It will sync for about 10-30 seconds, then the car's Bluetooth just shuts off. It's not my phone, as the BT on my phone is working with everything else. I have unpaired, re-paired, shut everything down. It starts up again for that 10-30 seconds, and then it shuts off. Do I need to take it to the dealer?
View 3 RepliesSince I cannot program addresses into the NAV system while my wife drives the car (or vice versa), I tried to just program them in while the car was parked on the driveway. However the car shuts itself off after about 2 minutes regardless of what I'm doing. I figure if I put the car into drive it would work, but I was charging at the time so the car wouldn't let me.
View 19 RepliesAfter about a min once bluetooth connects it fails. In setup under bluetooth it says it's off and pushing it does nothing. My phone shows bluetooth on and still paired. If I was talking to someone call does not get dropped but I have to pick up my phone and turn off bluetooth so I can hear them on phone speaker.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2015 Plug in Prius and a Samsung Galaxy S5. I am having terrible bluetooth issues. It connects fine then after a minute or two the bluetooth on the cars gets turned off. I can turn of engine and turn it back on and it connects again for couple of minutes after that the bluetooth on prius shows turned off. It is terrible.

View 7 RepliesSo I wanted to play with the nav system (specifically figure out how to make it find POI along my route... why it can't tell me the compass direction along with the distance to the 17 different McDonalds is beyond me) and when I turned the car on in accessory mode (not depressing the pedal) it shut off after two mins. I tried both "levels" of accessory mode and the behavior was the same. The car was plugged in and actively charging. What am I doing wrong?
View 8 RepliesI just got my prius last week! so cute and shiny and new... but...on day 1, I paired my phone (droid razr maxx hd) to the car and talked for about 5 min without issue.
the next day, this behavior started... I turn on my car, after about 30-60s, the phone and car pair. If I make a phone call right away, the car Bluetooth will turn off after 30s. If I don't make a call right away, after several minutes, the Bluetooth will once again shut down. The only way to turn it back on is to turn off and restart the car. (My phone pairs just fine with my 2007 prius)
I read online that the current razr operating system has issues... but never heard of this. The dealership is confused by the issue. Wondering if any of you experienced this and had the issue resolved?
After my 25k service it seems the timer scheduler when the square button is pressed/held flashes at 7am. When i press the H button the hour advances to 12am then closes. I want to start the charge at 12am and finish at 5AM. The timer windows closes when i move the finish hour to 12am and then my regular clock hour changes. It used to be when i pressed/held the timer button the start time would show at 12 am and after setting it would go to the finish hour.

Can't and don't want to load them all. I can't figure out how to load or create a contact without using my bluetooth phone.

View 5 RepliesI have a Prius two 2012, have been using an old iPod for music over USB, and a blackberry over bluetooth handsfree profile. blackberry phones allow you to manage which BT profiles are connected, I disabled the music over BT profile. but now I just got an iPhone 5s to replace both phone and ipod, it automatically pairs with all profiles supported by the car, no disable or selection per profile. I want to play music over USB, not BT, the quality is better.
But the iPhone doesn't support both, if BT music is enabled, then that is where it goes. i have not found a way to disable the BT music. I confirmed with Apple tech support, they say the car side decides what services to pair with the phone, the iPhone just slavishly does what it is told with no user control options. Looking then at option control on the radio side, i have looked at the radio BT setups, there is no option i can find to select which profiles to automatically connect. How to configure the BT settings so the iPhone is registered only for handsfree and not BT music? Pls note that have only the basic display audio...
I just got my 2012 Prius 4, the blue tooth is paired with my Samsung Captivate (SGH-I897), however the car bluetooth will not let me answer the incomming calls whenever I hit the green call button on the screen or the call button on the steering wheel.. or any button for that matter. The only way I can answer incomming calls is to dig out my phone and answer the call on my phone.. I called toyota and 3 customer service reps called me back and guess what, I was able to answer their phone calls on the car blue tooth... but no one else... I received numerous calls and was not able to answer them using my car bluetooth...
View 4 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius IV with the solar package and I love it, but when I connect the USB cord from the (hidden) usb connection to my iphone, it automatically reverts to the bluetooth connection.
I managed to get the Entunes to work for a little bit today, but now it won't connect at all. It has to do with the usb connection. I've only had the car a week- sometimes the ipod will work for a few minutes but then it switches to bluetooth. And Entunes is apparently only supposed to connect through the usb, not bluetooth.
I am about to finish up my graduate studies here in Ohio, after which, my wife and I will be headed back to California. We are in desperate need of a second car, but have decided to wait until we move to get one. My wonderful in laws have said that they are willing to split the cost of a new car with us. With that said, we have already decided that we want to get a Prius, but we can't decide which one. We both really like the V. We love how roomy the car is. This is very important to us because we are going to start a family soon. However, we also like the regular Prius and the PiP. I really like the PiP but am a little concerned about the new batteries, and I am not sure that I want to pay the early adapter premium assuming one is even available. But, only paying half for a PiP sounds rather tempting. Considering all that I just said, if you were in my shoes what car would you get and why?
View 12 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius Two, a monitor with Bluetooth capabilities. I use the Samsung Galaxy Note II with Sprint on Jellybean Android.
I have tried numerous music players on Android and here's what happens:
Music plays fine. Bluetooth paired perfectly. Randomly the entire head unit will reboot. There is no pattern. It happens after about a minute and a half. It shuts off and comes back on.
I do not have an AUX in unfortunately. When I tried my wife's HTC EVO 4G on Android It worked perfectly. Only Bluetooth.
I tried to install entune. No dice. it says that ny VIN is invalid.
Just wondering, is there a recommended procedure or speed range to shift in or out of EV mode while operating, or should it be done while the car is stopped?
View 2 RepliesNew to the Prius family. Bought a 2014 PIP advanced last week strictly as an economic play. Am noob when it comes to driving techniques, currently average 72 mpg on 90 mi. trips with one charge, so doing better than I expected. I did read up on the Pulse and Glide techniques for the standard Prius and the 'verification' of the glide portion for those is the lack of any power arrows emanating from either the ICS , MG2 or battery on the MID. I have been unable to replicate this on the PIP. In other words, when I am 'gliding' on my PIP, the ICS is off but there always seems to be a green charge indicator flowing back to the batteries from the front wheels.
Keep in mind, my foot is on the accelerator slightly, there is no 'white' bar protruding into the CHG area or the ECO area and I know I am 'gliding/coasting' as no matter how long I am in this sweet spot, even though the charge arrows are active, I DO NOT top up the battery at all, which says to me the car is indeed 'gliding' without the regenerative brakes or ICS in play and it certainly FEELS like I'm gliding as with over-inflated tires (44/42) the PIP seemingly coasts forever. I'm thinking this is a different behavior from a standard Prius in this 'glide' sweet spot, as, at least on my PIP, I can never get the MID to blank out in terms of energy flow. I.E. have you managed a 'pulse and glide' in a PIP getting the all energy flow arrows to disappear .
I am thinking of upgrading to a pip. I work in my car and was wondering if I plug it in can I still have the a/c running while it is plugged in or not? i read somewhere that if you turn the car into ready mode the systems won't allow it.

View 11 RepliesNew car. I think I could toggle between EV (green light) and HV (red light). Now instead of HV the car does switch between EV and EV/ECO. Am I doing something wrong. I want to avoid a trip to the dealer.
