P0A37 - Generator temperature sensor circuit range/performance
P0A2B - Drive motor "A" temperature sensor circuit range/performance
My check engine light popped on for me a couple days ago. P2043-reductant temperature sensor range/performance. Truck still runs like a raped ape, no change in driveability. Just over 21k miles. No "speed limited to 55" messages or anything else. Basically no change in the truck other than the light.
View 12 RepliesMy CEL is on for P0116 Engine Coolant temp circuit, range or performance problem. I replaced the CTS, thermostat, and did a complete coolant flush/replacement last November. Car worked well over the winter no issues. Last week when the CEL came on it gave me P0301 and P0440 as well. I did a reset and the lights stayed off for the week. Then P0116 came back. Is it possible that the CTS is bad again? I measured the resistance on the CTS and hot it is about 300 ohms and cold is 2.45k ohms.

View 2 RepliesHad a customer car with DTC P0A9B in 2005 Prius with 170k miles so out of warranty. Car would code immediately when turned on but would drive fine, 45MPG average etc.
Dealer had told customer solution is to "replace entire HV battery assembly". .
Customer battery ECU was 89890-47070.
Got a slightly newer battery ECU 89890-47071 from a hybrid recycler in Denver. Replaced only the battery ECU, cleared codes, no more problems. Car now running great.
I recently picked up a 2005 f250 SD 5.4 4x4... I was having issues with sporadic shifting and wandering shifts while cruising around 100kph, scanned it and came up with p0721 OSS sensor circuit performance fault.
I checked the harness and all looks fine, now I attempted to remove the OSS at the rear of the tranny, got the 8mm bolt out however could not, for the life of me get the sensor out. I tried not to use pliers to twist the sensor or anything for fear of breaking the sensor off and having bits go into the transmission.

I have done some google search on the above diagnostic trouble code P0705 and as i understood , it indicates that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has received an input error from the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS).
Since the check engine light illuminated two times (two separate occasion) then it turns off now; the ECM is actually receiving input signal from the TRS.
So that leads me to think that the TRS is actually working but the problem might be one of the following two:
1- Open or short in the TRS circuit?
2- Dirty transmission fluid.
What do you think the steps i should do first of all ? how would i check the transmission fluid since my vehicle has no transmission fluid dipstick. My driving condition would fall into "severe" category and it reached 60,000 miles now ...
The MIL light came on and I noticed the shifting P-D or P-R was hard. Checked the Transmission Fluid and noticed it was low. Topped it up, but still MIL is on and shifting hard still. I bought a OBD2 Scanner and it returns P0707 "Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Low Input". Should I try clearing the DTC? It's a drag because it's my wife's car and she's driving mine.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 f-250 6.0 liter turbo diesel. I was pulling a trailer with a golf kart on it and was not in tow haul. I was going up a hill and it shot up into 5th gear. I pulled into my house and shut it off and refired it and it acted fine. I went on a little test drive to see if it was going to do it again before I went on my trip. As soon as it shifted into third gear the tow haul light started to flash on my dash and went to 5th gear and would not down shift even if I did it on the column.
I scanned the truck with my snap on modus and it gave me these codes. P0706-transmission range sensor A circuit range/performance, P0707-transmission range sensor A circuit low input, and P1702-transmission range sensor circuit intermittent. I put a transmission harness in it and started it up and it ran fine and the codes were gone. I went for a test drive around the neighborhood and as soon as it hit 3rd gear it did the same thing as before. Today I put the old one back in and checked the codes so I could write them down and there weren't any so I went for a drive and it shifted through all the gears great and downshifted fine as well.
I pulled into my drive way to check for codes once again and there weren't any. I was gonna go for a ride in tow haul to see if it would do it and as soon I put the truck in reverse it started to idle high and the tow haul light started to flash again. I put it in drive to pull back into my drive way and it immediately shifted into 5th gear and threw the same codes...
Need solving a P0172 code I had. I just pulled out the MAF sensor and cleaned it with a MAF Sensor Cleaner (at most auto parts stores). Worked like a charm and the code went away and the gas smell is gone too.
Now I have a new code - P0712. I have been extensively searching the web and cannot find any good information on how to resolve this issue - "P0712 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Low Input" ...
I checked the fluid level and it is fine.
I have a 2005 Camry, 2.2 liter, 4 cylinders...
P0073 Ambient air temperature sensor circuit high. Preliminary inspection, right outside mirror badly damaged/broken. Guess where the sensor is?
View 6 RepliesCheck engine light is on, this is the code that came up when checked at OReillys, "P0113 Intake Air temperature sensor 1 Circuit high input". Earlier took it to repair shop, he did not give the code, some sensor needs to be changed (don't know if he came up with same code). He had erased the code but it came back on within minutes. Wanted to check if there is any cheaper way to fix this. This is a windstar van.

