The passenger courtesy (in the bottom of the door) light bulb went out and I replaced it, and it still doesn't work. The same bulb works fine the driver side location. So i'm looking for the fuse, and can't locate it, anywhere. All the other lights and door functions work.

View 7 RepliesI was changing my interior lights with led bulbs on my 2008 lexus ls460, when I briefly shorted out the courtesy light on the the passenger door courtesy light while changing the bulb. Afterwards, the 194 led light was dim on the passenger door while all the other doors and dome were bright. I ran a multi meter test and found that it was only giving 9v.

The fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side doesn't have it marked and the local dealer can't tell me where it is either. They want me to bring it in, of course! Exactly where this fuse is located?
View 3 RepliesMy rear window defogger has stopped working. The owners manual, page 316, has the 3 fuse box locations and it says there is a 40 amp fuse in location #2 in fuse box under dash (says there is a 30 amp in location #1 for power windows). When I popped the cover off the fuse box and looked - there are NO fuses greater that 25 amps anywhere. Windows work fine. in addition - none of the actual fuse numbers line up with what the manual says or with what the inside of the fuse box cover says.

View 1 Repliesok so my passenger side headlight wont turn on installed new bulb still wont turn on. I pulled the wiring schematic and on the connector i have a h13 bulb with 3 pins for high and low beams. i have voltage when the low beans are on one wire WHT/TAN 10.9 volts (car off) and WHT/GRY is 10.99 volts (car off) the center connector is the ground, when i check the other side that is full functioning i get WHT/DR BLU 11.8 volts and WHT/ LT GRN 11.0 volts when i have the HIGH BEAMS ON THE RIGHT SIDE wires WHT/TAN IS 10.9 volts and wire WHT/GREY is 11.68 volts AND THE LIGHT IS WORKING
SO MY QUESTIONS ARE'* should i have voltage on the connector of the high beam when the high beams are not on
*what would cause the wht/gry wire to be 10.99 volts when it should be 11.8 volts
* how should i fix this could i run a parallel circuit off of the wiring on the fully functioning driver side headlight
I have a 2005 prius. The low beam bulb on the passenger side had a flash the other day and wouldn't be turned on any more. I changed bulb, fuse. It still doesn't work. The high beam on this side and the low and high beam on the other side are fine. I noticed the socket to this bulb is kind of fried. I check the voltage. It shows zero.
View 4 RepliesI just replaced (or almost replaced) the bulb on the passenger side of my 2008 prius. It is a HID bulb. I got the old one out, the new one in and connected and verified it is working. Now trying to get the cover back on that provides the weather proofing and unless im wrong... the braided wire that connects to the back of the bulb is in the way. It looks like it has to go thru the opening that the cover is supposed to seal... Imagine a rope hanging over the edge of a bucket you are trying to put a cover on... Am i wrong here? did I miss something?

There is a removable compartment but I am having a hard time removing the harness where the bulbs are located . I see two clips but I still can not pull it out to access the defective bulb.

View 6 RepliesI have a 2001 F150 Supercrew. On the passenger door, the courtesy light no longer comes on. It's the light on the door (not the doom light). If I open any of the other 3 doors, all of the lights come on including on the passenger side so I know the bulb is good.
I looked for a door switch, but did not see any along the door or frame of the door. How do I go about fixing this?
I just got my passat and I know i need to change a fuse because when i was installing my indash DVD i blew the one for my dash lights so i need to know where it is to replace it.
View 5 RepliesWent to start changing out my door courtesy lights to LED's today, changed the first one and it just flickered for a second when I connected it. I thought maybe it wasn't making a good connection so i made sure it was and nothing, flipped the bulb & nothing.
I went to the back door and tried the same and it worked fine with the led.
Took the front door courtesy light and swapped it with the trunk one to see if it would work and now the trunk one will not work either. no matter if Im using the normal stock bulb or LED, No power with a test light either. Fuses are ok.
The other 3 doors have power but not the trunk and front pass door, its like the circuit is dead there.
I wanted to replace the bulbs in my map light but ran into some problems. I was able to remove the first see-through plastic cover on the light. Also I was able to twist one of the bulbs out of the socket so it was loose but there didn't seem to be a way to pull the bulbs out of their metal holders. I tried with medium to light pressure on the right side bulb and it slipped from my fingers and jumped back into the area on the other side of the metal holders. Now I can't see it or reach it. What do I need to remove to retrieve the bulb and how do I remove it?

I was installing my LED interior light kit from deautokey and I'm pretty sure I blew a fuse. No interior lights are working now. I found the fuse box but which fuse controls interior lighting circuit.
