We have a 2010 Prius, and I can't remember if AUTO just works on AC. or is suppose to work for controlling heat also. (Doesn't seem to) Nothing in book, and search turns up nothing.
View 19 RepliesI bought a 2003 Nissan Frontier XE that is in really good condition. The only noticeable problem is that the knob that controls the fan speed of the heater and A/C only works in the 3 and 4 positions. I can here the belt engage when I turn the knob to 1 and 2, but no air comes out. So basically, July in Tennessee, it's either very hot in my truck or very cold.

View 1 RepliesWhen i turn my heater on, the ac come on instead. It does not matter what position any of the dials are on as soon as I turn the blower on the ac comes on. I do not see anything obviously wrong with the controls. All turn as they should nothing is striped. I have the 3 dial control setup no auto heater controls at all. and nothing is digital.
View 2 RepliesI have noticed on my 2011 Elantra, that the heated seat no longer remains on. I turn it on, level 1 or level 2, and a second later it turns off.
This only happens for the driver seat, passenger seat works fine. Why this might be?
I have an 03 Passat and the controls on the drivers door work only on that door, it is seemingly not connected to the other doors. For instance, only the drivers window will operate with the switch, but the others will operate with their individual switches. The door lock will only lock the drivers door as well, but if you use the passenger lock/unlock it works the other 3 doors only as well. The mirror control does not work either.
I checked all the fuses and everything seems fine.
I got a 2014 Passat 1.8T Wolfsburg Edition, it came with the RCD 310. The only thing that works is the radio but only with the steering wheel controls. Is this a common issue for this radio? Is there a way to reset or should I start looking for a replacement?

Does the prius c heater work if we set inside temp higher than outside temp ?(Difference is 2 or 3 degrees ). Is the heater take more energy than AC ?
View 11 RepliesMy wife has a 06 Sonata with the Manual AC controls. The blower motor works intermittently. Sometimes it works, other times it does not. It does not matter which setting the HVAC is in. Yesterday while driving it, we went over a bump in the road and the motor started running again. Since the motor runs, I want to discount the fuse and relay.

View 7 RepliesMy 1968 F250 blows hot air with all controls set to off. The truck is fairly new to me and I'm a complete newb with a wrench....or screwdriver.....I think this should be a fairly easy fix? Aside from that it does work well.....it just doesn't shut all the way off.

View 19 RepliesI have a uk 2010 t4. The air con only works on the passenger left and centre left. From the RHS vents its just unrefrigerated. Ie -7c on the left vents and 0 ish in the right vents.
So when you start the car on a warm day you end up with actually hot air on the RHS and cold on the left (!)
I have a 2012 Prius hatchback. For the last 3 years the satellite works just fine however for some reason about a month ago it just stopped finding a signal? The FM and AM radio load just fine (even though the signal typically stinks) but when I go to a Sirius channel it just says "loading" and I never get a signal. I called Sirius they did all kinds of test signals over the air but could not find an issue. They told me I should go to the dealer..
View 2 RepliesMy parents have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. The blower that controls the a/c and the heater does not work consistently. It just works when "the spirit moves it." I took it to a mechanic today. They didn't even look at the car. They just went by my description of the "symptoms" of the car. According to the place I went, it needs the whole nine yards (naturally). How could they tell what was wrong without examining the car?!
View 8 RepliesTo kick off the coldest week (so far) of the winter season, I noticed a problem with the heater controls in my 06 Explorer with manual temp. controls. No matter which fan settings I select (defrost, panel+floor, etc), air does not blow through some of the vents. I can hear the fan working and air flows through the defrost vents and through the floor vents, but the there is no airflow through the vents below radio and round vents on the far left and far right sides of the dashboard.
Perhaps related to this problem, a couple months ago I replaced the blower motor resistor because fan speeds 1 and 2 did not work, only 3 and 4 worked, so whenever I would turn on the heat or A/C, it was on full blast all the time. After replacing the resistor, the issue was resolved and all of the speeds worked well. I guess I just never realized the issue with the vents, or maybe the problem happened because I replaced the resistor?
Since I'm not too knowledgeable with the climate control circuit, I'm not too sure where to begin, perhaps the switch or blower motor?
I have a 2000 Limited Ex and was wondering can upgrade the heater controls to the digital controls. What would have to be done to accomplish this task?
View 7 RepliesI like to have heat coming out of the vent. However, in the winter, when I click for it to come out of the vent (as opposed to the floor), it turns on the A/C full blast. I then turn off the A/C and turn down the fan speed. About a minute or less, it automatically turns itself back to floor heat.
View 11 RepliesHow the rear seat vent works? When you started your car and car was moving, did you notice that vent is always blowing? OK, I just notice that my rear seat vent just keeps blowing when my car is moving. Especially, it is loud as I hear when I turn off my radio.
View 5 Replieswhat are the common problems that cause the rain sensors to not work. The speed one and two both work, but when i set it to auto the wiper will work one time but then never again. when i move the sensitivity switch to the left and then back to the right it will work once more.
