Could not identify part name. I see some leak at this connection. Could be transmission fluid or coolant. I got check engine light on my 2007 prius.

Last week I checked my transmission fluid and it was very low. I added fluid and checked it the next day and it was low again. I noticed trans fluid on the front of the pan so i went out and bought a new trans filter and a new trans pan gasket and replaced them, sealed and bolted the trans pan back properly, and added the fluid. I thought that this would fix the leak but I see that the pan is still leaking from the front of it.
I have a 2000 intrigue (w/ a 3.5), it is leaking tranny fluid pretty bad. I cleaned under the tranny to see where it might be leaking and I was hoping it was the tranny pan, but it is not. where else would it be leaking? it looks like its possibly coming from the passenger drive axel. how hard is it to fix it? I keep adding fluid so I dont wreck my transmission but this cant go on for ever.
View 2 RepliesI have noticed a few drops of red liquid on the driveway lately, presumably transmission fluid leaking. Where the leak typically starts, if there is a "typical" leak. Is it generally an expensive fix?
View 2 RepliesTranny fluid spews out pretty good underneath. Is it likely a broken hose? Where do I start?
View 3 RepliesI'm shopping for an older used VUE. I have a 2005 with the V-6 and five speed auto. I need to know how to identify a VTi. Did all the fours come with them through 2005? Last dealer I talked to said he couldn't find a transmission dipstick and this would tell me it was a VTi. Is there a database on GM or anywhere fr cars that had transmissions swapped out that I can search by VIN?
View 1 RepliesMy 04 has a leak in the wiper fluid system, after running the wipers with fluid, the reservoir leaks and goes bone dry. The rear window never receives any fluid but the windshield receives its normal amount with no noticeable drop in pressure.
Here's the weird part, there are no visible signs of a leak. I poured 3 liters of water and watched it all drain, but there was no water underneath the car. My car is sitting on a slight decline in the garage with the nose slightly higher than the rear of the car.
I pulled the reservoir out and it is not cracked, the leak appears to be somewhere else and it seems to be collecting. I even moved the car and didn't see a puddle of water. What might be happening or where I can look to find anything? I haven't taken it to the dealer and would prefer not to....
2002 2wd, 4dr has a power steering fluid leak. I am losing fluid in the resevior and there is a mess at the bottom around the steering box, lines and sway bar and it's hard to find the origin. it is not leaking at rest with or without the engine running. What are the more common leak points in this system?
View 6 RepliesSo, whenever I park the car after a trip it always leaks fluid when the A/C was on which I know is normal but now it seems to leak a lot more and I'm wondering if that's where all my coolant goes. Where exactly does it drip from from the A/C? Is that somewhere in the cowl?
View 8 RepliesIt looks like I have a small leak under my 2001.5 Passat. It is a yellow fluid. I just had my engine light come on but it has since gone off. Whether or not its an easy enough fix to do myself. Very Little actual fluid comes out and if I had not seen it in the snow I would not have noticed.
View 1 RepliesSo I've been noticing my power steering in the reservoir has been going down for quite some time. Now its more noticeable than ever. Just about a month ago I topped off the tank to the "max" line and now its at the "min" line. I also notice the fluid on the garage floor. I've always had a lot of grease (I assume the fluid) all around the body and under the reservoir under the hood. It seems to be leaking from the hose where it connects to the actual reservoir. Maybe the clamp is bad or something.
View 14 Repliesjust found out about this a few days ago. It seems that the leak is between the fluid container and the tube. I just used some zipper to tighten up the connector. Where to buy this tube and the steering wheel fluid, and how much are they? My car is a LE V6 2007.
View 13 RepliesJust checked out at 2003 V6 LE with 120k miles for $5500. Car seems to be in excellent mechanical condition but I did notice quite a significant power steering fluid leak, seems to be coming from the reservoir. I see that there are two hoses for about $80 each listed on Partsgeek.
Is this a common problem, can the clamps just be tightened, Could it be the reservoir it's self or even the pump too high a pressure?
Seems to be quite a lot of fluid running down the side of the car but after taking it for a test drive I didn't see any signs of it squirting out so perhaps it's a slow leak and been leaking for a while.
Light film of white smoke from the right side of the hood wheel underneath the passenger wheel an slightly from the front no antifreeze in vehicle at the moment car parked an not driven since the altercation.
View 12 RepliesI recently noticed that my brake fluid was leaking in my 2003 Hyundai Elantra and upon further inspection I found the leak was coming from a part near the master cylinder. I looked online and couldn't figure out if this part was part of the master cylinder or brake line or a part all on its own. I tried tightening it but It still leaks some. I read a similar post online and that it could just be that the washer needs replaced but I just wanted to check on here to see what the part is called and if I should just replace the whole thing. I included photos as well.
View 7 RepliesMy 2009 prius last month with 34800 miles on it from toyota dealer, and im wondering if i should go ahead and get the transmission fluid changed,, it is almost 36k now and dont know if i should wait a litle longer, they did some minor services prior to sell it at dealer but transmission flud is not listed
View 6 RepliesWhat is the right mileage to do transmission fluid change on my 2009 prius? Toyota said I don't supposed to do it on that car, never, but i think that's not right. I do lifetime warranty on transmission but still would like to put fresh fluid on transmission. Its about 190dlls at dealer. I currently have 44k miles on it and I am not sure to do it or not..
View 9 RepliesI'm trying to change my trans fluid on my 2010 Toyota Prius I, but I go under there and look, and there's NO drain plug and NO filler plug! It's just completely solid, with a black electrical thing on the front (looks like an electric pump or sensor of some kind). I've watched videos, read articles, read manuals! I would just hate to have to take it in to the same dealer who's telling me "it's good way past 100k miles..." .
View 19 RepliesAny information about checking the fluid levels and changing the fluid on 2011 Prius transmission and differential?
View 3 RepliesMy original intention was to replace the engine oil in the car. I was in a hurry(yes....I know) I could not find the oil drain plug. I did find a large bolt which turned out to be a drain plug for the inverter coolant instead. The instant the fluid drained from the car, I knew it was not engine oil. I did not know the drained fluid was inverter coolant. It had the color of a transmission fluid but significantly less viscous.
View 17 RepliesI have 2012 Prius C, I want to monitor my transmission fluid temp with my scan gauge II. I watch the MG1 and MG2 temps, which can get very high, like 215 F. I hope this isn't the trans fluid temp as well.
