I remember seeing a suction pump to sample to the oil from the dipstick tube a few months ago . Today I want to purchase it, but just can't locate it again!

View 10 RepliesI have my 2011 and all of a sudden my car stopped being able to sense it in the car or outside the car. The lock and unlock function still works which is puzzling, and when I tapped it to the power button in effort to start the car, the car still does not start and says it can't locate the key. I dropped a 85lb weight on it the other week at the gym but it appears there wasn't any damage when I took the key apart, and it was working fine up till now. The spare works fine, but I'm just hoping I don't have to buy another key...
Also noticed this is the same part number, and since i only need the new circuit board I'm assuming, I wonder if its the same size as the prius one...
Rear ac suction hose not cold, need diagnosing...
View 4 RepliesI have a 2000 focus ZTS with about 190,000 mile. Near the back of the valve body near firewall I have a loud suction of air sound. I've checked all vacuums and they are good. I was told it's the air control valve but not sure. The car idles rough at all times and when I turn it off is the sound sounds like it's draining out.
View 2 RepliesSo upon start up of my 2003 Jetta GLI 24v VR6 I hear a noise in the cabin. Its hard to describe but almost sounds like suction of some sort. At hist i thought maybe the heat was on and the blower sounded weird but it was off. It does seem to increase or decrease wit RPM's and from drivers seat it almost sounds like its coming from glove box area. So maybe the car has no cabin filter? IDK I just bought the car and Im inexperienced with the VR6 platform.
View 3 RepliesWhen I open my door or the driver's side passenger door, there is a thwump or suction- like noise that sounds as if it is coming from the trunk.
I had a repair done a few weeks back and had a loaner 2014 TDI SE, and it had the exact same sound.
Been told my EGR valve is ok on my 96 accord . But I may have carbon build up in my suction side . I used deep creep for week to loosen up the build up. What else can I do?

View 6 RepliesWill be picking up my Camry XLE in a couple days. Told the Dealers not to install the front plate holder and plates.
So, I was wondering has anyone installed a bracket somewhere on/in the front without drilling into the bumper?
I prefer it like that, at least I can put on or take off without having marks or what so ever on the car.
Any references/blue print to locate part number for the engine bay?

View 2 RepliesI have a 1996 Ram with the V10 that only has 10,000 miles since it was replaced by Dodge. 7 years has passed since that shortblock warranty job. It now has a tick/knock that I cant seem to locate? I changed the lifters and one push rod since is was a little bent and put it all back together. Still getting the same thing - nothing has changed ...
View 13 RepliesI'm trying to fix bad AC odor in the car. Instruction says spray into recirculation vent as well as fresh air intake. Fresh air intake was easy but I can't locate recirculation vent. I put recirculate mode on and put the fan to max to feel where air gets moved but was unable to find the vent. Where it is located?
[URL] ....
Diagram there indicates there's one on passenger side and driver's side. I took the cabin filter out and inspected the blower motor housing. There really isn't any recirculate duct or vent. There is a big flap on top of the filter and blower motor housing that opens and closes according to the mode. So when the car is in recirculate mode, it just sucks the air behind glove box compartment.
On my recently purchased 2013 Camry with DUAL VVT-i on the engine I cannot locate the transmission fluid dipstick.. I have ordered the owners's manual but it has not arrived.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2005 Chevy Cobalt, 2.2L engine and am having a few problems. I believe I am losing coolant somewhere, but cannot ever see any leaks or anything on the ground where I park. I am having to top off the reservoir a couple times a month with water/coolant to keep the temperature from going up above normal (which I've found is around 190 degrees). I first noticed this when the temperature had reached 230 degrees! I also hear a sound like sloshing water in the front end when I first start and drive the vehicle. The sloshing usually subsides after I've been driving for several minutes. To top it all off I now have a bit of foam on the oil cap and the oil looks a tad bit cloudy.
View 10 RepliesHow to locate the 5 digit code on the SJB on a 06 Explorer EB edition. 1st get a flashlight and a mechanics mirror. Then locate the SBJ above the parking/emergency brake. on the bottom of the SJB there is a cover. If you can remove the cover then do it. It is Stamped on the other side. Or put the seat back and flip upside down on the floor and look with your mirror and flashlight, it is the only 5 digit number STAMPED on it.
View 4 RepliesGetting po171 and 174 codes. Also losing coolant, but unable to locate source of coolant loss. Had a 2000 Tahoe that had the same problem and had to replace the upper/lower intake manifold gaskets. I'm guessing I'm having the exact same problem with the suburban. Is this a common thing with the tahoes/suburbans? Anyway just want to see if everyone else thinks and if this is most likey my problem. Still getting good gas mileage and power....nothing is off...just getting those codes from time to time and losing coolant, but unable to find the leak.
View 14 RepliesI am looking for an answer to changing my 2007 Sonata fuel tank air filter that is mentioned in my 30,000 mile maintenance schedule. Is this an easy change or does my car have to be taken to the dealer for this?
View 4 RepliesIf you drive in 100 degree F weather, use your AC and drive up steep hills. Check your inverter coolant system for trapped air. The inverter pump cannot pump air. I had the LSC about 6 months ago and apparently the mechanic rushed the job and there was still an amazing amount of air in the system, I did this yesterday. Today I checked it again and no more air showed on my clear plastic tubing. Although I had to top the reservoir with 2-3 more ounces, so air could have expelled out of the reservoir and I would not notice it.
