Prius Plug-in 2012-15 :: Car Beeps Few Times When Trying To Open Driver Door

I have had this happen two or three times and don't know how to reproduce reliably. With my FOB in me, car beeps a few times when trying to open the driver's door. This is repeatable when in this mode; that is, trying to open the door produces few beeps but door will not open. The last time this happened, I clicked the open button in the FOB, and this produced the few beeps without unlocking the door. The passenger door opens, and my wife can unlock driver's door from the inside, and then I can turn car on and go as if nothing had happened. The best I recall this has happened in the garage. which is why the passenger door is unlocked, but don't know why driver's door is locked. Again, this has not happened enough to recall the pattern.

So, I bought a 2012 camry se about 2 months ago and as soon as I got it home I noticed a clicking in the drivers side door when I open and close it. There's three clicks before its fully open, I'm thinking that it clicks at every stop point the door has. I know there's some models that have this put it stock so the wind doesn't blow your door shut on you, is this what it is? I tried looking online about it but couldn't really find anything.

While my camry is running if a passenger gets out the car and if I have the smart key the car will beep three times and show the key light in the dash. If i pick the key up and move it to the button the key light goes away. Is this normal or is there an issues? I just moved up to this car from a 97 camry and could not find an answer.

My 2012 Prius Plug-In has a rattle in the drivers door. It is only noticed when I am driving slow in EV, perhaps 25 to 40 mph, with the drivers door window up. Put the window down an inch and it goes away. Warmer weather seems to increase the rattle.

Every time I get out of my 2012 prius and close the door with the key in my pocket, engine running, i get three exterior beeps. if i then open and close any other door while outside the car, i get three more beeps. i can imagine this is toyota's way of reminding me that the car is running and key is not inside. is there a way to disable this annoyance, either myself or at the dealership?

It seems like there are a few instances where the HSI doesn't really act like it does the rest of the time. The first case is going from EV to HV during that warm up period. Another is when you are out of EV range but the HV battery shows full bars. The HSI seems to jump around a lot more and not necessarily follow what your foot is doing. It's perfect the rest of the time.

After dining at a restaurant in East Lansing when temp was close to zero F., we found the doors frozen. Not a problem: one yank and they open. Then as soon as we reach 12 mph, instead of the auto lock, the driver's door unlatches and the warning light and beeps come on. Stop. Close door. Continue. Same again. Start, manually lock doors, and at 12 mph driver's door unlatches. And again. Drive home with warning lights and beeps. No problem next day. But curious.

I bought carpet and loaded it into the PIP, needing to strap down the hatchback with the carpet sticking out.
As soon as I drove off both turn signals started flashing and a tone beeping.
The flashers stopped after a minute, but the beeping sounded all the way home.Very Annoying.

I've just got a 2014 model Hyundai i25 and it has a funny habit. When the driver's door is opened there is a ticking noise (like a light on/off sound). The noise stops when the door is closed. It happens only with the driver's door. This a company car and I checked the others ~ 15. None behaves the same. The local official Hyundai dealer/workshop can't figure it out...

2003 F150 Super Crew 5.4
When I turn off the ignition, the drivers door lock unlocks or pushes the arm through the door for up to 30-60 seconds over and over again. I would say like 10 times and it is annoying as hell.
Is the only part in the door that controls this the actuator or is there something else that can be doing this?

On my 2014 pip. (4500 miles)
I notice when I go over expansion joints on the freeway with my window open I can hear a bit of a clank sound. I do not hear it with the windows closed.
Also it must be done at speed > 55mph.
I do have a trailer hitch but it seems quite tight.
Is this normal? Is it an issue I should bring up at the 5k service?

Question: After I park my car and exit the vehicle... shouldn't the doors lock automatically after a certain time? I was assuming they were automatically unlocking when I got close to the car but now I just realized it was never locked! Am I missing something or do I have manually lock it every time?

When I get near the driver's door on my 2008 Prius in attempt to unlock the door, nothing happens. However, when I get near the passenger door or the rear hatch, they will both open but the car chirps 5 times. The driver's door remains locked. It's not the battery in the key FOB, because if it was, no doors would open unless I remove the key from the FOB and physically open the door the "traditional" way.

What is the point of being able to start the A/C if it shuts down as soon as a door is opened? I'm not talking about using the feature when the charging system is active, but rather when the car has been sitting in the sun, such as while one is grocery shopping, etc.

While driving tonight I was making a right turn and I heard two short beeps and my interior light flashed on and off two times. This happened three more times after stopping and when I put my foot on the gas again the interior light came on and then off again, no flashing or no beeps.
I just hit my 16,000 mile mark on my 2014 Prius C two.

When I unlock my door by just touching the handle it only opens the driver door and if I am at the passenger door it only opens the passenger door. Is there a way to open all the doors without having to take the keys out of my pocket and hit the unlock button? I want to be able to open all doors by just touching the handle.
