I am at work and don't have my manuals with me. A friend of mine has a 2014 PIP advance and her door are not opening automatically. She has been pressing button of remote to unlock doors. She didn't even know the door can be open automatically when she insert hard into the handle. She also didn't know about the car pool green stickers, is it too late to apply? She just send in her form yesterday.

I was assuming they were automatically unlocking when I got close to the car but now I just realized it was never locked! Am I missing something or do I have manually lock it every time?

View 3 RepliesOK, the default operation on a base PHV is when you have the smart key on you and you come up to the locked car and touch the drivers door handle to open it, it will only unlock the drivers door.
This is inconsistent with what I was used to on my 08, when I open the drivers door, I want all doors to unlock at once. I looked in the owners manual and it appears I need to have the dealership reprogram that.
Well that's an annoyance, is there another way to accomplish this change? It is not in the touchscreen menu (although I did see the remote fob 2-stage unlock option there).
I traded in my '03 Camry for a '16. In my '03 Camry, if I did not lock the doors after closing them and walking away, they would automatically lock after 30s-1min. I can't seem to get my '16 Camry to do the same thing. I found the "Auto Lock Timer" feature in the "Vehicle Customization" of the ETune Audio System display. I tried setting it to 30s or 60s and standing outside of the car, but the doors do not lock, even after 5 minutes. What I can do to get them to lock automatically?

I am very happy with the deal I received and am greatly enjoying the step up in smoothness from the Mazda 3 with manual transmission that I was driving. For now, I have one simple question and will post some other observations over the next few weeks.My question regards the available methods of automatically unlocking the doors when shifting in to park or turning the car off. I want to set my car to the mode talked about on page 55 of the 2013 owners manual where all the doors are unlocked when the drivers door is opened within ten seconds after turning the engine start stop switch off.
I have tried several times to follow the directions shown for the smart key system but I cannot get it to work. I have disabled the auto lock when shift into park function in the car settings in the display audio system. I even tried some random directions that I found on the Internet but they seem to perhaps work only for older Camrys. How to to set their auto door unlocking in the mode described above? I really just would like to check it out and see if I like it. Honestly, I can probably live without it and just press the unlock button or use the unlock when shifting into park mode
Kind of annoying open your door, then hit the unlock button. Is there an option or some hand motion to unlock both doors when you grab the handle?

But it looks like on the Display Audio system, it cannot be set. Can the dealer set it instead?
I have a Toyota Prius 2008 and my key fob has stopped opening and closing the doors. It's one where I can open and close the door using the buttons on the key fob but does not open or start the car from a distance.
Anyway, it stopped working. My wife's works fine. I tried changing the battery and tested both batteries on a battery tester and that showed full charge on both. When I place the battery into the fob, the red light on the remote flashes for some time then stops. It doesn't flash when I press any of the three keys. And the car will start and run fine with the fob.
I would like all the doors to unlock when i open the drivers door. The manual is a little confusing on how to do this or if you can.
View 9 RepliesI recently purchased a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT and don't know very much about it, nor Fords in general. I was just wondering if there is any way to have the power doors unlock automatically when I shift into Park or turn the ignition off? It has the option to have the doors automatically lock once I reach 5-10 mph, but I can't find any information about programming it to unlock automatically. It doesn't have the programmable computer display, so everything requires pressing a bunch of buttons when the key is turned on accessory and things like that. I have kids who are always in the back seats, and it gets annoying trying to get them out of the truck when it's off and I forget to manually unlock them.

I went through the manual and tried to turn the power button on and pushing the gear in N and pressing the lock button but it didn't work.
After my 25k service it seems the timer scheduler when the square button is pressed/held flashes at 7am. When i press the H button the hour advances to 12am then closes. I want to start the charge at 12am and finish at 5AM. The timer windows closes when i move the finish hour to 12am and then my regular clock hour changes. It used to be when i pressed/held the timer button the start time would show at 12 am and after setting it would go to the finish hour.
View 8 RepliesI have an iPhone 5S and whenever I plug it in to my car it automatically switches to the iPod input and starts playing tracks in alphabetical order, though sometimes it remembers to continue playing whatever I had playing on my phone before. This is rather annoying because I'd rather the car stay in whatever input mode I had it, and if I do switch to iPod or Bluetooth, I want it to *always* remember to play what I was playing before, even if it's Pandora and not "iPod" music. Is there a way to configure the JBL system to do this? Or at the very least stay in its current input mode until I manually switch it?

View 9 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius IV with the solar package and I love it, but when I connect the USB cord from the (hidden) usb connection to my iphone, it automatically reverts to the bluetooth connection.
I managed to get the Entunes to work for a little bit today, but now it won't connect at all. It has to do with the usb connection. I've only had the car a week- sometimes the ipod will work for a few minutes but then it switches to bluetooth. And Entunes is apparently only supposed to connect through the usb, not bluetooth.
How do I stop the doors from locking at 8mph on my '10 jsw? It is a total pain and I don't regularly drive in high crime areas. When I do I know how to lock the doors. 2010 JSW TDI ...

View 1 RepliesI normally open my Jetta with the key, as apparently the "remote" works on all doors but the driver's one. I will fix it at some point; anyway, what really disturbs me, is that all the doors get locked after a short time I start driving and stay closed even when I stop and turn off the engine. It's very inconvenient because I normally always put something I need to reach on the back seats etc. Can this behavior be changed? Do I have some options?
View 9 RepliesI recently purchased an '05 Camry LE V6 and noticed that when parking, and turning off the Camry, the doors do not automatically unlock. Is this a programming issue ? Also, can the Camry be programmed to unlock all doors with on click on the FOB ? On my '08 Highlander, when stopping, and putting into park, the door locks unlock automatically. Toyota was able to program the HL so that all doors unlock with a single click.
Also, is there a way to program a new FOB ? I purchased a second FOB for the car. to program the FOB to work with the Camry. So, can the Camry/FOB be programmed the same way as my Highlander ?
