I have a 2006 Toyota Prius
Nothing is displaying on the nav screen. I removed the MFD screen and inspected it can't find anything wrong with it the soldering looks fine. Is there anyway I can test the unit before buying one.

So maybe it is just my incompetence on this.... however, I was putting my second tank of gas in the 2016 and the Fuel Filler door will not shut...
Not only that but since the door will not shut, on my dash screen it keeps saying "Refill Ready" every 5-10 seconds.
The Navigation touch screen does not work. I can still us controls on the steering wheel, bu the touch screen is dead. I am assuming that I just buy and install a new screen? Or could there be something else to trouble shoot?
View 6 RepliesMy 2010 had a small compass to show north all the time in the upper left corner. When I add the compass on my 2016 it splits the screen which is a real mess.
View 4 RepliesUsed the Nav for the first time this morning and it worked great - only problem was after about 1 minute it would automatically revert to the HOME screen on its own.
Only way to get back to Nav was APPS then NAV - but then only stays for a minute then back to the HOME screen.
I find the home screen to be a great idea and I generally love it. Today, while using the navigation system, the system kept returning me to the home screen after a few minutes of not interacting with it. I'm fine with it doing this on the audio or weather apps, but when I'm actively navigating I'd rather it would stay on the nav screen until I hit the home button. I skimmed the settings and the manual but did not see this addressed anywhere. Is there a setting I am missing someplace?
View 1 RepliesYesterday morning my wife's JSW TDI wouldn't stay on after starting it. The screen kept displaying, "Key not in range". I swapped keys and every one of them did the same thing. It doesn't have keyless start, so it's not that. It would start then shut off like an immobilizer issue. I disconnected the battery terminal and reconnected it and that fixed it...for now. I did some research and everything I've found said the cluster needs replaced. I made a video of the display and the car shutting down.
View 2 RepliesSince having the latest entune update at the dealer, my GPS screen now automatically dims too much when the ambient light is lower in the evening. Tried messing around with the contrast and brightness controls and the rotary dimmer control on the left side of the dash.
Could not get the brightness to be like it was before the update. Street names are pretty much illegible at night. If I raise the brightness at night to the point where I can read the street names, the entire screen is super bright on the eyes.
Took the car to the dealer and they surprisingly agreed this is abnormal. Have an appointment next week to have this problem investigated.?
I have a 2010 (IV) and the screen stopped responding to touch, I looked it up and seems like a common issue in the 2010.

When I try to input anything, when I tough the screen, buttons to right of where I am touching come up. For example, on the info screen, when trying to go to the settings screen, all I get is the numeral zero.
View 2 RepliesVehicle: 2009 Toyota Prius Base ... Recently my car started showing the master warning light along with the temp warning light on the navigation screen. After opening the hood and inspecting, there is a coolant leaking from somewhere. Took it to the dealer and was told there is no leak but a bad/blocked coolant tank assembly. Question is, if I bought the tank myself for under $1k, could I replace it myself? What would be involved besides replacing coolant? Do I need to get the air out of the lines? Etc.
View 19 RepliesMy car Gen.2 was 200K. I change the water pump and thermostat on 150K. The reason to change the parts because I think my car a lot of miles. The car run great no problems. Till last month my car had overheat on freeway at night time. The temperature up to 245 F have the red triangle on dash and thermometer icon on Navigation screen. Before overheat on same day on the daytime when I take off I heard sound water running in the engine. The day after I check the level coolant in the reservoir tank was full but in the radiator need to fill up the coolant. After that when I drove the car the coolant overflow form the reservoir all the time. I have to check and fill up the coolant in the radiator every morning. I been the many shop ask them about the symptom of my car. Some they told me water pump failure, some said thermostat failure open all the time or some told me head gasket leak. I check all the engine didn't see any leak but I saw coolant overflow from reservoir...

The info screen said "Pop up hood error", I asked the salesman about it and said that the car needs preparation and be reset....
I want to believe it but my mind is taking my opinion that something triggered the pop up hood pedestrian protection... maybe a little hit? I don't know.... and maybe the salesman is being honest and it is normal.
The bumper is all ok, no signs of damage, (the car arrived yesterday and my girlfriend went to take a look).
I have my home screen set to show audio on the left side, weather upper right and climate lower right. Even though the audio section is the whole left side of the screen, it does not display the artist or song information for radio stations. If I click on audio, though, then in the full audio screen (with presets, etc.), it does show the artist and song information. How to get the info to display on the home screen?
View 9 RepliesMy Navigation started to display a message "Unable to Read Data" and would not display the Map on my Certified 2008 LS460. All other displays worked just fine and there were no other problems with my Navi. This had been an intermittent problem for a while so I decided to bring it to Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly, Virginia. I paid them $130 to diagnose the problem for them to tell me that I need a new Navigation ECU - which at first they quote $15,000.00 I FLIPPED! I let them know that I would deal with not having a map and navigation and got my car back!
When they gave me my car I started it up to see the wrong time displaying on the clock and a message that reads "A program cannot be read. Please consult to a dealer" displaying on my screen. I immediately got my SA out there to look at the message. He tried to tinker with all the buttons and couldn't get the message to disappear so he brought his supervisor to look at the message.
They explained to me that when diagnosing the problem they tried to reset the system by removing by battery and it didn't work (Yeah, Actually it made things worse!!!) and now it is evident that my ECU has apparently completely died (and I find it such a coincidence that it happen to die while in their hands diagnosing the issue). They took the car back to see if they could do anything to get it back to the state it was in when I brought for diagnosis.
If you have Navigation there is a selection inside "weather" to view a weather map. No matter how many times I try all I get is a screen telling me it is "down loading data", but I never see the map. How to view the map?
View 5 RepliesThe OEM DVD player in my '04 started having problems with occasionally displaying a disc format error across the screen. The movie usually still plays, but the lettering is stays on the screen. If you go back through the menus it will sometimes go away or you just have to eject and reload the DVD. Now it does it pretty much everytime we turn the player on.
View 8 RepliesAccording to the navigation manual (attached), the navigation screen should go to the home screen within 5 seconds. But my IS never goes to the home screen without pressing the home button, but it always shows the full screen map. I tried many different things including "Auto Screen Change" setting but nothing seems to work.

View 14 RepliesI recently purchased a 2011 hyundai elantra and i bought a aftermarket navigation. I connected everything how it should be (i think) and the navigation screen would not turn on but the buttons work and volume and everything else but the screen wouldnt turn on. I took it to a mechanic and he told me it was this strip that was burned. But it was working before he messed with it now the radio doesn't sound. Nothing works. Im trying to find the name of this part so i can buy a replacement.
