Rodeo :: 4x4 Light Flashing On Dash - Noise Coming From Under The Car

Just had the 1st chance to put car in 4x4 and noticed that the 4x4 light on the dash just flashes. I do hear a noise from under the car like it is engaging something but the light flashes.What could this be? The lever will go into 4 wheel low and appears to be OK.
When I activate the button on the dash I can hear something happening under the truck,and I am able to put the truck in 4wheel low. But I am still not getting the front to engage.

I have Holden Rodeo, am assuming these are very similar cars if not the same. Our 2004 Rodeo is having intermittent trouble starting, sometimes when the key is turned it is dead, no clicking noise, all lights on dash are on and engine light flashing. it goes from being dead to a short turning of engine, eventually it will turn over but may have trouble firing. the next time it will start perfectly.

What a constant blinking 4x4 dash lcon light means? This happens when I hit the 4x4 button, usually the light goes on solid but now it just blinks until I unselect the 4x4 option. It is going into 4 wheel drive because I can feel the heavy steering so I believe the selection mech. is working. I have tried the owners manuals fix for this issue with no change. All tires are the same size and in good shape.

I have a 1995 Rodeo with a clicking noise, probably coming from the ABS pump by the battery under the hood.
If I pull the ABS fuse, will this solve the problem? I realize I wouldn't have ABS then, but that is acceptable.

I just had my oil changed today and while driving home the red airbag light came on in the instrument cluster and the passenger airbag light on the dash started flashing. When I connected the passenger seatbelt the flashing light went off. While in the dealer also tightened some screws in the center console. I have an under the seat subwoofer that is VERY snug...could that have damaged something when the seat was slid back?

I have a red flashing light on my dash, the symbol looks just like the one on the temp gauge but I don't know what it means. The other thing is I would like to modify the whole interior where can I get the parts I'm talking headliner,dash ,door trim , floor trim, lower dash, grab handles I mean everything.

I have a 1994 Rodeo that they can't seem to diagnose what is wrong with it. I love my Rodeo but lately when I start it (and it starts very quickly every day), the gas, battery and brake lights light up and remain on during the 5 mile drive to work. It is an automatic V6. I cannot use the power windows, wipers or the heat/air while these lights are on. Okay, I can use the windows and wipers but they move so slowly.
I have tried to sit and let it warm up thinking they would go out but nothing happens - the lights stay on.
The return trip home from work, the lights usually turn off as I turn into my driveway. I have had the charging system checked and the battery and everything says it is fine and charging just right.
Another odd thing is once in a while when I am on a long drive - Interstate or country roads with no stops - the check engine light pops on. Once I remove my foot from the gas or I stop and let it idle, the light goes out only to come back on when I depress the gas pedal.

I now have the 'AFS off' flashing on my dash lights...just started yesterday out of the blue (without the headlights being on). I have what I think is a failing HID bulb on the driver's side - went out a couple of weeks ago and again this morning. Reset the lights and it comes back on.
Don't know that there is a connection. I'll be looking at the manual ECU reset on the AFS light and at the sensor when I get a chance.
Also, I am pretty sure I have a wheel bearing failing on the driver's side, but I can't decide if its the front or rear. How to make it definite - front or rear?

My wife just called me driving our 2000 Passat Wagon. What she said... "I was driving along and heard a beep from the dash. I looked down and the instrument cluster said "STOP" in really big letters, and the ABS light was flashing." Also - the MPG reader has been going a little crazy lately. What would cause this? I have a major problem with my 04 V8 Touareg! I can't shift out of park. I spoke to the dealer and they told me that the battery could be the problem since I had to get it jumped. I changed the battery, and I still can't get it out of park. The brake light on the dash is flashing and the ABS light is on. The vehicle is parked in garage and the only way to get it out and on to a tow truck is to drag it.

I have a `95 explorer with the 4.0 motor. The electronic overdrive off indicator light (O/D Off) on dash started flashing today. The transmission seems to be shifting into overdrive. Owner's manual says to have it checked as damage can be caused. What I should be checking?

