View 1 RepliesThe other night on my way home, I flipped on the high beams and the low beams didn't shut off. Flash to pass still works, and pushing in on the end of the stem turns the low beams off as well.
Having the column switch apart, is it possible this could be fixed without having to pull the steering wheel? Or, am I better off just spending the hundred dollars of so and putting in a new part?
I recently replaced the front wheel well liner on the passenger side. The old one was shredded and I figured it had come loose. I put a new one in and made sure all fasteners are used (bought new fasteners). Still during some freeway driving the liner did not stay behind the lip of the front bumper and rubbed a small hole in it from the tire. Any way to prevent it?
View 17 RepliesWhat steps are needed to modify a 2005 RX 330's fog lights to stay on with the high beams? I found the info on the web & did this modification to my 2010 Tundra but can not find any info pertaining to how to mod an RX.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2001 F53 chassis Coachmen Mirada. My low beams, and only the low beams, blink off and back on ea. 2 seconds, and the low beams stay on with highs on. I have confirmed with a friend who has the identical model that the lows should go off. The dip is momentary and happens regardless of anything else. The highs don't blink and do go off when they should.
The headlight switch seems to work normally. The multi function switch does turn the highs on and off as it should. Both sides behave the same. The Daylight running lights are separate and work fine. The high and lows are 2 different bulbs. Where do you think I should start checking? With previous cars I was led to believe that a headlight that goes off meant a breaker being tripped due to a short or bad breaker. I can't find a breaker to check.
I just had some custom headlights built for my truck. I have noticed if I am on low beam with fogs on, switch to high fogs go off, switch back to low, and fogs come on but highs stay engaged until I turn off fogs, the go low beam... I have heard this has happened before with other trucks and that it was called a Bambi something? And that there was a possible fix...
View 1 RepliesI have a 2012 sedan. I am not sure what happened, I don't know that I'm getting the full story. I bought the 2012 Accent for my partner, I drive an 11' Santa Fe. Anyhow, the front bumper on the passenger side appears to be separating from the body of the car underneath where it clips in under the fender/headlight area. I snapped it back in and it appeared to be secure. Went out to the garage last night and, well... it's popped back out but looks worse than it did before. Is it just clips that hold the bumper on that could have broke? And if so, do I have to replace the entire bumper to correct this?
View 14 RepliesI just did a front bumper repair and now I need something to mount my plate because because in Ontario we need a plate in the front and the back. I current have it zip tied to the lower grill. Any good option for a mount that doesn't involve drilling?
View 12 RepliesInstalling some fog light HID's and was wondering how to remove the front bumper.
View 7 RepliesSo I am looking at the signal lights (?) on my front bumper (2012 Tiguan SE). I see there are bulbs inside them but they are not functional. Is there any coding that needs to be done for this to work?
View 4 RepliesI see some wires dangling in the front bumper which looks like fog lights plugs but I don't get it so is it just plug and play buy a new bumper with fog lights or something? My car doesn't have fog lights but it looks like there is wires for fog lights.
View 10 RepliesDealer did repair work on front bumper. Now, after reinstalling a new front bumper, I noticed water starting to form inside the fog light assembly after it has rained. Dealer says this is normal due to our tropical weather. This has never happened prior to the repair work that was done.
View 12 RepliesLooking for info on these replacements and is there any manuals out there to assist with the process?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2012 F-250...per DOT specs, the fog lights go out with hi-beams on. However, in my opinion, the high beams on my truck are among the worst I've seen. Low beams are OK. Is there some easy mod to keep the fogs on with the brights?
View 14 RepliesMy truck only has low beams. When you move the stalk on the colum backwords it changes nothing, when you move it forwards the low beams go out but the high beams do not come on.
View 14 RepliesA good while back I seen a thread to do this , but can't locate it now. I have a 2012 F250 and looking to make my night time driving better ....... I want to run both low and high beams at the same time and getting the fog lamps to stay on when going from low to high beam.
View 14 RepliesOn the 99-07 front bumper i would like to add driving lights in the bumper under the headlights something like the 11 up bumpers have...
Looking for a light and housing that possibly could be installed with out having to re chrome, so it could have a bezel to cover cut edge of bumper...
My regular beam light stopped working today. If i pull back on the high beams, both come on and work, however, if i push the lever forward to leave them on permanently, they don't come on at all. Is this because the regular bulb is out, or is something else wrong?
View 6 RepliesI just bought a 2011 Tiguan S. Loving it so far, but I can't seem to get the high beams to stay on? I'll pull on the lever and it'll go on but then will snap back. I thought it was strange since none of the cars in our family does this. I tried turning it on with the headlights turned on as well and it wouldn't work.
