Santa FE SM (2001-06) :: 2005 - ABS Lights Turned On

Just bought a Santa Fe CRTD CDX on UK plates 2005 year model. After successful test drive took the vehicle home. After 20-30 minutes driving the ABS light came on. Restarted the vehicle and had no problem for next hour.
Next day same procedure so went to Hyundai dealer. After plugging in his laptop he said the sensor near the hand brake was the problem. This was replaced and had no problem all day.
Next day after 30 mins driving on came the light again. Took the vehicle back to the garage where I bought it and its been there for 4 days. They say the light has not come on, but I would question whether they would drive around for 30-60 minutes.

The ABS and TCS lights on my 05 SF 2.7L come on together intermittently. This started few days ago. So far I have not experienced any symptoms or problems. When the lights come on, they remain on until the ignition is switched off. Then it may not come on during the next trip.
I researched this online and from what I have read and understood, this appears to be caused by a problem with the speed sensor at the wheels, likely a damaged tone ring. I called a Hyundai dealer and after much discussion they said they 'might' cover this under power train warranty, but only if the lights coming on are due to damaged tone ring.
My question, is there a way I can inspect the tone rings? If yes, how? Also, what kind of code scanner do I need to get the ABS TCS diagnostic trouble codes?

A couple of weeks ago I had to have the cam sensor, and the crank sensor on my 2005, 2.7 v6, Santa Fe changed. Since the change on long drives the ABS, and the TCS light will come on simultaneously, and it almost feels like the ABS is being activated without any real reason too.

So I lent my santa fe to a buddy to do some hauling, I got it back yesterday and the turn signals and the brake lights don't work...notta. Regular running lights are working without issue, but no turn signals, no hazards, no brakes. Even the "tick, tick, tick" of the turn signal is gone, it's just dead.

My 2004 Santa Fe has something failing, but I need to know which direction to go. When the defroster or air conditioner is turned on the idol fades momentarily and my headlights dim. This does not happen when the heater, alone, is on.
This is my 2nd Santa Fe; I have my 2003 in my barn. The transmission gave out at 204K miles and this one was in my neighborhood so I just swapped. So, I have lots of parts.

Today while driving my parents Passat 05 with 52k miles on it i got a slight problem. STOP light turned on and then oil light turned on as well. I stopped, turned off the car turned it back on and only engine light was on. I am guessing it is time for oil change but why did CEL come on. I own 04golf 1.8T....

Resurrecting this 2001 2.7l, I noticed the horrible gas mileage.
I'm thinking o2 sensor, but it doesn't throw a code... Anywhere else I should look? I've changed Crank Position Sensor, Fuel Pressure Regulator, plugs, and brakes.
One note, when the a/c is turned on, I can smell a burning kinda smell. Maybe the clutch on the compressor is going out, causing some parasitic type of power loss? idk. Car seems pretty peppy now that it has a new CPS.

It is OK with the lights off and you can see the display, just with no back light when the lights are turned on. The light in the glove box is off too, but I can't find a blown fuse.

I have a 2002 Santa fe that will not stop running. When the key is turned off the engine keeps running like normal. I changed the ignition switch yesterday. still have same problem.

Ok, so I'm working on a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, 93,000 miles. The vehicle runs great! So great that you cant get it to stop running!! The problem is intermittent and generally happens after the vehicle has been running for at least 3 minutes. I turn the key off and she keeps on running (not dieseling, but running at 340-450 rpms!) I have already removed the aftermarket remote start that was installed on the vehicle thinking that was the problem, it was not. Then I went to the ignition switch and unplugged that, also to no avail! I plugged my scan tool in and can communicate with the computer and view pids while the key is on. When I turn the key off, I should loose communication. When everything acting normal and the car actually shuts off with the key, I loose communication with the computer upon turning the key off. When I turn the key off and the veh. keeps running, I do NOT loose communication with the pcm. The only way to shut the car off is to step on the gas pedal. Otherwise it'll run at 400 or so RPM for an hour or so!!

I have a 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe 2.4L that keeps blowing the ECU fuse under the hood when the ignition is turned on. We have replace the fuel pump and the inertia switch. I have tested the relay, ignition failure sensor, both coils and O2 sensor wiring.

