Ram / SRT10 :: Heater Quit Blowing Hot Air

Dec 3, 2014

I have an 03 Ram 1500 that quit blowing hot air. I have heard of doors not opening to divert the air to the heater core. Heater hoses are both hot, so I'm pretty sure the water is going where it's supposed to, just not the air.

Heating :: 2008 Chrysler Heater Quit Supplying Hot Air

I have a 2008 Chrysler Sebring Touring (Convertible). Recently, out of the blue, the heater quit supplying hot air. I took it to my local mechanic who

1) replaced the thermostat and

2) replaced the blend air door motor.

After 4 days I was told it was fixed. Now it blows only "warmish" air on the driver's side and cold air on the passenger's side.

Ford A/C :: 1973 - Heater Quit Working / No Blower Function

I had to replace the vacuum control for the heater in the dash panel. The fan worked good on all 4 speed settings but only in the defrost position due to the damaged control valve. The control valve works all position for the heater positions now. There is power at both sides of the heater fuse under the dash but no blower function. Is there a fuseable link elsewhere in the system to check. Is the fan motor only accessible to test by accessing the heater/AC under the dash on the passenger side. 1973 Crew Cab....

Ford A/C :: 2002 F350 - Quit Blowing Once Get Up To 65 MPH Or So

My 2002 is acting really strange. The a/c quits blowing once you get up to 65 mph or so. It looks to me to be a damper problem, because the temperature stays pretty cool, it just doesn't blow as hard (like, almost not at all). You can hear the fan rip roaring away and it sounds like it is dead heading in the lower part of the passenger side in the climate control system.

I checked all the dampers and they seem to have full range of motion, it is not the main damper that goes between hot and cold, that one works at any speed, the other two seem to be working also, but for some reason whenever i get up to high speeds, the air just poops out. If you slow back down, rotate your climate control from ac to vents and back again, it starts working fine. Speed up again, and it poops back out. Is my vacuum pump out?

Santa FE SM (2001-06) :: 2003 - Heater Just Quit Working While Driving On Highway

Today, while driving on the highway, my heater just quit working. My car is equipped with the automatic climate controls and so I switched it to manual mode to see if the heat would come back. The heat does not seem to be mixing at all with the air.

One weird thing is that if I set the temperature to 90 degrees then the A/C mode will turn off and blow pure hot air. However, if I go to 89 degrees then the heat will stop and the A/C will turn on again. Turning off the A/C manually does not bring the heat back.

What could be wrong? I might just try unplugging and reconnecting the controls since I was messing with the radio a couple of days ago.

Ford - Explorer :: 1999 - Heater Blower Motor Quit Working

99 Explorer Blower motor quit working. Disconnected and hot wired to a battery and blower motor worked. So I know it is in the switch and/or wiring. I need this truck everyday so going into the shop is out. Live in Northern Mn and the temp was -15 degrees. So as a temp fix what does everybody think of running a wire from the battery to a switch inside and then to the blower motor and then to a ground. Would have a inline fuse. If this will work what gauge wire and what amp fuse would you use. Its getting cold without heat.

Santa FE SM (2001-06) :: 2003 - A/C Quit Blowing Cold

I currently own a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe with 135,000K miles on it, and have had continual problems with the A/C not blowing cold over the last year or so.

A year ago, took it to what I thought was a reputable mechanic (not a dealer) who diagnosed the problem as a "bad" master circuit board. Thing ran fine for about 6 months, then started to intermittently blow warm air, until it finally quit blowing cold.

Finally broke down and took it to the dealer hoping they would be able to fix the problem. They charged me $110 and told me the refrigerant was low so they topped it off. 6 weeks later, once again not blowing cold, took it back. They said this time they found a "leak" in the refrigerant hose, replaced the hose, topped off the refrigerant, and sent me on my way (free of charge, of course, since they should have fixed it the first time).

Well...6 weeks later and once again, not blowing cold, so back to the dealer I go. Once again, they said the hose was "leaking" and they did the dye test (shouldn't they have done this the first time?) and replaced the hose, and the refrigerant. Good for another 6 weeks, then once again, not blowing cold.

Ford Excursion :: 2005 - AC Quit Blowing Cold

My 05 has always had good air conditioning front and back but around three weeks ago it quit blowing cold. I found all the 134 had leaked out through a pin hole in the aluminum line that runs down the back of the engine to the rear ac unit. I removed the line and brazed the pin hole. So I reinstalled the line, put a vacume on the system for 20 mins then let it sit for another 20 to make sure I had no leaks. All seemed good so I re charged the system. Now my front blows nice and cold but the rear is warm?

My pressures at idle are around 40psi low side and 200ish on the high side when the engine is warmed up and the ambeint temp is around 74 f. If I turn it to the warmest setting for the rear it gets noticeably hotter so I'm thinking the blend door is working properly?? I've read that the thermal expansion valves can give some trouble so I pulled the jack and cubby out to gain access to it. I tried tapping on it with no gains. Also the top left line seems to be pretty cold coming out of it too the evaporator but the line coming out of the evap is room temp. I was very careful not to let any junk get into the lines when they were apart for the line repair but I'm thinking maybe some junk has plugged up the TXV?

Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: No Lights To Gauges / Heater Controls Quit Working

I have a 2000 F-150 and my lights to my gauges and heater controls quit working. I checked all the fuses inside and under the hood. All good. I swapped a few relays around and no luck. I tried replacing the headlight switch and that did not work. I checked power to the gauges from the headlight switch and there is no power, I then ran a hot wire to the wire that powers the gauge lamps and they do light up, so it is not a bulb issue. I assume I am not getting power, but do not know where else to look?

Passat (B5) :: 2003 V6 AC Blows Hard But Quit Blowing Cold

Have 2003 V6 FWD Passat. A/C blows hard but quit blowing cold. Noticed last week, that sitting for a long light, A/C would quit blowing cold, then cycle on again every 20-30 sec. After worked fine. Yesterday no cold air.

Read on forums about the 384 relay. My electric fan is NOT coming on. Started car, turned A/C on high, and checked voltage on connecter to fan. was negligible. Car was fully warmed up, so i figure voltage should be 14.0 VDC

Making assumption that it is either the AC relay 384, or the fan relay but there are two, a 214 and a 213.

Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Overheating / AC Quit Blowing Cold

Will the computer in a 2007 shut down the AC compressor in an overheating scenario because it would be considered non essential? Yesterday on my way home from work my AC quit blowing cold. I just had the compressor changed a couple of months ago so my first though was bad compressor. Then I noticed the temp gauge start to climb. The truck was over heating. There was a hole in the radiator. Now that the overheating problem is fixed the AC is again blowing cold. I just would like to know if I may be starting g to have issues with the compressor again or if it's natural for it to shut the compressor off because of overheating of the motor.
