View 3 RepliesI have a 2000 Dakota quad cab with a 4.7 l when I turn on either turn signal itll flash 2-3 times or sometimes not even flash at all when it does it just stops u can hear the flasher working . What to check and how to check/ replace parts I need to get it working again is there a flasher inside the steering column. or is there just a relay on the side where the fuses are ?
View 1 RepliesI recently just purchased my 2010 Prius and the first mod I did was add new projectors/HID's. Upon ordering this kit I did not get the relay harness.
I also would like to add I drove my car around with my headlights out to see if a bulb out warning would come on and nothing. Also, if we add LED's to turn signals will this create a hyper flash?
Is there a way to make the running lights flash yellow for signaling a turn like many other makes and models? Would it require aftermarket lights? If I wasn't mistaken, I think I saw an RC doing this today.
Also if this is a thing does that mean I could get the amber out of the headlight? My car is 2015, if that makes a difference.
I am having an electrical problem with my front right turn signal I have not been able to chase down.
The symptoms are when the headlights are on, either manually or automatically from the daylight sensor, the front right turn signal will not flash, and I get the double speed clicking as if there were a burned out bulb. However, when it is daylight out and the headlights are in daytime running light mode, the turn signal works fine, 95% of the time. Occasionally when the headlights are off the turn signal will not work either.
I have replaced the headlights casing and bulbs, and tried rebuilding the pig tail harness as well.
My 1996 GMC Sonoma's turn signals don't flash. The signal bulbs do come on when I flip the switch and I can simulate a turning signal by clicking the switch up and down (which doesn't make me feel silly at all, btw). All six bulbs appear to be working and I can't find any blown fuses. I have also replaced the multifunction switch (which is what two different mechanics told me needed to be done).
View 5 RepliesI have a 2012 limited last night while driving when I would turn my turn signal on the headlights would flash off and back on. I tried it a few more times and it did this quite a bit. I do have HID lights which I have had for about a year now but never had an issue before.
View 8 RepliesI've got an 1984 Chevy Suburban that when I put the Left Tun Signal on, All of the signals Flash (altho the Right side is weaker). The Right Turn Signals are working OK. Brake and Tail lights are Normal Are some wires melted together someplace?I am at a loss as to where to start looking for the problem...
View 8 RepliesI have a 1994 ford ranger .the problem is with the right rear turn signal. it works fine except when i step on the brake. At that time, it turns dim and will not flash. All of the other turn signals are not affected like this.i have checked the bulbs and they are all good. I mean the three in the rear tail lite.
View 3 Replies1998 Olds Intrigue 3.8L ... When I turn on the right signal on my Olds Intrigue the back light flashes faster than normal. The front light does not flash. I purchased a new light bulb for the front. I replaced the bulb. The back flashes at a faster rate but the front does not flash. I replaced the front and rear bulbs. The front does not flash and the rear flashes at a faster rate. Do you think there is a broken wire or broken signal flasher?
View 3 RepliesMy 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan's most recent problem has baffled 2 garages so far. It is now in a 3rd one that specializes in auto electric issues. When I turn on the left signal it flashes a few times then the RIGHT side starts to flash. When I turn the right signal on you got it the LEFT side flashes! I installed a new multi function switch and NO CHANGE!
View 6 RepliesMy 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe right hand turn signal light bulbs flash rapidly both in the front and rear, the left hand side is normal. I am trying to locate the turn signal flasher module but without any luck, looked under the dash in the fuse box and under the hood in the relay box. Is it in the relay box...
View 7 RepliesNeed better understanding of the wiring and turn signal selector than I do in my 07 6.0 HD. At first the issue started with the right front and right mirror blinking fast indicating a burnt out rear right turn signal. However after a few seconds the right rear will start working and the speed would be normal. I noticed it worse on very wet days making me think the rear tail light was letting in water and messing with the bulb. But it turns out it does it on nice days too.
