I took a curve pretty aggressively with my worn out tires. I was neither braking nor accelerating. The skid control icon flashed a few times, but there was no beeping. I am pretty sure the flashing was from VSC activation. I thought this is accompanied with beeping from the buzzer. Has this been changed for the newer models?
View 5 RepliesI owned my Advanced model PIP for about 4 months now. I recently found out that the AC climate control in my entune app in my iphone doesn't work. Whenever I tried to turn it on, it takes more than 1 min, then finally shows "Climate activation was not successful Please try again". All other apps such as vehicle finder, charger management work well.
View 9 RepliesEvery time I get out of my 2012 prius and close the door with the key in my pocket, engine running, i get three exterior beeps. if i then open and close any other door while outside the car, i get three more beeps. i can imagine this is toyota's way of reminding me that the car is running and key is not inside. is there a way to disable this annoyance, either myself or at the dealership?
View 2 RepliesI have had this happen two or three times and don't know how to reproduce reliably. With my FOB in me, car beeps a few times when trying to open the driver's door. This is repeatable when in this mode; that is, trying to open the door produces few beeps but door will not open. The last time this happened, I clicked the open button in the FOB, and this produced the few beeps without unlocking the door. The passenger door opens, and my wife can unlock driver's door from the inside, and then I can turn car on and go as if nothing had happened. The best I recall this has happened in the garage. which is why the passenger door is unlocked, but don't know why driver's door is locked. Again, this has not happened enough to recall the pattern.

My car came with dealer remotes that don't have a button for the rear trunk lock which I saw is in the vehicle when I added the trunk spoiler. It would be nice not to have to open the DS door and pull the trunk release lever to open the trunk all the time....
View 5 RepliesBasically, with my phone paired to my entune system via bluetooth, at times, the system doesn't understand how I'm asking to make a call, especially with people I call on a normal basis (like my fiance). for example, I'll say, "Call [Bob Harper]" and then it'll ask me which of the following did I mean to say. One possible name it'll bring for would be "[Joe Smith]" which sounds nothing like the name I told to call. I understand voice dialing isn't perfect, but most of the time, it's not dialing the person I want to call. Maybe it's the way I'm speaking into the mic.
View 8 RepliesI'm putting a new double din stereo w/ backup camera in my truck, I have everything wired except the violet/white wire (from the stereo) that needs to be hooked to a wire (on the truck) that will activate the camera when you put it in reverse. I cannot figure where this wire is on the 2012 for the life of me.

I own 2010 3rd gen European Executive Prius which is equipped with fabric Toyota's alarm VSS1. I read in manual it is possible to set Automatic doors lock function (over 12mph) , but is not described how to enable that function. How I can activate this function?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2013 Camry, and here goes my issue. I can push the unlock button and the car beeps, and triggers the unlock. Now when I hit the lock button on the fob, nothing happens when I try to lock the car, and every now and then when I unlock the car, all doors on the car unlock except the drivers door.

When i pull the right stalk towards me to activate the front wiper washers, the rear washer turns on, and nothing at all comes out of the front washers, but the front wipers would still wipe several times as they normally would when front washers are activated.

At times my 08 will beep when I open the driver's door and I have the keys in my hands. The only thing I can assume is that it thinks the key is still in. On occasion this has caused my battery to go flat.
To stop it I just go through the sequence of putting the key back in, put it in D then P then foot on the brake and the off/power/start button, it took me 5 goes to get it back to normal tonight.
I definitely thought this was because my fob batteries were low, because 2010 Prius started beeping three beeps while driving last week, but while parked in the garage (OFF), with both fobs very far away from the car, it's beeping three beeps every 20 seconds. I even locked it using the fob, and it's still beeping every 20 seconds.
I've got two new fob batteries on order, but I worry the 12v is working overtime. What else could it be??? My sister's 2009 Prius is also parked in the driveway..
Receiving three outside beeps while driving. Happen about every 3-5 minutes. No warning lights are on. All doors are closed. Keys batteries were replaced a few months ago.

View 2 RepliesThe manual lists a ton of personalized settings that either you or the dealer can set. Problem is, I can't find in the manual where it describes how to set these personalized settings.
I found that you can set the smart door unlock so that it unlocks all doors instead of just the drivers side. It's pretty easy. You just get close to the car and hold lock and unlock down for about 5 seconds on your key fob. After 5 seconds you will hear two beeps. Two beeps means that all the doors unlock now when you use the smart door. Three beeps means only the drivers side door opens.
When I put the car in ready, the car will beep 3 times. It's like, foot on brake and press start button, then car shows ready, at the same time it goes chirp-chirp, then beep beep beep. I'm just wondering if the 3 beeps can be turned off? I didn't find any thread regarding this beep. I did find many about turning off the seat belt beep, reverse beep, etc. and I already turned off those beeps.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2005 Prius with 64k miles, I bought used from a Toyota dealership, Toyota certified. It was purchased in Nov of 2009. In Nov of 2010, I moved the car onto the grass in my yard to make room for guests in the driveway. It was fairly cold out, but I don't think below freezing.
The battery was at all blue bars, with only the top two green ones not charged.
After I moved the car I turned it off and opened the door to get out. The car started beeping at me as if I had left the key in. However I had the key in my hand. I put the key back in, started, turned it off, took the key out and opened the door and the car started beeping at me. (identical to the sound when you leave the key in)
At the time I reasoned that it must have always done that and went back inside.
I just bought a new Prius V and love it. The only think that I'm annoyed about is the car beeps when I have the lights on and the drivers door open. Given that the lights are going to go off in 30 seconds anyway this beeping isn't a useful reminder of anything.
I have tried changing the auto off timer to 0 and everything works like I would expect. When I open the door the lights immediately go off and there is no beeping. However, while getting out of my dark garage at night having the lights stay on for a while would be useful.
