I recently replaced the front wheel well liner on the passenger side. The old one was shredded and I figured it had come loose. I put a new one in and made sure all fasteners are used (bought new fasteners). Still during some freeway driving the liner did not stay behind the lip of the front bumper and rubbed a small hole in it from the tire. Any way to prevent it?

View 1 RepliesI have a 2011 F250 6.7 XLT crew cab with just over 50,000 miles. A couple of weeks ago while heading to work I experienced a very violent Front end bounce while driving on the freeway. My Speed was around 55-70. I experienced this front end bounce on after hitting a patched portion of asphalt on the freeway. I lost complete control of my vehicle and had to slow down almost to a complete stop in order to regain control. When I got to work I checked my tires, wheels and under carriage. I found under abnormal. Well it happened again today. Again on my way to work I hit a bumpy stop in the road and experienced this "Death wobble" (youtube it). So I decided to take it to the dealer and have it looked at. On the way there it happened a couple more times.

View 1 RepliesI would like to install some driving lights behind the front bumper of my 2005 Super Duty, I was going to drill two 5" holes and than weld in some 5" pipe from the behind the bumper and attach some 5" KC driving lights to it. Would a hole saw work for this or is a bumper to thick? I was looking at DeWalt or Lenox hole saws their bi-metal. I know that I have to drill slow and I was going to use cutting fluid. I could use my drill press but I think I would have to figure how to clamp a bumper to the table. Then I am going to grind/sand the chrome off and paint it black. I will be taking the bumper off doing all of this.
View 4 RepliesI was driving on the freeway in houston yesterday and it was about 30 degrees. The low temperature light was on... Does it make a difference when it is cold? Why would there be a light to tell u that it is cold outside?
Anyways as I was driving on the freeway the red triangle with an exclamation mark came on and disappeared. Then a minute later it went on again and on the navi screen shows high coolant temperature symbol on it. But then it would turn off right away too so is this normal because I was kind of slowing down on the freeway and the book did say something but I don't think it was an excessive speed or anything.
Driving on the freeway over 50 miles per hour the car dies goes really slow goes down to 30 miles per hour almost no power....

View 1 RepliesI've got a 2007 Touring with 40k miles on it. Never had any issues until about 2k miles ago, when we started noticing noise while driving on the freeway. The higher the speed, the louder the noise. It starts to be noticeable at about 40mph and gets really annoying at 65 - 75mph. It seemed to come from the RH-side, and the dealer was quick to blame it on out-of-alignment tires. Dealer 'investigation' was about 2k miles ago.
We've changed and aligned the tires this week; alignment on all four corners was almost within tolerances (off by a small amount). I've also changed the oil, since it was due.
Nevertheless, the noise is still there; now it seems to have 'moved' directly in front of the driver. What could it be?
I want to install a large screen just in front of front bumper with enough height to protect windshield from rocks thrown up on the gravel sections of the road. I can weld a frame (or use a window screen frame), but how to affix it to the front of the car? Are there solid attach points I can use?

Today while driving a paving stone fell off the landscaping truck in front of me and (luckily) only came in contact with the black plastic air dam under the painted front bumper. The corner of the air dam is damaged and it looks like a 1 piece unit to replace. What is the part number of this piece?

View 7 RepliesYesterday while traveling on the freeway and using cruise control my 2016 Prius beeped loudly, displayed the message "Cruise Control is Unavailable" and dropped me out of cruise. I turned cruise off and back on, and got the same message. There's also an orange indicator light blinking that looks like a car hitting another car, and the "Cruise Control is Unavailable" message now displays on the info panel every ten seconds*. Collision prevention is also unavailable.
Was this something I did wrong? Is there a way to get cruise control and collision prevention back?
I was on my way to work this morning when the car just stopped accelerating (or so it felt), all the dash lights came on, I pulled over to the side of the freeway (I was very lucky). Radio and a/c were still working. Powered off, powered on too soon a couple of times - the red triangle and check engine both came on again. Cooled my jets and gave it a few minutes, powered on and the red triangle was gone, but the check engine was still on. Drives perfectly, no problems w/either gas or hybrid engine.

Biggest problem running a hundred plus Prius in LA is the skirt front bumper is so low to the ground (for better aerodynamics) ... less than 5 inches ground clearance when loaded ... it hits the ground and bows the side moldings of the bumper.
I have the Toyota Prius C and was wondering if it was possible to stay on EV mode when driving over 20MPH? I always put on ECO mode. Sometimes EV shows up, but then it disappears? How does that work?
View 19 Repliesjust checked my front fender liner(driver and passenger side) and noticed it was cut on the outside between the fender and liner from front of fender to back making a 2" gap above the tire. i bought the car used 2 years ago and never noticed it. i have 20k miles on it. is this a needed part to change? will water damage any items located under this fender lining? i figured they cut it out for an aggressive tire set up and drop???