These days it has evolved into the turn signal sometimes taking a few seconds before any of the right side actually starts to flash, also sometimes the indicator does not automatically deactivate after a right turn.
Giving the bottom of the steering column a calibrated tap usually always fixes the issue until the next turn.
Assuming its a bad turn signal selector switch Part number YL3T-13K359-ABJAEA but not knowing the wiring diagram I dont see how this bad switch would intermittently stop controlling the right rear turn signal. I would guess that it would tell the flasher left or right, not which lefts and which rights.
How to go about turning off the signal flash when unlocking the vehicle? I grab the door and the signal flashes twice indicating unlocked, I do not like announcing to my neighbours every time I unlocked my car. My dealership tells me they do not know how? I was hoping there is a series of buttons to press or something like that. I have a 2012 base model (one).
View 1 RepliesI have a 97 Buick Regal with turn signal issues. The left side will not flash but stays lit and the right side flashes fast. I have the problem isolated to the Daytime Running Light Module. (replaced turn signal stalk, flasher and bulbs). I ran a jumper wire bypassing the module and everything works as it should. Do I need to replace this module, or can I simply bypass it without it messing anything else up. I don't want my horn going off when I change the station on the radio.
View 1 RepliesI just purchased a 2012 Toyota Camry SE, 4-cyl, with the touch screen that indicates tire pressure. However, the indicators simply show a row of tires, not matching them to wheel locations. I looked it up in the manual and it was silent on this question. What is the "order" assigned to this single row of four tires? Seems odd that the manufacturer would go this far but not label or "map" the tires.
View 14 RepliesHow to fix or solve front turn signals that are not working? I just realized that both the front signals on my Prius doesn't light or flash when making a turn, the rear are working fine. Is this an easy fix or should I bring it to the dealer?
View 4 RepliesI've been noticing this one single "metallic" click sound a few months ago, it happens whenever I turn the steering wheel a little over 90 degrees.
The steering intermediate shaft recall has been done summer of last year. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this sound I'm hearing.
This is a video I made
If you watch this video, you need to turn it up really loud to hear the faint click sound every time I turn the steering wheel past 90 degrees.
I used to think when I flash it'll turn on the high beam only but that's wrong.
Today I changed the high bulbs 9005 to a brighter pair trying to get a better DRLs, but when I tested the high beam by flashing I realized it turns both low & high beams on at the same time.
I have HID for low beam so that's not a good thing for me to flash. And I think I did it only one time in the past but now I won't do it again. Is it normal?
Since the first time I saw the OEM LED taillights I knew I wanted them and I knew I didn't want that turn signal glitch when braking. There is, of course, the option to wire the LED tails the OEM "proper" way, but I wasn't interested in running multiple wires from front to back so I came up with another way.
All of the wiring to make these work without error* (This method will make the inner LEDs work as brake and Running lights, opposed to just running lights) is confined to the hatch and outer taillight areas.
The main thing that I knew I had to avoid was using the current Pin 1 wire to power the Pin 3 turn signals. For some reason unknown to me the Pin 1 wire wants to be a brake light even after the brake light coding is removed from the adaption channels relating to the pin out. So if that wire wants to be a brake light so badly then that's what I would let it be.
The idea behind the wiring is to use the power from the running light on each side of the hatch to power the turn signal on that respective side (hatch and outer amber signals) and then re-power the inner running light by using a jumper from the outer taillight power.
Now some illustrations to clear that mess up:
The top portion of the picture shows the stock configuration and then the modifications take place in the lower section
And here is a quick video showing that the LED Tails are working. (When brakes are applied the turn signals don't flicker...) [URL] .....
This morning I got a yellow warning light flash for a few seconds and then turn solid after driving on the highway for a few minutes. It looks this: (_!_). It is located on the right of the dash display. I just changed my oil and put on winter tires myself two days ago. I hope it isn't related to my maintenance.