I went to AutoZone to have the codes checked and this is what they came back with:

Can I drive on these codes, or should I park the truck until Ford can see me?
The service truck threw a CEL, and i pulled oxygen sensor performance bank one sensor one code. That would be driver side sensor between the manifold and cat, rite? Don't want to change the wrong one...
View 11 RepliesI have a Toyota prius 2008 with 130,000 miles. I kept getting red triangle sign, the car will slow down and will need to pull over, shut it down and restart. I went to the dealer. First they diagnosed 12V battery issue, so we got that replaced. The red triangle sign kept coming, so we went to the dealer again, they replaced transmission fluid. They said it was low on transmission fluid. The red triangle sign kept coming. So we went to the dealer again. They said it is transaxle internal problem. The diagnostic code is P0A37. I have a couple questions. In California, what is the warranty for Transaxle problem. In some posts I saw 180,000 miles, 10 years. The dealer said they called Toyota and Toyota does not cover the repair. It is a costly repair. Second , is this code really requires Transaxle replacement.
View 16 RepliesOkay, so I have a 14' 6.7L, about 18,438 miles on it and the check engine light came on when I was at the gas station ready to leave, and so I took a field trip to auto zone and they scanned the CEL and it came back as P20BA - Reductant Heater 'A' Control Circuit Performance and they said I need to change out the pump assembly so I took it to the dealership and they cleared the code which worked for awhile, about 4 months ago the light came back on and I'm wonder if I should get the pump/heater changed out or get it deleted? The warranty is going to end in august this year..... It's been fine no issues with the truck, even tho I drive with the CEL on and just wondering what I should do? The CEL has been on for almost 5 months.

I have replaced the 02 Sensor, Passenger Side (Pre-Cat), with a Motorcraft DY831...
I reset the Check Engine fault codes, and took it out for a 50 mile journey... Check Engine light is back on, with the same exact code... What next?
I understand that it may be a fuse, and/or it may be a short in the wiring... Exactly how to test the wiring from the connector at the 02 Sensor all the way back to wherever I need to test?
I really need detailed directions, like wire colors, voltage required, or ohms, or whatever is included in this process...
I just had my 1998 Passat 1.8T with 97000 miles checked since the engine light came on. It started this afternoon and the car ran just fine. I took it to an Advance Auto and after they plugged in the OBD tool it came back with the code PO 116. Engine Coolant temp CKT Range/Performance.
The fellow decided to clear the code and then the car would not start. I waited for about 15 minutes and the car started with some hesitation and the light was out. When I got home I let the car sit for a few seconds and it started perfectly like nothing ever happened.
Does that mean that the temperature coolant sensor is bad??? I have a Hanes manual and apparently is not too difficult to do. Would I have to partially drain the radiator?
I have a po6a7 code boost gauge pegged at 40 code says vref circuit b out of range. What sensors run on circuit b and what could possibly be the problem my camshaft sensor is reading fault on scanner don't know if that has anything to do with it taking the truck to the dealer is not and option it's a 2011 6.7 with 75,000 miles....