I recently installed a new car stereo in my 05 CRV to replace the factory unit which had a broken CD player. Everything appeared to go fine, but I noticed at night that when the Head Light switch was turned on, only the top half of the dash lights would turn on, the lights for the AC/Heater failed to light, and the PRNDD1D2 lights which work fine in the day (sans the drive light not working, but that's been the case for a year now) would turn off. I've checked the fuses and found no blown ones, although the fact that the top half of the dash lights still turn on made a blown fuse seem less likely.
The lights that are left on will still dim/brighten when the dimmer knob is turned, and I noticed that if I pull the small lights fuse the dash lights don't work, but the PRNDD1D2 lights remain lit even with the headlights on. I've tried removing and re installing the factory stereo to see if there was a short in the new wiring harness, but that changed nothing. As is the car is still drivable, as the top half of the dash lights is enough to make all the gauges readable, but it's still a bit annoying. Any clues as to what I've done, and is there a reasonably cheap fix to the problem?

I have a 2001 BMW 330i. The car has been a dream since the beggining but lately issues have risen to the surface. Today, when I turned off the ignition all the dashboard lights remained on. The keys in hand, lights off, nothing else on, but the dashboard was lit up light a christmas party. I recently recharged my battery, a problem, I think, caused by the cold temperatures. I have an 04 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L V6 AWD with climate control. All other trucks this year I've only seen with manual HVAC controls. My blower motor is constantly running anytime the key is turned on. It feels like it is blowing 3/4 strong all the time and I can turn it up, what feels like one setting higher. Even if the climate control is turned off it keeps blowing. I can control the temp and AC and defroster, I just cannot control the actual airflow pressure from the vents. On an older car this seems like a resistor issue. Is this a common issue? If so, what can I do to try to rectify this?

Have a 2001 Prizm with 120k miles on it. Just had the recommended 120k service done a month or two ago (local shop that has been reliable to me) and they commented on how mechanically solid my car was.
Thursday drove to work like normal. When it was time to leave, car wouldn't start. No dash lights, nothing at all when I turned the key. Got a ride, came back later that night and jumped it and it started right up (didn't wait at all, but I also didn't check it before hooking up the cables - it might have started without a jump). Radio had reset and so forth, but it was running.
Drove Friday, it was fine. Car sat all weekend. Monday morning, dead as could be again. No dash lights when I put the key in, nothing when I turned it. Maybe a single click, but nothing more (can't remember for sure).
Drove wife's car to work. Came home Monday afternoon and the car started right up with no problem. Was curious if the battery voltage was low or anything, so I turned the car off, hooked up my bluetooth OBD reader (generic ELM 327 off ebay), and tried to start. Car was dead. Unplugged the reader, still nothing.
Took the battery out and ran to the store, assuming a bad or weak battery. They tested and said it's completely fine. Went back home, hooked it back up, car started right up. So now I'm suspecting something's up with the ELM327... I just got it last week, a few days before this all started. Had it hooked up all week long and didn't unplug it till the first time the car wouldn't start. Didn't plug it back in till Monday afternoon's issues.
Could a flaky OBD reader cause these kinds of issues? Anything else I should be checking, or do you think I'm ok as long as I toss out that reader? When I was using the reader last week, it seemed to be reading everything fine and sending the data over to my phone. When the car was dead each time, it acted like the battery was completely disconnected - radio reset, NO lights, etc. Could something with the OBD reader mess up the computer and make it act like that, and then a little time lets the computer reset or something?

My sons 2005 Santa Fe alarm goes off whenever it feels like it. Is there a solution to fix it or can the siren be disconnected without pulling the fuse? Could it be a hood switch problem?

I know to some this seems like a little thing, but over time is it is really driving me nutz. Especially in the winter when I get home in the dark and I need to retrieve things from the trunk and I can't see a thing.
I also drive my daughter's friends around back and forth to practice and I can't even tell you how many things get left in my car.
Any easy way to install something aftermarket that doesn't take a degree in electronics?

I have a 2005 Santa Fe which I brought brand new in 2005. After 48,000 the transmission was shot, the fluid was black it was a mess. I had the tranny serviced at about 30,000 miles and thought everything was ok. My dealer replaced the tranny under warranty and said it failed, thats it. Ok.....64,000 miles later the second transmission just failed. Keep in mind the dealer serviced the transmission twice and now this one is shot. Being out of warranty, Hyundai wants me to pay for a new one, I opted to get it rebuilt at a local shop. My question is other that why aren't these transmissions lasting, am I alone or this quite common.

I recently purchased a 2005 SantaFe LX with a 3.5L engine (4x4). The gas tank had been replaced prior to me buying it. The problem I have is when I am filling the gas tank, the gas pump never shuts off until the gas overflows out of the top of the filler neck. If I stop with approximately a couple of gallons left to go and wait a couple of seconds and then finish filling, the gas pump will usually click off before the overflow happens. The filler neck and vent hose don't appear to be pinched. This happens at multiple gas stations and weather doesn't effect it happening. The only issues I could find on line was the stopping and starting when trying to fill up and mine doesn't do that at all, it will just go until overflows like I described.
