My 2010 II has two power sockets, one under the radio, and another inside the center console. The center console one does not work, whereas the other one does. I checked both the fuses, and even swapped the two fuses. I also checked several other fuses just to be sure. No fuses are blown and nothing changes by swapping the 2 power port fuses.

View 8 RepliesThe cigarette lighter adapter inside the center console of my 2010 Prius (next to the USB/iPod and AUX plugs) does not appear to be working, although the adapter underneath the gear shifter works fine. A few weeks ago, I found some coins, which I keep inside that center console that had gotten wedged inside the cigarette lighter adapter cavity. It was after removal of those coins that I first learned that the adapter was not working (I tried a few different devices to make sure that it was the adapter itself not working).
From reading the web, it sounds like the fix may be as simple as replacing the fuse. From what I understand, the fuse is just above the emergency parking brake. If so, where do I purchase a new fuse and how much does a new fuse cost? Also, how do I know which fuse needs replacing? Is that in the instruction manual?
Any possibility that there's an off switch that I accidentally hit?

View 1 RepliesI just bought a used 2012 Elantra GLS with 24K miles. I tested almost every possible function of the car before I bought it however I didn't try out the 2 power outlets expecting them to both work on a car with only 24k miles.
Anyway, the center console outlet doesn't work. I'd like to check the fuse box first thing in the morning. I work night shift so I won't be able to get to it til then. Any other things I should look for?
On a trip I managed to pop both the fuse in the rear of my 07 B6 Variant and also the one in the rear of the center console. Checking the manual indicates a 20A fuse in both position 33 and 35 in the right hand fuse panel. Following the numbering scheme in the manual there were no fuses of that value there.
What are the correct position numbers. Also following the other threads my power outlets were switched with the ignition.
I have a 2009 Prius with the Aux port in the center console. It has stopped working unless you jiggle the cable. Need to get a replacement?

View 3 RepliesSince I purchased my 2010 Prius about a week ago the center console top never slid completely forward. It slides to about where the cup holder insert is and stops. I've taken the cup holder out and it still stops in the same spot.
View 19 RepliesMy 2012 Prius makes noise in cold days. After careful examination I found the noise comes from the rubbing between the joystick cover and the center console bridge cover. If I press the joystick cover with my fingers, the noise will be significantly reduced or even eliminated. So I think if I put a layer of soft material there, I may be able to eliminate the noise. How to remove the center console bridge cover? Either pictures or video will be great.

View 14 RepliesAs some of you may be aware, I swapped out my OEM HU recently for an aftermarket one -- I show it in post 486 here -- and for various reasons, I decided to go back to stock. I got a pair of 70-1761 & 71-1761 wiring harnesses (because I have a 4-channel aftermarket amplifier) and in a lapse of judgement I tapped the dimming wire into the illumination wire.
Later that night, I noticed when driving with my headlights or parking lights on, the center console buttons don't light up. Specifically, the radio, home & other buttons don't light up and all & the climate control dial knobs are very dim. The ventilation buttons buttons of the HVAC all light up fine & my hazard & passenger seat belt light up fine.
I already check the instrument cluster dash light control & I notice the dial knobs react to it but are still very dim. The brightness of the instrument cluster doesn't match their brightness at all.
I went ahead an looked at my fuse box under the steering wheel column and checked the 10 amp PANEL fuse & it's not blown. For good measure, I swapped it out but the buttons still don't light up. I then checked EVERY fuse under the steering wheel column & non are blown.
In addition to that, I checked every 10 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box & non of them are blown.
i just picked up a Black 2010 camry le yesterday, 20K Miles for 15$.Tints are getting done today, spoiler ordered, window rain guards ordered, next is fog lights.. are our cars pre-wired for fog lights or no? can i just get a fog lights from ebay and install them?URL....also does the inserts in the bumper just pop-out? no screws right?

I have a 2013 Elantra GLS. I use a USB stick to listen to music. Sometimes it would reset the center console/radio if I leave the USB stick in, but this time it didn't turn back on.
View 5 RepliesHave an '07 ES350 non-ML audio system with navi. When out to the car today and found out the radio turned on when the car started but most of the audio control buttons on the center console no longer work. They worked fine the previous day. Here is a brief list of what does and does not work.
Power/volume : pushing it in to turn the radio on/off no longer work but rotating it does increase/decrease the volume
Tune/file : works fine
All other audio control buttons on the center dash for cd/am/fm/track control no longer work.
Sound from the speakers is fine.
The mode selector on the wheel works fine.
Navigation works fine.
As it is now, I am unable to turn the radio off since the power only responds to volume control. I am able to switch between radio and cd using the mode button on the wheel and the sound is fine. Could this be a fuse issue perhaps?
Both front seat heaters are not working on my 2009 Avalon XLS. The center console lights do not illuminate. I presume it's not the fuse because according to the owners manual the 7.5A fuse also controls dash light, power outlet and flashers and they all work. Could it be another fuse, or something else? I can use a voltmeter

There is no mention of it in the Owners Manual. Every other bulb is referenced. Should I junk it or replace the bulb?
Upgrade the single led light that shines down on the center console?
I would like it to be brighter to make it easier to see the drink holder while driving at night.
