Will I have to remove the whole front bumper to change the front parking light bulbs ?
I noticed that one of them is missing and the other one burnt out.

My left driver side parking light is out.
Can you get to that light to replace it easily, without removing bumper, etc??
And if so, what kind of bulb does it take??
One of my Parking lights, the orange ones in the corner of the headlights burnt out, I want to get rid of the other orange one and just put clear lights in there, i dont like the look of the orange. How to access those lights so i can change them out??

View 7 RepliesHow to replace the FRONT RIGHT PARKING LIGHT. That is how it says in the instrument panel cluster...
View 1 RepliesMy front right (passenger) side parking light is broken and I can't figure out how to change the bulb. The left (driver) one is a simple twist and done, but the right one is just impossible.
View 6 RepliesLooking for info on these replacements and is there any manuals out there to assist with the process?
View 1 RepliesNot sure what they are called, but my front/right side/orange colored /non-blinker/US configured light is not illuminating. This is the fairly dim light that comes on along with the headlights.
It doesn't look easy to access in terms of bulb replacement, so how to get at it...or perhaps it's as simple as a fuse change.
Where the front parking lights are on my Prius C 2. When I turn on my head lights I only see the headlight in the reflection in the car in front of me. Am I missing something??

View 5 RepliesI have a 2007 Prius 90'000km with new 12V battery from last year. The problem I have is that the front parking sensors won't turn off when I park my car close to an object and shut the engine off. This fully drain my battery and I have to jump start the car everytime I switch it on. The technician from Toyota repair shop couldn't fix it and proposed to switch the front parking sensors off by unplugging the switch under the wheel. That didn't fix the problem at all since it didn't deactivate the front parking sensor but only deactivated the switch.
View 7 RepliesEvery time I park the car there is a weird electrical noise that comes from the front. Is this normal?
View 4 RepliesAt first the passenger side front parking light would randomly not turn on until you gave the light assembly a hard tap. Now I am having the same problem with the driver side low beam light. I checked the harness connector and it clicks firmly into place. So, I am guessing there's something not grounded properly somewhere on the light assembly. I'm hoping that a light film of dielectric grease will work but I can't tell where to put it.
View 1 RepliesToday the parking brake light didn't turn off when I released the parking brake. Other than the light staying on, nothing else unusual occurred. I did not notice any indication that the brakes were dragging. The brake fluid level was near maximum.
After reading earlier Priuschat posts on this subject, I found the cause which apparently is explained in technical service bulletin TSB BR002-07 (Parking Brake Light Won't Go Out | PriusChat)
Here's what happened to me. For some reason, the entire switch body loosened from the firewall and moved away far enough away from the lever arm such that it couldn't contact the switch and close it when the pedal was released. I think it happened because I pressed the pedal too quickly and with too much force somehow. The switch is at the top of the pedal assembly and it's not too difficult to reach
So, I pushed the switch back against the lever arm and presto, the brake light turned off as it's supposed to. I tried the parking brake several times and it is fixed for now. Now I need to determine how to tighten the switch so it won't move again.
About to replace seat belt (dog chewed original) and had two concerns:
1) Do I have to disconnect 12v battery (to avoid triggering airbags)?
2) Care in replacement installation due to "explosive" component?
I replace the frond brake pads. Press the piston caliper using a c- clamp. When my brake job is done, start the engine, pump the brake now the yellow light come on.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2001 ranger 3.0 auto 2wd and the abs light is on. this is what i have done so far. I had to replace all the front end joints so i took the front sensors and ohmed them and got continuity and voltage when i ran a metal past them and the same for the rear on the diff. so i figure they are fine. the wires to the frame look ok and i the truck has no damage so i figure the wires are fine.
I checked to see if the fuses are installed after I got the fuse layout and all the fuses are there and good. So I took it to advance auto and it came back with everything bad sensors motor controller and if anything else could be bad with the abs it said it was. I told them it is impossible for all of it to be bad. so it must be the controller. No I'm thinking the controller it the box attached to the abs pump and lines at the power distribution box under the hood.
Can I just remove that box and replace it with little difficulty or will i have parts fly out all over the place if i remove that box from the pump? All the pictures i see the the abs controller don't look the same as the one i have on my abs pump.
My Front Suspension NOW SHAKES; After Having the Prius Intermediate Shaft Replacement Recall done!!
I took my PRIUS to the dealer this past week and had the Prius Intermediate Shaft Replacement Recall done.
I have a 2012 Prius. How do I remove the front windshield wipers so that I can replace them?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 Prius that I've had since 2012. The parking brake light was intermittently having a hard time turning off every time I disengaged the brake and became more inconsistent until finally, now, for about 6 months the light has just remained on the entire time, regardless of whether or not the brake was engaged.
Just to clarify the brake is still fully functional and will prevent the car from rolling when engaged.
I recently failed my inspection because of the light. The mechanics of the brake are fine, but the light wont turn off. They quoted me around $1,000 to fix due to them having to rip out the whole dash to get to the parking brake assembly (8 hours of labor).
However, is there any way to access the pedal to do the repairs without having to take the interior of the car apart? I've also heard that it could mean my brake fluid is low? But they didn't mention that during the inspection.
