View 5 RepliesAfter my 25k service it seems the timer scheduler when the square button is pressed/held flashes at 7am. When i press the H button the hour advances to 12am then closes. I want to start the charge at 12am and finish at 5AM. The timer windows closes when i move the finish hour to 12am and then my regular clock hour changes. It used to be when i pressed/held the timer button the start time would show at 12 am and after setting it would go to the finish hour.
View 8 RepliesFirst week with my new Advanced and I love it. Can't wait until I get plates and my Green HOV sticker. I use the car for my daily commute and have a very regular schedule. Is there any way to make a permanent setting of the charge start time? It's a bit of a pain to have to set it every time I get home. I have RTFM but haven't found any way to do this?
View 4 RepliesEvery day for the last four years the timer on the air filter drives me crazy. It insists on switching from filter to outside air after three minutes, which sucks back in all the Diesel fumes and dust I just finished filtering. I would very much like to disable the timer. I'm not afraid of cutting wires.
View 14 RepliesI received a message similar to this when I started my car up this morning. I am paraphrasing because I don't remember the exact wording. I had set the timer to charge from 4am-7am and entered my car at 7am to this message and 0 charge. Did I just plug it in correctly or what does this mean? I've never had an issue until today.
View 19 RepliesI know I am unusual but most days I drive about 3-4 miles. I can get 2-3 days out of a charge. Should I plug in every night or just when needed? Does it use more kWh to plug in every day?
View 19 RepliesThe headlight stays on for about a minute after the car shuts down. What is this term called? I want to set the timer of this delay shorter. Right now it feels like a minute to turn off the head and tail lights.

I have noticed in the last little while, The car has a aplit second delay when I press the gas and it pulls.
I.e. If I'm on the highway, 5th gear 110km.h, I let go of the gas, soon as I press it again, a split second delay and it pulls with a slight jerk( Gas....... slight jerk. accel no problem).
Also, at times when the car is sitting overnight, my Airpump doesn't start when I start the car. In warmer weather, it always fires up after the car has been OFF for a period of time.
I got my Ross-Tech Vag and scanned it with no issues, except, my ABS module is not communicating.

I was looking for headlights with built in LED strips. Just bought the camry so still fresh on the toyota scene. These things look so weird though.
Picked up the car 5 days ago but noticed when I press the clutch and rev the engine, there's a throttle delay/hesitation and a simultaneous sound like "psshht". The sound is almost like when you're shifting a turbo car with a blow off valve.
Other than that the car is great. 2012 Elantra GL manual ...
I've been noticing over the past couple years that sometimes when I accelerate, there's a slight delay between the time I press my foot down on the pedal and when acceleration actually happens. From reading other threads it would seem that the most common fix is to re-flash the ECU. I bought a DiabloSport Predator tuner along with a CAI a while back to improve performance/gas mileage and I was wondering if there's a way I can use the tuner to re-flash.
If not, do most ford repair shops already carry these? I don't want to buy a flash programmer. Also, if the shop does carry this type of an item, what is the average cost to get it re-flashed?
I own an '04 F150 XLT 5.4l.
I have a 2012 Prius C II my question is why is that when I press the Fob key to Lock/Unlock I only get a flashing light. (Headlights) there is no sound at all. How do I activate it so it flashes and have sound?
View 4 Repliesi am going to install built in DVD headrest monitors into my 2007 touring prius. I have posted questions about this before, but looking fopr detailed info on how to install these myself. Ive been told there is an amp under my drivers seat where i can do all the wiring, but I am not sure & don't want to screw things up. How to do this or has a wiring guide or anything like for this, that be real useful. Also, how to get the seat back off to feed the wires down, let me know that as well. I have the leather interior & the seat backs seem seamless. Its the power acoustik HDVD-9 model twin monitors.
View 2 RepliesI just picked up a used 2006 Prius today and it has bluetooth.... I paid the phone, but I have two questions.
1) is there a way to stream music using this built in bluetooth?
2) The Prius was asking me to SEND my contacts phonebook over to it.... but I don't see an option on my android phone for this...
How to upload songs to the vehicle's built-in Hard Drive (shown as 'HDD' on the navigation).
View 10 RepliesI am about to finish up my graduate studies here in Ohio, after which, my wife and I will be headed back to California. We are in desperate need of a second car, but have decided to wait until we move to get one. My wonderful in laws have said that they are willing to split the cost of a new car with us. With that said, we have already decided that we want to get a Prius, but we can't decide which one. We both really like the V. We love how roomy the car is. This is very important to us because we are going to start a family soon. However, we also like the regular Prius and the PiP. I really like the PiP but am a little concerned about the new batteries, and I am not sure that I want to pay the early adapter premium assuming one is even available. But, only paying half for a PiP sounds rather tempting. Considering all that I just said, if you were in my shoes what car would you get and why?
View 12 RepliesPrius 2013. After I power off the car with the Power button there appears to be a little bit of time during which I can push the window buttons and get the windows to close. Maybe five or ten seconds. If after that short period I notice that the windows are open I have to push the Power button twice to get to a state where to use the window buttons to close the windows. Is there any way to extend that time to a longer setting?
View 10 RepliesJust wondering, is there a recommended procedure or speed range to shift in or out of EV mode while operating, or should it be done while the car is stopped?
View 2 RepliesNew to the Prius family. Bought a 2014 PIP advanced last week strictly as an economic play. Am noob when it comes to driving techniques, currently average 72 mpg on 90 mi. trips with one charge, so doing better than I expected. I did read up on the Pulse and Glide techniques for the standard Prius and the 'verification' of the glide portion for those is the lack of any power arrows emanating from either the ICS , MG2 or battery on the MID. I have been unable to replicate this on the PIP. In other words, when I am 'gliding' on my PIP, the ICS is off but there always seems to be a green charge indicator flowing back to the batteries from the front wheels.
Keep in mind, my foot is on the accelerator slightly, there is no 'white' bar protruding into the CHG area or the ECO area and I know I am 'gliding/coasting' as no matter how long I am in this sweet spot, even though the charge arrows are active, I DO NOT top up the battery at all, which says to me the car is indeed 'gliding' without the regenerative brakes or ICS in play and it certainly FEELS like I'm gliding as with over-inflated tires (44/42) the PIP seemingly coasts forever. I'm thinking this is a different behavior from a standard Prius in this 'glide' sweet spot, as, at least on my PIP, I can never get the MID to blank out in terms of energy flow. I.E. have you managed a 'pulse and glide' in a PIP getting the all energy flow arrows to disappear .
I am thinking of upgrading to a pip. I work in my car and was wondering if I plug it in can I still have the a/c running while it is plugged in or not? i read somewhere that if you turn the car into ready mode the systems won't allow it.
View 6 RepliesWe just picked up our PIP and are super excited......except that the GPS is locked on Kentucky? It does not locate us here in Sacramento, CA and the dealer said if we can't get it working, they obviously will be fixing it.
