just ignores me all together! The cabling and cable boot from the body to the door seems in good condition (my audi A4 had that problem and you really dont wanna know about the wiring nightmare i had to fix that!!! bloody Germans!!). My feeling is that its a worn actuator.
View 2 RepliesMy brother's 2005 Santa Fe keeps locking up in 3rd gear. I've read around here that the P0715 error code that I have is for an input sensor, but I replaced that and it still doesn't work. I also tried the vehicle speed sensor as well and it didn't work.
I was with someone at AutoZone who pulled up a page here that said no I really needed to replace the transmission control module but I can't find that thread here.
Front and back brakes heating up and locking on intermittently brake pedal feels normal this has happened 3 times over the last 500 km of driving pedal not sticking down break fluid ok no swelled lines today noticed front left and rear right rotors were hotter than front right and rear left once vehicle sits they release and all is good no abs lights or any other warning lights on.

View 1 RepliesI have a sante fe which has problems (suspect multiple) with central locking , intermittently locking itself - very annoying - even driving down the road.
Drivers door controls for central locking unlock button does not unlock the doors - button just doesn't do anything. Lock button works fine. In addition window controls on drivers door dont work - only control that works is the one for the drivers door.
Final piece of the puzzle - the red light in the drivers door does not work either nor does the drivers door button panels light up. Starting to wonder is there a fuse or quirky power supply problem somewhere.
When I use the remote to lock/unlock the doors the drivers side door won't activate . . . .unless it's really cold outside. The other 3 doors work year round.
Sounds weird but as the weather gets colder the lock on the drivers door will start to work. As winter turns to summer here in Illinois it starts to act up again. When it does work, it seems that unlocking works more consistently than locking.
Asked the dealer to have a look at it. They said it was a "weak actuator motor" and suggested to replace it. Sounds bogus to me.
I've tried to have a look down there but I'm afraid to take it all apart for fear I won't be able to get it all back together. Are there adjustments that can be made to the linkage or are lubrication points that might get this thing back working again . . . . . . all year long?
I also noticed that manually working the passenger side lock will lock the rear doors but won't lock the drivers door so it's not the remote. I never paid attention to whether manually working the driver side lock would lock the other doors but I think not since the buttons are right there on the drivers door.
