View 8 RepliesRecently the car would make a beep when it's being turned off. I vaguely remember it's signaling something like the FOB battery being weak but not sure.
View 3 RepliesNew noise maker means they turned off that "cabin" beep nonsense when in "R"? With our ZVW30, the ONLY indication that the last of the gas is gone is the 'power flow' arrows disappear. I'm wondering if Toyota might have brought back something to let the driver know the last of the gas is gone.
View 10 RepliesIs there a way to disable the beep when reverse is selected?
View 19 RepliesThe technician at Toyota showed me the options. You could either have a continuous beep or the intermittent beep, but you do not have the option of turning it off. I told him it was possible, but how?
View 19 RepliesLooking for the instructions for disabling the reverse beeping on a '11 prius?
View 2 RepliesI want to turn off the seat belt beep on my C. From what I understand, it can be customized by the dealer when you get the car (free?), but I didn't know that until I read the manual. I asked at my last maintenance and they said there's a $50 fee because they have to connect to the OBDII port and push a few buttons. I asked when scheduling maintenance next week, was told the same thing about the fee, and the employee said they'd check with a manager and let me know about doing it free (haven't gotten a response).
View 19 RepliesI noticed twice on the commute this morning that my vehicle made a long beep sound after completing a left turn. There were no other warning lights/messages on the dash. The first time, I thought it was something coming through over the radio, so I turned it off, and the sound continued, probably for a total of 6-7 seconds at least. It's similar to the beep that comes on if you start moving and the passenger is not wearing his/her seatbelt. The radio was totally off the rest of the way and it happened at the next left turn I made (when I got off the highway). Although it was icy this morning, it was not particularly slippery at the intersections when I made the turn and I did not notice the TCS coming on, etc.
View 10 RepliesIf you are tired of that irritating continuous beep while in reverse, I can take care of that for you. I can customize your Gen 3 (2010-2015) prius to only beep once while you put your car in reverse. Process takes about 5 min and can be done anywhere. If you are around the Vacaville, Fairfield California area, we can meet up and I can customize your prius for you. Hit me up if interested.
View 5 RepliesI picked up a bluetooth OBDII scanner and plugged it up, and tried following the instructions found on this forum. Only problem is, every time I run 3b ac 40, I just get a return of NO DATA.
View 2 RepliesA couple months ago I bought a 2010 with the basic trim package. How to change the Beeping in reverse from continuous to "one beep". The owner's manual says that you have to take it to the dealer.
View 5 RepliesI could have sworn that I read somewhere on here how you can use the Scan Gauge II to change the reverse beep, but like they always say I cant find it now.
View 12 RepliesI had the reverse and seat belt beeps changed by the dealer before I took delivery. Now I want to install some mods which would entail disconnecting the 12-volt battery. With pre-2010 Prii the beeps would go back to the default settings. Will this happen on the 2010+? I don't want to make another trip to the dealer.
View 10 RepliesI love my V8 but the thing beeps every time i breathe. Is there a way to turn off some of the beeps/chimes/ or turn down the volume?
View 24 RepliesHow to shut off reverse beep using OBDII?
Is this possible? or do I have to take it back to dealership?
Can I use Torque to shut? I have a GEN III
If you open your door just before you turn off the car, it dings until you shut the door. Why?
It doesn't make sense. Its in Park, the steering wheel moves forward, yet it beeps continuously if the door is open before you hit off like you left lights on or something.
Any way to remove the "beep" sound at redline? i love that it shows the yellow yellow then red but the beep can get annoying.
View 14 RepliesWhen I put the gear on reverse, parking sensors beep even there is nothing behind the car! I tried to clean the surface by my finger!
The Last time that they worked pretty well was before I unplug and plug the power cable of my stereo system while battery cables were connected!
Can the problem coming from for that? How can I take the sensors out and clean them fully? Do you think disconnecting the battery for one minute can work?
I get a double warning beep that only occurs when turning onto a new street. This is a different beep than the lane departure beeps, blind spot monitoring beeps and the forward collision beeps. All of these are uniquely different beeps from sound and number. This double beep that occurs when turning onto a new street does not have any associated warning message that is displayed when it occurs.
2015 Azera Limited
I've had my 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited for one full year now and this is the first problem I've encountered, and its a strange one.
After parking and shutting off the vehicle (with the push button since I have the smart fob) if I exit the vehicle and shut the door the car will produce a loud BEEP for several seconds. If I look through the window, the screen on the instrument cluster will very briefly say "key not in vehicle" as if I had left the engine running, but actually the engine is off. The message goes away after a second or two, but the beep continues for a few more seconds.
After the beep stops, I'm able to lock the doors normally by pushing the button on the door handle or using the remote. It seems to happen about every other time I park/get out of the car, but it is random. The only pattern I've found is it always happens if I am in a rush. If I turn off the car, open and close the door quickly, it almost always beeps at me. But if I turn off the car, sit inside for a few extra seconds and THEN get out, it seems to be fine. What could be causing this?
So I have a 2003 vw passat glx and I just had a shop replace my heater core. Anyways I got the car back and now when the drivers door is open the inside light doesn't turn on. It does when the other door is open.. Also when I lock the doors via remote it doesn't horn anymore.
