Is there a way to disable the beep and text received message on the headunit? You have two choices, Read or Cancel. When I'm driving, I really don't care about texts at all. I don't want whatever is on the stereo obscured.

I noticed when I have my iphone 4s plugged in to the USB and my BT is on I don't get the notification noise that i always do when I get a text message. When I get a phone call it rings on the car speakers since I have it connected to my BT but not the text message. I commute to work over an hour each way and i hate to keep checking my phone to see if I got a text since it's not going off when I get a message.
View 3 RepliesI figured out how to get the text message function to work on my head unit. It was a setting on my iPhone, under Bluetooth it was the "show notifications". Then all of a sudden bam any texts I get while in the car pop up and the HU will read them aloud, also there are a bunch of quick responses.
View 16 RepliesI have a 2012 PIP (assume same technology as non-PIP Gen 3s?). I paired my Galaxy S3 phone with the PIP and when my phone receives a text message, I get the prompt on the Prius' screen to read the text message to me. I then paired my wife's iPhone4 to the car, but when she gets a text, there's no prompt on the Prius' screen to read the text. Where should I start troubleshooting this?

View 13 RepliesI have a nexus 6 with the 7" Entune with Nav but non jbl unit. Everything works fine except everything comes up unknown for receiving text messages. I played around with the settings a quite a bit. Rebooted the head unit countless times using the hold down the power button for 5 seconds trick. Totally uninstalled Entunes and reinstalled and reconnected it to the phone again and did all the updates with no luck. It does read the messages and the phone displays the contacts from the phone fine but the contacts on the SMS aren't syncing together. Since they are unknown, I am unable to do any of the quick messages thru the entune system.
View 4 RepliesI pretty much have my car all setup now, but one thing that I have not been able to do is receive text messages to where it will display on the in dash screen. I have the Solar Package / Premium Navigation system. As for my Phone, I have the Galaxy Note II with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and AT&T. My phone still receives texts while connected to the car's blue tooth, and I can view on my phone, but I'm unable to view on the in dash display, which means I can't send out the quick replies either. Is there something in the phone that I need to set up?
View 7 RepliesToday, I get in my prius (05, 106K miles, nav) the "CD ERROR" message. I can't get it to do anything with the CDs, though it will give some strange flashing when holding the eject buttons.
View 1 RepliesThe car beeped at me when I tried to lock it. Initially, I thought I forgot to turn it off. But no, it said "keys detected inside". Not so, as the key was in my pocket outside when I tried to lock it and the other key was 10 miles away at home.
View 2 RepliesWhen I plug my iPhone into the USB port sometimes a message pops up that says "The accessory uses too much power and will be turned off" Then a few seconds later my phone will stop charging, but then within a matter of seconds it will charge again and go on and off like this each time giving me the error message.

Just got my 06 Prius. The screen shows that Audio Off. The radio doesn't want to turn on. What could be the issue. 06 Prius with nav, Bluetooth, JBL etc. Everything else seem to work except the radio. Fuse perhaps?
View 3 RepliesTwice so far, when my iPhone is paired with my V, base model 5, I get a notice that there is a software update, but it's always popped up at inopportune times. Now that I'm at home, I can't get the message to pop up.
Can I manually download whatever it is that needs to be updated rather than waiting for the message again?
Any way to turn this off? It's annoying that every time I get a text it pops up on my screen and I have to click ignore. I don't need a text notification.
View 7 RepliesI had a Samsung Galaxy s4 that gave me the message tethering detected and then the only way to get my phone to connect via bluetooth again was to delete the phone from the car and reestablish the connection which only worked until the signal popped up again. I called US Cellular and they thought it was the phone so I chose to get a refurbished s4 over having work done on my phone. I had that phone hooked up and working well for about 1 month and now the second phone is doing it.
The message last popped up while I was in my office across the street from the Prius. I'm guessing it's either a s4 issue or a US Cellular issue being it happens in and out of the car, but US Cellular is convinced it's my car. I'm thinking about switching to an iPhone because this is only one of the many things I hate about Samsung galaxies.
All of a sudden, the navigation system in my Prius c is no longer giving me turn-by-turn guidance. It will, when I set a route, give me directions, once, and will then remain silent unless I press the on screen volume button, or use the 'Repeat directions' voice command.
I've looked through all the options screens several times, but don't see anything that seems connected to turning voice guidance on or off.
2012 Prius five Navigation system not giving verbal turn by turn instructions last 3 miles to destination. Also failed on new Prius at dealer. Toyota corp said navigation is working as designed.

The Prius C3 beeps with the door open (ok with that)..beeps with the lights on (ok I guess)...but when you turn off the car it beeps for no reason. How do I turn that off? These beeps are driving me nuts. There has to be an easy way to silence this.
View 16 RepliesI find my GPS in the Prius C is not giving sufficient time via audible alert before I need to turn, it only gives around 50 metres warning and at 60kph I find I miss the turn sometimes. I am sure I saw somewhere to adjust this but cannot find it again!
View 3 RepliesIn my Prius 2005 BC, I enjoyed having the turn list posted on the right hand side of the nav screen. I noticed on my 2016 Prius Four ATP that all I saw were freeway exit lists and the occasional upcoming turn screen. I opened my trusty "Navigation System Owner's Manual" to page 199 and read about Map Mode. I see clearly that Option 4 is the turn list, but on my screen only the first 3 options are present. Is there some thing else that needs to be selected to have option 4? BTW: this is a US market vehicle.

View 19 RepliesSo last night, I left my parking lights on in my car (accidentally). 14 hours later, I come to the vehicle and it starts up no problem. I'm assuming that the lights automatically turn off, but the manual only says that the headlights do. I tried to duplicate the situation and I did just once, but I couldn't get the car do it again. Is this a standard feature that I can rely on? Or was this some instance of divine intervention?
