I recently purchased a Prius 3 - Solar Roof package -In the navi manual page 154, "Bluetooth Phone Message Function" - this feature does not show up in my car. I have the iphone4s, I am missing the feature with the phone synced and not synched.
View 2 RepliesIve got an iphone 3g and a Prius with the Sat Nav, i saw a clip on you tube about a year ago with some guy playing music from his iphone via Bluetooth. Ive tried to do this and it doesn't, the phone is BT synced with the car for the handsfree phone but in the audio tab one called "BT" is grayed out im assuming thats the one i need its next to the "Aux" tab. I don't know if they guy was using some third party software or something

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to figure out if I'm dealing with an isolated situation...my iPhone 4's BT music streaming tends to have a slow-down effect whenever I start using the phone. It doesn't have to be a million apps running in the background for it to slow down (as if someone just turned off the turntable while the LP was playing), it could be caused by a simple accessing of the phone main screen... My prior car (Acura TL-Type S '07) worked flawlessly with my iPhone 3GS, so not sure if it's the iPhone 4 or my Prius V...

Can't and don't want to load them all. I can't figure out how to load or create a contact without using my bluetooth phone.
View 1 RepliesI had to replace my 12 volt battery a few weeks ago. I'm also having issues with my samsung galaxy s4. For the last 2 to 3 weeks the phone in the car won't connect and the bluetooth is not working. Is it the car or is it the phone? If I uninstall the phone and reinstall it does connect but there's no guarantee that it will the next time.
View 5 RepliesI have a Prius two 2012, have been using an old iPod for music over USB, and a blackberry over bluetooth handsfree profile. blackberry phones allow you to manage which BT profiles are connected, I disabled the music over BT profile. but now I just got an iPhone 5s to replace both phone and ipod, it automatically pairs with all profiles supported by the car, no disable or selection per profile. I want to play music over USB, not BT, the quality is better.
But the iPhone doesn't support both, if BT music is enabled, then that is where it goes. i have not found a way to disable the BT music. I confirmed with Apple tech support, they say the car side decides what services to pair with the phone, the iPhone just slavishly does what it is told with no user control options. Looking then at option control on the radio side, i have looked at the radio BT setups, there is no option i can find to select which profiles to automatically connect. How to configure the BT settings so the iPhone is registered only for handsfree and not BT music? Pls note that have only the basic display audio...

View 8 RepliesI just got my prius last week! so cute and shiny and new... but...on day 1, I paired my phone (droid razr maxx hd) to the car and talked for about 5 min without issue.
the next day, this behavior started... I turn on my car, after about 30-60s, the phone and car pair. If I make a phone call right away, the car Bluetooth will turn off after 30s. If I don't make a call right away, after several minutes, the Bluetooth will once again shut down. The only way to turn it back on is to turn off and restart the car. (My phone pairs just fine with my 2007 prius)
I read online that the current razr operating system has issues... but never heard of this. The dealership is confused by the issue. Wondering if any of you experienced this and had the issue resolved?
We have a 2010 IV and a 2012 pip. My Android phone will pair and connect with the 2010. It pairs with the 2012, but the 2012 will then say "Connect Failed" when my phone is selected. My wife has an iPhone which pairs and connects to both cars. My phone uses Bluetooth 4.0 profiles. And after pairing I've limited it to telephone audio only. I've deleted and repaired countless times with the same result.

View 19 RepliesI switched from an Android phone to a iPhone 4 and after the switch I noticed that sometimes the bluetooth A2DP audio goes out in the middle of playing. The bluetooth does not drop connection or lose pairing, but there just no sound.
I can tap the "play" icon on the Nav touch screen and the sound comes back for a minute or so and goes out again repeatedly. If I don't do anything and just wait, after a minute or two the sound spontaneously returns and usually keeps going.
At first I though it was a problem with the podcast app I was using, but then I noticed the exact same behavior with playing music with the built-in native iPod app.
How does the Bluetooth work with the iPhone and the hands-free talking and listening?
View 5 RepliesI've had my new 2013 Model 3 for a whole week now and I love everything about it except for one thing: The Bluetooth will connect to my phone (Galaxy S3) and will play music from it, but it ignores the fact that all of the songs are in different folders. It treats all the music as if it is in a single folder and will let me move back and forth alphabetically or randomly, but I can't play a particular album. There should be controls at the bottom of the touch screen but they are grayed out and inaccessible.

I just bought my new Prius C3 3 weeks ago. I noticed when I have my iphone 4s plugged in to the USB and my BT is on I don't get the notification noise that i always do when I get a text message. When I get a phone call it rings on the car speakers since I have it connected to my BT but not the text message. I commute to work over an hour each way and i hate to keep checking my phone to see if I got a text since it's not going off when I get a message.
View 3 RepliesI figured out how to get the text message function to work on my head unit. It was a setting on my iPhone, under Bluetooth it was the "show notifications". Then all of a sudden bam any texts I get while in the car pop up and the HU will read them aloud, also there are a bunch of quick responses.
View 16 RepliesI have a 2012 PIP (assume same technology as non-PIP Gen 3s?). I paired my Galaxy S3 phone with the PIP and when my phone receives a text message, I get the prompt on the Prius' screen to read the text message to me. I then paired my wife's iPhone4 to the car, but when she gets a text, there's no prompt on the Prius' screen to read the text. Where should I start troubleshooting this?

Then I swapped over to an iPhone 6 and I can no longer see incoming text messages. I'll hear the alert through my car speakers but nothing comes up on the navi screen. I Googled and people said you have to unsync it, then resync it a few times to get it to work. But I haven't been successful.
