Prius Plug-in 2012-15 :: 2013 - Location Of TPMS Reset Button?
Nov 1, 2013
I've been trying to locate the TPMS Reset Button on my 2013 PIP. I've searched and saw that it's near the bottom of the steering column but I didn't see it.

View 5 RepliesI just picked up my 2015 Gx460 last month. The TPMS light stays on after I changed the snow tires. where the reset button for TPMS is located?
View 14 RepliesI added air to my tires today and wanted to reset the TPMS, the manual stated that the button to hold for a few seconds is located on the lower Left side of the dash below the fuel door release button area. I searched far and wide and am unable to find any button?
Where this button is or how to reset the system.
How do you reset the tire pressure sensor 2013 Camry. Could find the reset button.
View 5 Replies2010 Camry 4 cylinder XLE. Manual, page 385, shows reset button at glove compartment. It is not there. I'm guessing it's under the dash somewhere, where only a contortionist can see or get to it.
View 6 RepliesI just hit 20,000 miles and my Hybrid System Indicator Trip B which has my historical data was reset to zero.
When I got to the first 10,000 miles it did the same thing but at that time I thought I reset it by mistake.
I have a PIP Advanced. I've tried using the remote A/C button on my key fob with no luck. Is there some special trick to it?

View 19 RepliesI just learned that the charging port is in the right rear, compared to the Prototype with the port in the left front. Seems to me that about 50% of the time, the driver will get in the car and drive off with the car still plugged in because they won't see the cable when getting in. Or at best, you will get in the car, and then have to get out again to unplug it. What am I missing?
View 19 RepliesIt gets really cold in the winter (-30 C is common). Now I'm wondering how does the A/C button on the remote work? Is it literally just for remote air conditioning or can it also be used in freezing temperatures to remotely start the car to warm it up?
Normally I don't warm up my car but when it's been sitting outside in -20C or colder I sometimes let it run a few minutes just to clear the windshield before I drive.
If the A/C button doesn't work the heat also in the freezing cold, will this kit for the regular Prius work?
If the remote AC button is pressed in middle of winter does it turn on the heat and if yes, does it stay on long enough to actually get some heat going.
For example, if I press it while car is in the garage and it turns on (auto temp set to 70 when it's maybe only 25 in garage), if I go out in 5 or 10 minutes will it have actually heated things up a little? Hope so because that would be better than going into garage, starting it up and going back inside.
Should the dial button illuminate when the dash lights are on? The gas door and km/mph illuminate, should this one also, mine currently does not.
View 2 RepliesJust bought a used 2013 Prius plug-in. It has 15" alloy factory wheel. There is one lug nut in each wheel that is keyed. Where the key for this lug nut is stored?
View 10 Replies2013 PiP w/ 39,760 miles (oops, edited miles 6/29). 90ยบ day this afternoon and for the first time ever it blew hot air.
- No codes via OBDii reader.
- Sight glass is completely clear, clean and empty. No apparent liquid present with A/C on or off.
I think the compressor runs of an electric motor, not the front drive pulley.
Is there supposed to be a serpentine belt on the crank pulley (there is none)?
Screen on OBD ii does not light up AC in monitor area, so I guess it does not have monitor refrigeration.
TPMS light comes on. Properly inflated all four tires, then attempted to reset the TPMS system. The procedure says to hold the button until the light blinks three times. Having done this in the past, I know that the light should stop blinking when the reset button is released. Now, the light continues to blink after releasing the reset button. When in regular drive mode, the button is continuously on.
View 2 RepliesJust had a flat tire. Was in a construction zone on an interstate so had to drive on the flat for a half a mile to get to a pullover spot. Had tires replaced at a Sears auto (only place open). But now can't reset the light on the dash. One thread said to push the reset button under the steering column while starting the car, but that doesn't work.
View 1 RepliesI have a bad sensor in a tire that just had a flat. I have ordered the sensor for the wheel and I am wondering after I install the sensor in the tire will the 'reader' pick it up and reset itself or do I need to go through the programming of the new sensor? At this time the TPMS warning light comes on and flashes for a minute or so before staying on constantly. This tells me it's trying to read the tire sensors but there is a fault, which is the tire sensor where I just had the flat. Costco tells me that sensor reads 78psi, which is incorrect. The fact that the reader is trying to read all the sensors and getting an error makes me think that it might reset itself when the new sensor transmitter is put in the tire? Any chance of this resetting itself or will I need to reprogram the receiver unit?
View 12 RepliesA few months ago my TPMS light on my 2012 C2 came on. I adjusted tire pressures and it soon went off again. A week ago it came back on. Again I adjusted pressures, but this time the light is staying on. I rechecked the pressures and all looks good. I tried the reset procedure in the manual to no avail. So what now? Just live with the light being on all the time?
View 8 RepliesI can't find the button to reset the TPMS light on my dash. It's not even in the glove compartment.
View 7 RepliesI picked up my new truck this week and am trying to learn everything about it. My current issues is my heated mirrors. My mirrors have the little icon in the corner for heated mirrors, when I looked in the manual to find the button to turn them on it showes the rear window defrost and the mirrors on the same button with both icons. My truck only has the button with the rear window icon on it. Do I have the wrong mirrors or the wrong button? Truck is a 2012 CC lariat with the Ultimate package.
View 6 RepliesAnother 5k miles and the maintenance required light has come on. The 300h wants its tires rotated. I don't want to take it into the dealer just for that. Which tire goes where in a Lexus rotation? Also how to make sure the tire monitoring system knows the tire location has changed? I can move the tires around myself but don't know how to reset the tire monitoring system to the new tire location.
