The door lock light will flash constantly when are locked, it don't matter how i lock the doors e.g., key fob, front doors or rear door. i have verified that all doors are locked and the car beeps once when i lock the doors. how can i turn the door lock light off, permanently if need be.
View 2 RepliesRecently, (luckily after the kiddo took her driving test) the ABS light constantly flashes at a steady non- patterned flash. Other than it just continues to flash, nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. Once in awhile it will not flash from a restart, but lately it's flashing more than not when restarted. I had hoped it would flash a certain pattern in order to troubleshoot the error.
View 1 RepliesThis just started tonight. The double beep and blinker flash still works when unlocking, but now when locking...it no locker beeps or flashes the turn signals. It also doesn't dim the interior light if I hit it twice.

For the past couple days my 02 passat drivers side door wont lock with out being manually locked, when my light are on and I get out of my car it does not chime and my lights wont come on when I open the door.

View 14 RepliesMy 96 F-350 Crew Cab driver rear door lock is stuck in the locked position. I don't have a cause but do now notice that the pass door lock will not operate with the lock/unlock switch. The rear solenoids seem dead. Front door locks are working.
I tried to put a 10-32 coupling nut on the lock riser and pull. The down position is now 1/8-1/4" higher than normal. This thing is really stuck and is really bad.
So before I start pulling the rear seat and trying to remove the door panel from a closed door; how I might unlock this door? It would be a lot easier to get the panel off if it is open.
I had a 2008 focus that had the parking lights flash when you lock and unlock the car with the key fob just wondering if the windstar does the same and if so how do you enable it as if you push the lock button 2 times the horn beeps and that is the only time i know the van recognizes the lock command i know that dodge's you push the lock button for 4 seconds but not more that 10 seconds then push the panic button but i didn't see anything in the manual unless i totally missed it.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2002 (First Generation) and can not lock the doors with the remote. It will unlock with the remote (lights flash) but will not lock. I have checked ALL the doors and they are closed, not ajar. Assoc. battery is at 12.77 volts. I have tried another remote, same one that came with the car and that one will not unlock it either. Remote batteries are OK. When I try to unlock the car with the Remote, the lights don't flash and it tries to lock but then it unlocks--just like a door ajar????
View 4 RepliesI had the service vehicle soon light come on the other day and it took out the gauge back lights, fog lights, and tail lights. Also, when I used to lock and unlock the car with the remote the exterior lights would flash, now they don't. I check all headlights and tail lights and none of them are burnt out.
View 11 Repliesso it started like a month ago my door light would occasionally come on for no reason now it's to the point where my door light is always on and it constantly dings, i know its the door lock module but is there any way to tell which door? it might be the trunk and also is there a way to temporarily fix it soi don't drive my car into a tree from being so annoyed.
View 4 RepliesRecently, I've been having issues with my door locks. When exiting the car, and pressing the door lock on the outside handle, I would here the door lock solenoid fire once, then open, and the door would not lock. Same thing would happen when I used the FOB. The door would not lock. On occasion, I would get the door to lock, and stay locked by using the door lock inside the car when the door was open.
On the occasions when I did get the door locked, I then had issues unlocking. If I approached the drivers door to unlock the door, the car would just keep repeatedly beeping, and would not unlock the drivers door. But, the back door would unlock, so I could reach in, and open the drivers door from the back.

I just had my windshield replaced two days ago. Could this be the cause? Is it something I can fix myself, or will I need to take it into the shop? I'm hoping I can just quickly re-connect something that became unconnected during windshield replacement.
I own a 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS with 20k+ miles on it. Purchased it about a week ago & had no issues until about now. About an hour ago, my check engine light came on & air from the driver side right vent started blowing even though the fan is off. What the issue might be? Also, my fuel door constantly pops open by itself. While driving, when I close my doors, and when I close my trunk it always pops open. Is there any way to fix this type of issue?
View 2 RepliesOn my 2010 prius, I recently had my windows tinted. Seems I have lost the single beep when locking the doors. I still get two beeps when unlocking. I also get the double lock when I put the car in gear. But I am having no issues with any of the door locks sticking. smart key isn't working as it was. When I walk up the the drivers door, the inside light would illuminate, that does not happen now.
View 10 RepliesMy fab works just fine (to unlock the doors) and I can lock the doors with the key. My problem is that for about 1 month, when I hit the lock button on the fab, all the doors lock but then the driver's door immediately unlocks. You can hear the doors lock, but then you hear the driver's door lock unlocking. I have to manually push the lock button switch (on the driver's inside door) to lock all the doors (and then the driver's lock unlocks, once again)... and then i manually push the lock on the driver's door. This is driving me CRAZY because basically I cannot lock the drivers door without going through this step. I have had the car for years and have never had a problem.
View 11 RepliesWe've had our '11 Prius II now for a couple weeks, and I have run into a problem I can't seem to figure out. When I lock the car, either using the button on the FOB or the smart key, then come back and try to unlock it using the smart key, it will lock the vehicle again. I have to wait a few seconds and try the smart key again and then it will unlock. I tried the search, but haven't found any thing describing this. Am I doing something wrong?
View 16 RepliesI'm a new prius owner. I noticed that when I'm driving and the doors are LOCKED the door will open if I pull the handle. Only the drive and passenger side opens when LOCKED in drive mode. The back two door DOES NOT open when LOCKED in drive mode. Is this normal?
View 4 RepliesI have a UK right-hand drive Prius gen 2 2006 T4 model.
My rear door on the driver's side won't unlock. it appears to be stuck in double locked mode. It cant be unlocked manually from inside the car and the lock button just springs back to lock position (as you'd expect it to do when in double lock mode).
I can lock/unlock the car other 3 doors using the fob, I can lock/unlock the cars other 3 doors using the internal button on the driver's door.
I suspect there must be a failure of the lock motor or solenoid inside the door but I cant figure out how to get the door unlocked just so i can get the trim off and check. What the cause or remedy could be?
