Browse button is greyed out when an iPhone 4S (iOS 5) is connected using Bluetooth. Browse button is not greyed out when connected with iPod cable.

View 5 RepliesJust got my Prius III last week and I've noticed that every time I leave the car, the bluetooth on my phone shows its still connected, even though the car is off and I'm no where near it. What's worse is that when I return to the car, it doesn't reconnect. So I'm not sure if its the phone or the car. I had bluetooth in my Tacoma for years and it worked fine, so it has to have something to do with the car. Its a Droid 4.
View 11 Replies2013 Prius. Audio worked fine yesterday but on my way to work this morning the car would not play audio from my iPhone 6s. The Bluetooth is connected fine and calling still works but when I play music the screen shows that the music is playing but I get no sound from my speakers. I've tried resetting my phone and turned the car off and on to no avail.

But when she gets in the car it always connects to her phone for bluetooth streaming even though mine was the last one connected. Totally obnoxious, so I deleted her.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius v Model 5 without Tech Pkg. While streaming music from my iPod Touch via Bluetooth, the sound tends to skip or speed up as if you are pressing fast forward intermittently. Sound is fine when hard wired via USB. I don't recall this happening when the car was new.

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to figure out if I'm dealing with an isolated situation...my iPhone 4's BT music streaming tends to have a slow-down effect whenever I start using the phone. It doesn't have to be a million apps running in the background for it to slow down (as if someone just turned off the turntable while the LP was playing), it could be caused by a simple accessing of the phone main screen... My prior car (Acura TL-Type S '07) worked flawlessly with my iPhone 3GS, so not sure if it's the iPhone 4 or my Prius V...

View 8 RepliesI just got a new 2013 Camry SE with the basic (non-nav) touch display and the Galaxy S3 registers and will play music and display the artist and track name most of the time.However, I have no option of looking at the artists or selecting albums. The right and left buttons on the wheel controls do nothing, and I can only skip forward and backward one track.
On page 54 of the display manual, it shows a browse button that is not there on my screen. I cannot get track lists of any kind. I should also note that the song progress bar is not displayed as it is in the picture.
Is there a certain app that I can use that would make the phone more compatible? I'm a bit shocked that a phone as commercially successful as the S3 is not working properly with a 2013 vehicle.
I had a Samsung Galaxy s4 that gave me the message tethering detected and then the only way to get my phone to connect via bluetooth again was to delete the phone from the car and reestablish the connection which only worked until the signal popped up again. I called US Cellular and they thought it was the phone so I chose to get a refurbished s4 over having work done on my phone. I had that phone hooked up and working well for about 1 month and now the second phone is doing it.
The message last popped up while I was in my office across the street from the Prius. I'm guessing it's either a s4 issue or a US Cellular issue being it happens in and out of the car, but US Cellular is convinced it's my car. I'm thinking about switching to an iPhone because this is only one of the many things I hate about Samsung galaxies.
I have a Prius two 2012, have been using an old iPod for music over USB, and a blackberry over bluetooth handsfree profile. blackberry phones allow you to manage which BT profiles are connected, I disabled the music over BT profile. but now I just got an iPhone 5s to replace both phone and ipod, it automatically pairs with all profiles supported by the car, no disable or selection per profile. I want to play music over USB, not BT, the quality is better.
But the iPhone doesn't support both, if BT music is enabled, then that is where it goes. i have not found a way to disable the BT music. I confirmed with Apple tech support, they say the car side decides what services to pair with the phone, the iPhone just slavishly does what it is told with no user control options. Looking then at option control on the radio side, i have looked at the radio BT setups, there is no option i can find to select which profiles to automatically connect. How to configure the BT settings so the iPhone is registered only for handsfree and not BT music? Pls note that have only the basic display audio...

View 3 RepliesI switched from an Android phone to a iPhone 4 and after the switch I noticed that sometimes the bluetooth A2DP audio goes out in the middle of playing. The bluetooth does not drop connection or lose pairing, but there just no sound.
I can tap the "play" icon on the Nav touch screen and the sound comes back for a minute or so and goes out again repeatedly. If I don't do anything and just wait, after a minute or two the sound spontaneously returns and usually keeps going.
At first I though it was a problem with the podcast app I was using, but then I noticed the exact same behavior with playing music with the built-in native iPod app.
I just recently switched from an iPhone to the Optimus G Pro and the first thing I noticed is that I can't browse my music catalog or anything.
View 6 RepliesI just picked up a 2013 Camry SE with the display audio system today and I am tickled with the car so far. I paired my Iphone 5S to the car over bluetooth and the car uses the phone fine - better than fine, it's great - and the music plays, so far so good. Except I can't browse the music selections through the dashboard monitor when paired on bluetooth - those buttons are greyed out. If I use the USB cable, then I can control the music selection with the dashboard. Is this how the system is supposed to work? I have installed Entune on my phone and created an account. I have IOS6 on my phone.
View 14 RepliesToday I noticed that the phone speed dial and history dial features on my navigation system are greyed out and cannot be used while driving. They work while I am stopped, but grey out when the car starts moving. I have owned this car for 5 years and have never had this problem.

View 1 RepliesI've been having a few problems with keeping my ipod connected with Entune. I was working fine but lately the ipod screen keeps saying loading. Then when I switch to another source like FM, then back to Ipod, I also get a "Function not available" screen. The only thing that has fixes this is to hard reboot my ipod, and turn off the car and restart.

I can't find the dual anchors for the infant seat base; I know I feel dumb and I'm sure the dealer can show me how to access Blue Tooth connection; Phone screen flickers on and off see attached images. I lose the ability to dial number or access contacts
