The Navigation touch screen does not work. I can still us controls on the steering wheel, bu the touch screen is dead. I am assuming that I just buy and install a new screen? Or could there be something else to trouble shoot?
View 6 RepliesJust took delivery of my 2005 SC430 (Egyptian Sand, white leather, 55k miles. Lovely vehicle.) which I thought came with Bluetooth.
However, when looking to pair my iPhone 4S the 'Phone' icon is not present on the ML Nav Info display screen, suggesting that maybe Bluetooth is missing? I confirmed it's a 2005 from the VIN.
When I depress the little button below and behind the steering wheel volume buttons (left side - this is a US car) I get a voice saying 'No cassette inserted' or words to that effect, suggesting it's a cassette control button, not a Bluetooth one. The Nav instruction book which came with the car specifically refers to the presence of Bluetooth.
How to find if I have Bluetooth or not? My iPhone cannot 'discover' anything.
I thought I saw, somewhere, the ability for the navigation screen to display the angle of tilt (both horizontal & vertical) of the car in real-time. I'm only able to get the display of altitude and front wheel angle.

Today when I was driving on the highway, all the sudden the audio display screen (no navigation) was turned off by itself, but I still hear the sounds from the speakers. all the buttons were not working. after few minutes, the display system seems reboot itself, then it was frozen at start screen with only shows the Lexus logo on it. until I pulled over and restarted the car, it was back to normal.

I just threw in a few bucks (well it's a Prius after all) and it still showed 0 as the range.
Wife said the info screen quit for a block this morning. The radio also stopped at the same time. After a block it came back to normal. Is this a sign of something coming? We have a 2005 genII with 80,000 on it.

Got in the car with my iPod "splitter" cable adapter (on one end it has the ipod connector and on the other end is the USB & Auxillary cables), my 6th gen ipod nano, and hooked it up only to find that the Audio info was not connecting to the screen. I found that you do not need this "splitter" cable, all you need is your ipod adapter. You can use the that auxillary cable for a Walkman or something ! Glad, I figured it out the first day or i'd be pissed trying.

The Info screen shows the icon for the Automatic Headlight Leveling System. So Ive been searching, and have found a few threads related to this, but the fix Ive seen referenced I cannot find since the posts referencing the fix are about 5 yrs old. View 19 RepliesFor the past few days, every time i turn the car ON (with the headlights ON), the nav screen, clock and surrounding buttons illuminate as they should, but after ~3 seconds, the illumination for the surrounding buttons and clock shut off.
Also, the touch-screen functioning and surrounding buttons do not work at any time. The nav screen remains illuminated, however the touch-screen buttons and surrounding buttons do not work. If i turn the car off and restart, same thing; all lights illuminate for about 3 seconds then stop.
During the day with no lights on, the clock will illuminate for ~3 seconds, then shut off just like above. None of the surrounding buttons (climate, map, infom audio, display, etc) work at all.
What would cause this unusual condition? I feel like if a fuse were blown, it wouldn't work, period. But, the lights illuminate for a few seconds before shutting off.
The emergency flasher button works and illuminates always, and the passenger airbag lights do, likewise. I pulled the nav unit from the car and checked all cables, and they all appear in place.
I can communicate with the car via the voice commands, but that's it.
what might be causing these strange symptoms?
I got an 07 LS460 without navi but it still comes with a screen. Last week, the display started to work only intermittently and got pretty pissed. Last night was driving without the screen, but when a passenger stepped in, the jolt kinda made it work all over again. However, this morning it didn't work again.
I brought it to the stealership today and they claimed that the fuses are all working and its the screen that is spoiled and has offered to replace it for about 12kUSD. What do you recommend me doing. But first I am gonna try to remove the battery for 20mins tonight to see if it gets better.
I have a 2011 Limited Edition Sonata that I had for 4 years now. My audio system completely died. Does not turn on, thus no sound. Buttons don't work either.
On top of that, the display screen (that shows what track/radio station is playing, and clock) is dead as well. I checked the audio fuse, and it looks fine (U shape).
Before both went completely dead, it seldom came on but would die on me again. Now gone for good.
I have a 2006 Toyota Prius
Nothing is displaying on the nav screen. I removed the MFD screen and inspected it can't find anything wrong with it the soldering looks fine. Is there anyway I can test the unit before buying one.

I have all functions turned on inside menu options. I have Sirius xm subscription and they told me it's not a service they provide for Lexus. So I'm thinking its a service from Lexus, is this true ?

View 10 RepliesI have a weird problem... on my 2004 Prius, the Info button on the wheel occasionally stops working. Originally, I thought that it was the button, so I just pushed harder, but that didn't accomplish anything. I can still access the screen through the MFD button, but the steering wheel button remains dead until I power off the car, then it works fine.