Recently, we took a trip pulling our 5th wheel, even after suspecting another stuck unison ring, sticking turbo issue. When Climbing a gradual grade, we had the "wrench" light come on the dash. The truck seemed to go into the "limp" mode. I pulled over, let the turbo cool down for a minute, and then shut off the engine.
I let it sit for a minute, knowing we were on the freeway shoulder, restarted it without clearing any codes, and it started up without the wrench lit. No limp mode and continued home. I did this twice throughout the trip. I then tried to pull and OBD codes and found none such as a P0299. Seems like there should have been a code saved to evaluate the issue.

1997 3.2 2WD 299,000 miles original alternator
3 times in the last month when I start up first thing in the morning dash warning lights are lit up and the electrical system is not charging. AC doesn't work and windows operate very slowly. A simple rev of the engine has resolved the problem. However, the belt is very tight (and I mean very) and there is no indication of it slipping.
This morning, a rev didn't solve the problem. I only work a few miles from home and my mechanic is also very close so I just figured to head that direction. About 1/4 mile later charging kicked in and everything worked just fine.
I hate Intermittent electrical problems Where to start.

April 2009, I bought a 2009 Toyota Venza which I totally love. About 2 weeks into ownership the battery went dead. I had it jump startd and all was well. In the time since I bought it, the battery has gone dead 5 times. Numerous trips to dealer and can't find anything. The final straw was when I was having car washed and the battery went dead. I had to call tow truck to drag me out of car wash an take car to dealer. This time they saidit was a bad battery. Now my dashlights are flashing dim to real bright and my TRAC light comes on so I can't put car into gear.

I am hearing a water flow sound under the right side of the dash when I turn corners or stop. It started when the radiator cracked. I have replaced the radiator and water pump. I have filled the radiator with the front of the SUV up and the engine running. Also tried jacking the rear of the SUV up. I have flushed the heater core. And re connected the hoses bleed air at the top of the hoses from the heater core, the return from the water pump to the radiator, and at the radiator to the water pump. Yesterday I pulled the dash out and found the heater core to be more center of the dash behind the climate control. The sound seems to be coming from more right behind the glove box. Any suggestions before I reassemble the dash. I have removed and cleaned the lower half of the ac coil/condenser box. There was no fluid in it and the drain line was not plugged.

2004 F-250 6.0 Turbo Diesel W/ Torque Shift Transmission. Im having a problem with my Check Gauge light coming on and Tow Haul light flashing on my 04 F-250. I got a Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor from my local Ford Dealership. They also said i needed to replace the Transmission harness for this application because of an open circuit.
My questions are, Is Mercon SP the only ATF that can be used on the Torque shift transmission and do i really need to replace the harness or just the sensor? I have read up a little on this and so far everything say's drain the fluid, drop the trans pan, swap out the sensor, replace the trans pan (torque setting is 11flbs I believe, correct me if I am wrong, replace with Mercon SP ATF and your good to go.

I have a bizarre issue, once the car is running about 20 minutes, the seat belt icon on dash and passenger seat belt light (unoccupied) start flashing. Then the flashing become more like a flickering with a noise. At this time all power windows become sticky and operate under the same bop if you will as the seatbelt light. The doors the will not lock and the alarm will not work. Today it took me about 6 minutes just to close one window and i had to lock the car manually. After a few hours with the car being off, everything works fine again, then another 20 minutes of driving the issue reappears.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving my 2008 Toyota Yaris and the check engine light came on. Soon after the check engine light came on every dash light started flashing. The Car down shift into second while I was going 55 miles an hour! We took the car into a service center where they said it was the speed sensor which they replaced. We got the car home. I drove it to work the next day and while going to lunch the check engine light came back on! The car seems to be shifting fine though! They mentioned that if the speed sensor didn't fix it, it could be the "cluster"! What the heck is that?
